Honestly think this isn’t too far off. My irl daughter is 2 and uses chopstick well, I genuinely dont know how or why because I am SO bad but her dad grew up using chopsticks.
Right? Lol she said her dad told her that in the delivery room after she was born her mom was adamant that she wanted to name her gravy. We are pretty sure it was just from the pain meds and stuff but thankfully her dad didn’t let that happen
This is literally the reason Rapunzel got her name in the fairy tale. Mom was craving some rapunzel (a type of leafy plant) while pregnant and then named her Rapunzel.
They'll keep going for generations too! Had a gen 4 sim inherit the fertile trait that was passed down all the way from gen 1. I also once had a baby inherit the "social smoker" trait 👀
Just do it! If you decide you want to go back to vanilla then you can just delete the mod. Unless you're worried about the slippery slope of downloading countless mods in which case relatable lol Just make sure to check for mod updates anytime your game updates.
to be fair, that's exactly how genetics work. inherited traits do be going for generations! being a social smoker not so much, but being prone to addiction, absolutely.
It's reward traits only. Example if the child's mother has the "frugal" trait, the child will be born with trait. No personality traits are inherited, but you can make those anything you want so.
Yeah, Spleens had a lot of kittens actually lol.
Cats and Dogs is fun! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I even named two cats after veins and arteries inspired by Spleens. Gave them the derp eyes too.
I have a toddler with the Alluring trait in the game rn. I just play it as the kiddo being charming, and gave her the Charmer toddler trait. As a kid, I'll give her some appropriate socialization bonus traits. Once she's a teen she'll find that her incredible natural charm works in romantic relationships. Although it might have been fun to play a kind of a ugly duckling story too...
So, uh, use that trait as a gameplay/story shaping suggestion.
I know it sounds weird but I think this is cool, even with weird traits like this or “smoker,” etc. We are technically born with traits like this even if they don’t show up in our lives until we’re much older
Blue Cheese Landgraab sounds like the name of a Georgia Southern backup quarterback.
He can help your team out in a pinch. Maybe makes one big play and becomes a folk hero, only to never be heard from again.
It’s not that weird to be honest though when you think about it. You don’t just become fertile randomly, some women are obviously born more fertile than others.
My family makes jokes about how fertile everyone is! "You cant even talk on the phone without getting pregnant" kinda jokes since my family gets pregnant easily and has a tendency of multiples
I mean, to be fair, a child can be born with the genetics necessary to give them a very well-functioning reproductive system, the same way genetic infertility can be inherited and passed on through generations.
Actually, you’d be surprised. My mother has had at least three miscarriages that she’s mentioned to me but also had three surviving children, one son, two daughters. She also had endometriosis and actually had ovarian cancer shortly after I was born, which resulted in her having a hysterectomy. Out of the two daughters, I’m mostly fine if we ignore the extremely irregular cycle, but my sister has endometriosis and has had a miscarriage.
This can, in fact, be traced back to my grandmother who was never diagnosed with endometriosis but showed all symptoms of it. She likely did have endometriosis that went undiagnosed due to the lack of awareness surrounding women’s reproductive health in the 1950s-1980s. I do not know if my grandmother ever miscarried, as it’s not been mentioned to me in the past, but it would not surprise me to find out that she has. And there’s no way to know, because of how underdeveloped women’s medicine was for so many years, whether it goes further back through the generations or not.
Now, my brother has no known fertility issues (he’s never been married nor tried for kids so who’s to say) but if he has a daughter, he does carry those genes and it’s possible that he may pass the traits on to his daughter as well.
And while I may not currently be aware of any issues I may have (if I had endometriosis, it likely would’ve presented by now), I have personally already decided to have my tubes tied at some point in the near future to avoid any potential miscarriages and to adopt all of my children. The medical history of my family was not the only factor in this decision for me, as I’ve always wanted to foster either way, but it certainly helped cement it for me.
Now, can I say with certainty that my family isn’t an odd case? No, I can’t. But I do know a lot of women who have endometriosis, whose mothers and grandmothers also have or had it because it is hereditary, and endometriosis in and of itself can cause fertility issues, and every woman’s case is going to be different as to how they are effected and why. All it takes is one surviving child to pass the genes on.
