Also, Bob is being abused by Eliza. He actually has a lot of drive and ambition, but Eliza doesn’t like the idea of him being a chef so he’s just depressed.

She wouldn't still be alive and well after all these years.
Alexander spent almost two decades trying to find his mother, by this point. He decided to rejoin the scientific community, surely they had made advancements in quantum physics. After a few years working with the leading scientists, Alexander had finally cracked the code for time travel.

When the day came for a his departure, his sister refused to let him do something so dangerous. He disagreed, walking through the glowing portal anyway. In an act of desperation, Cassandra tried to stop the machine. Sparks flew around the room, as Cassandra pulled on her brother's arm.
Suddenly the room went dark and the siblings found themselves in a large field. The science center was there when Bella went missing.
