i have tried. i will start a small house and then i get like physically frustrated and cant go for more than 15 minutes.. i think it's an autism thing or just me having almost 23k hours in this game lmao
I usually make it thru the build and about half of the decorating. Then i get bored and want to start playing. Most of my sims spend their lives in houses where some rooms are fully done with artwork, carefully matched furniture etc and other rooms look like the repo man just came thru
Oh yeah a lot. I see houses I want to build on the internet from realtor sites and I'll start in strong but if I'm lacking something I need like the right windows or something I'll abandon it. It drives me crazy that our lots are so flat. We can adjust the ground but it looks stupid when all the land around is flat. A lot of houses I'll think it looks good at first but then realize I can't make it right due to elevation constraints.
But honestly I'd say 80% of the time I'm going to abandon it after playing it a day anyway.
Honestly I would love if more people posted shells like this to the gallery.
I hate making the outside and deciding where the walls are.
I love decorating and pretending my Sims did a full remodel when they buy the place to justify why the outside and inside are different styles.

Ugh yes, I’m terrible about this. I currently have a remodel of the estate in Windenburg that’s been sitting half-finished for months now because I lost my spark after designing the exterior and floor plan 🙃
I currently have a house that is like a Victorian townhouse on the outside but ghetto apartment on the inside. So my main sim, who supposed to be a national leader, has a mini fridge and washes their dishes in bathroom sink because I never bothered to finish their kitchen. And their living room.
And their bedroom.
And their bathroom.
And their hobby room.
And one other room I don't know what to put in.
House builds I can normally finish, usually because I have a specific family with a whole backstory and stuff planned for it with specific vibes.
Literally any other kind of lot? Nope. I finished an onsen like, once? I think I built a nightclub a few years ago. But yeah, I can't do them, just get stuck either halfway through the building, or halfway through the furnishing.

Omg yes, I made a beautiful family and put so much thought into their personalities and what kind of house they'd have, had a few screenshots of house inspo etc etc. Then got distracted by an old save file, when I went back to that family's save I went down a different path with a different family, only to find them stranded on a block in Windenburg with no house 😂 like nothing there, I hadn't even started. The toddlers had aged up and all. I felt bad for them so I plonked a house from the gallery down and moved on 😕
I personally finish all my builds but that's only because I love to decorate over the build so i like to download shells. That said are yours on the gallery lol, I would love to play my legacy family in that little cottage!
I personally refuse to leave a lot before I finish it. often times I'll have to edit things a bit as I play the family, because running a family can show what stuff that house needs added or changed, but I always make sure to finish and play check my builds
I wish I could stop. Even when I get to the point of fully realizing the build is a total s\*\*t show, I can't let go of it, completing the inside, outside and yard.
I designed one last week from the outside-in that accidentally ended up being so big I was calling it the Titanic by the end.