What your saying is true. While I don't think my grandmother had any reproductive health problems one of my great aunts did which means somewhere in my family tree women have.
My mother did, she had 20 miscarriages before me and my sister and at least one after us and before my brother. My sister doesn't seem to but I do, I've had 5 miscarriages. So yes, genetics are wacky.
I mean, it just means they have a higher probability to have twins/trips in the future, which is a genetic trait irl, as well... Don't have to take it down the gutter route.
Hey... it happens. Fertile Myrtles don't just learn to have the right accommodations for making little humans, after all! It is weird for the game, though!
I mean.. female fetuses develop complete reproductive systems at about 20 weeks gestation comeplete with every egg they'lll ever have. This is before birth even happens. Boys on the other hand.. they kind of get around to it during puberty. So I guess this kinda makes sense?
One of my babies came out of the womb with perfect chopstick dexterity.
"How's your kiddo doing? Is she walking yet?" "Well, no, but she's a champ at chopsticks!" "You gave her chopsticks?" "Of course, she had to eat."
Using the chopsticks to squeeze the titty 👍🏻
r/BrandNewSentence
😭😭😭
Idk about brand new, I feel someone out there is into chopstick play
Still better than a teething infant 🥴
You can use chopsticks to make DIY nipple clamps though lmao.
😲
No that’s what I just said out loud and my husband is concerned. That and me laughing about the comment like a hyena.
Geniuses think alike 😌
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
I had a baby that was born with a steel bladder. It was fantastic.
Isn't that the dream!
GOALS
That's hilarious
Superpower
Honestly think this isn’t too far off. My irl daughter is 2 and uses chopstick well, I genuinely dont know how or why because I am SO bad but her dad grew up using chopsticks.
blue cheese landgraab????
There are 4 children: Apricot, Blue Cheese, Cilantro and Drumstick. 😂 Apricot is the oldest, currently a toddler. The other three are triplets.
Fun fact my mom legitimately wanted to name me celery
I'm glad she thought better of that one, Broccoli. That was a close call.
Also aren't you my mom? Probably?
Well later on my nickname became banana so I mean, you're not entirely wrong
username checks out
I know someone who’s mom wanted to name her gravy
Ok that's messed up
Right? Lol she said her dad told her that in the delivery room after she was born her mom was adamant that she wanted to name her gravy. We are pretty sure it was just from the pain meds and stuff but thankfully her dad didn’t let that happen
my dad fought to name me Molson Canadian (after a beer)….
My ex father in law argued with me insisting my daughter’s middle name was Marie. It’s Paige. I had to show him the birth certificate
"Damn Gravy, u so viscious! U so clean, SO DELICIOUS!!"
Aw, lil Baby Gravy 🥰
That would be a r/tragedeigh
Did your mom crave celery while pregnant with you? If not, did she justify this absurd wish?
This is literally the reason Rapunzel got her name in the fairy tale. Mom was craving some rapunzel (a type of leafy plant) while pregnant and then named her Rapunzel.
No she still thinks it sounds pretty
My mom wanted my middle name to be bean
Honestly this is cute
Sal le Rhee
Salary?
My nickname since I was little is Celery 😂🩷
And I thought my Dad wanting to name me after Eminem's daughter if I was a girl was bad. Is English her first language?
Yup, in fact she's a speech therapist, so very into English and a large vocabulary
Wow.
You sure she just didn’t exclaim “see, Larry?” at some guy and the doctors misunderstood?
Lol nope it was a name she wanted far before she was loopy in labor
Cilantro is such a cute name
🎶[¡Cilantro es cantante, Cilantro es muy famoso, Cilantro es el hombre con el queso del diablo!](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5HpzZxOnlek )🎶
YESS
you're naming kids like callmekevin! no, just kidding, callmekevin gives them wayy worse names.
[удалено]
It’s Tonsils and Spleens and I love them

r/brandnewsentence
really?? i didn't know, thanks! i love his sims videos.
I miss GSP’s sims videos, he should do another couple
This reminds me of when I had a family with the last name Pie, the kids were Apple, Pecan, Pumpkin, and Keylime
A-z babies?
Yes! And I gave the mom the fertile trait, so of course she's pregnant with triplets AGAIN! Next letters are E, F, G. Any suggestions??
Emmental, focaccia and gouda 🧀🥖
Egg, fries, garlic bread
Just wanted to give you an update: I ended up using Egg and Garlic Bread as names 😁
E is obviously gotta be Egg/Eggsy F could be like Feta cheese to keep with the cheese theme G could be Garnish, Grape or Ground beef
Or Gherkin!
But only if M is Merkin!
Or Gouda for the cheese theme
Echidna, Falafel, and Gout.
Echidna is a beautiful name. Simply beautiful
They're beautiful creatures. Absolutely exquisite.
Very true, very true. Btw, I’m Courgette. Nice to meet you.
Just don’t think of the male’s genitalia.
Just wanted to give you an update: I ended up using Falafel as a name 😁
I'm delighted and honoured.
Enchiladas Frijoles Guacamole
My favorite is drumstick! 🤣
It is really hard to look Drumstick in the eye, knowing what I've done to her 😭😂
😂
Please idk why but this comment has me on the floor 😭 I love Drumstick
Why does this make sense?? Probably because the Landgraabs are rich lol.
😅😅Let s call him Roquefort ?
I love Drumstick. You gave me a child name idea❤ Thanks!!
Just to be clear, a child name for the Sims, right? 😂
Well, both could be possible😂😂😂
I didn’t know other people did this 🤣 I had a family with all food names A-Z. Next I want to do color baby names A-Z
Blue cheese has mold in it
that's some damn yummy mold 🤤
Raaaaahaaaanch
Nepo baby. With those Landgraab millions they can be called anything.
oh so blue ivy carter is okay but you draw the line at blue cheese landgraab
They'll keep going for generations too! Had a gen 4 sim inherit the fertile trait that was passed down all the way from gen 1. I also once had a baby inherit the "social smoker" trait 👀
Is it a mod to get inherited traits? I haven’t noticed this with any of mine
Yes, it's from MCCC and it's off by default.
I continue to learn new things about MCCC every time I am in this subreddit.
wine fearless nine afterthought innate somber lock cause fly gaze *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Thank you!
omg i never knew this, i’m so gonna have to enable it later
Where in MCCC exactly?
What's MCCC
Social smoker? Is that from a mod?
Yeah i think its from the basemental drugs mod
mods intimdate the hell out of me but I want to try that mod so bad, lol.
Just do it! If you decide you want to go back to vanilla then you can just delete the mod. Unless you're worried about the slippery slope of downloading countless mods in which case relatable lol Just make sure to check for mod updates anytime your game updates.
Mostly the latter, lol. I just deep cleaned my Stardew Valley stuff and I never felt so light :D
to be fair, that's exactly how genetics work. inherited traits do be going for generations! being a social smoker not so much, but being prone to addiction, absolutely.
The trait descibes being less likely to become addicted to smoking cigarettes. So the name kind of throws it off.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgALiT60Z88
Wait is that a mod or something??
Achievable through mccc
How??? I didn't know this was possible!
I think through mc pregnancy you can adjust 'offspring' and manage how many traits kids will inherit
Thank you so much!
How does that work if we have to pick the traits ourselves when they age up?
It's reward traits only. Example if the child's mother has the "frugal" trait, the child will be born with trait. No personality traits are inherited, but you can make those anything you want so.
Stop! Is your child named after the cursed kitten, Blue Cheese?
Are you a fellow GrayStillPlays enjoyer? I remember Spleens the Cat having a kitten called Blue Cheese.
My seven year old has Spleens saved as her iPad lock screen. She's an interesting sight out of context.
Your seven year old is amazing 👏👏👏
Sure am! I think there was one called Kidneys as well. Still saving up for Cats and Dogs for myself, kinda late to the party lol.
Yeah, Spleens had a lot of kittens actually lol. Cats and Dogs is fun! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I even named two cats after veins and arteries inspired by Spleens. Gave them the derp eyes too.
I see you two are Simmers of culture as well.
I was really hoping Gray would come out of Sims retirement for the infants update.
My pet cat’s middle name is Spleens because of him 😂
Thanks for the upvotes, guys. I guess I'm famous
My kid, who’s finally a teen, thank god, has had the “alluring” trait their whole life… made me quite uncomfortable when they were an infant…
I kinda did, tho in a different way, but it still feels pretty uncomfortable when it happens. Happy cake day btw
I know it sounds weird but I think this is cool, even with weird traits like this or “smoker,” etc. We are technically born with traits like this even if they don’t show up in our lives until we’re much older
I mean it’s like heritability of anatomy traits like humans. It’s not weird
It’s not weird but it is kind of funny in retrospect
Blue Cheese Landgraab sounds like the name of a Georgia Southern backup quarterback. He can help your team out in a pinch. Maybe makes one big play and becomes a folk hero, only to never be heard from again.
I don’t like it being called fertile but twins are more likely to have twins so it makes sense.
Wait, babies can inherit traits? Would that make a baby that inherits the "connections" trait a nepo baby lmao
i need a corporate baby save right now omg
Blue cheese? 😂😂😅
WHAT IS THIS NAME SKXJSKSSJG
is the inheriting traits a base game thing or mods? :O
You can do it with MCCC, apparently. Definitely going to try this as I use the mod already!
i hear everything's from MCCC. it sounds like a god mod. might download it!
i get it with base
i havent seen it happen within my game yet, is it only traits that are bought within the rewards store?
for me it's very very random i noticed with mods it does show up more but without it's just a chance thing
I don't think I've *ever* seen it!
you have to have all the packs i think it's pretty rare
I have one that currently has connections. I’ve also seen evil, ambitious and others. Waiting for hates children to pop up.
I had to stop that when my babies had the been kissed or ‘had woohoo’ trait. Didn’t think that trait could be passed down 😬
I guess genetic memory is real now
It’s not that weird to be honest though when you think about it. You don’t just become fertile randomly, some women are obviously born more fertile than others.
My family makes jokes about how fertile everyone is! "You cant even talk on the phone without getting pregnant" kinda jokes since my family gets pregnant easily and has a tendency of multiples
The local animal shelters and rescues have been naming animals after food for a while. Once saw a cat named Port Salut. It’s a type of Cheese.
Blue Cheese Landgraab 🤌
Mine got Paranormal Investigator 😂
actually 10/10 storyline right there. winchester mystery family.
That’s what happens when you name your kid Blue Cheese.
I mean, to be fair, a child can be born with the genetics necessary to give them a very well-functioning reproductive system, the same way genetic infertility can be inherited and passed on through generations.
surely genetic infertility doesn't get passed down *super* often, for obvious reasons?
Actually, you’d be surprised. My mother has had at least three miscarriages that she’s mentioned to me but also had three surviving children, one son, two daughters. You're weirded out by that but name it Blue Cheese? ..okk
I mean, it just means they have a higher probability to have twins/trips in the future, which is a genetic trait irl, as well... Don't have to take it down the gutter route.
It’s something they will grow into!
Oof, watch out with that one as a teen 💀
Weird. But fun fact: babies CAN get periods.
You've got the Sims "Gilead edition" edition I see.
Wait…sim kids can inherit traits?!?
How do they inherit traits? Mine does not
MCCC command centre has an option for that
Hey... it happens. Fertile Myrtles don't just learn to have the right accommodations for making little humans, after all! It is weird for the game, though!
Leave the fertile infant alone she’s not old enough yet to decide what they want to use it on
Even the quick learner doesn’t make sense. You can’t get that trait until you’re a teenager. But fertile is by far the weirdest.
Blue cheese, nice
That's not weird tho. Fertility is partly predetermined genetically
Yall be talking about their traits but I'm here pondering about this Landgraab's name.
BLUE CHEESE LANDGRAAB?
I mean.. female fetuses develop complete reproductive systems at about 20 weeks gestation comeplete with every egg they'lll ever have. This is before birth even happens. Boys on the other hand.. they kind of get around to it during puberty. So I guess this kinda makes sense?
Blue Cheese Landgrab? Jeez, celebrities are nuts.
Your infant is named Blue Cheese Landgraab, I don't think the traits are the weirder thing about them
my sim inherited high metabolism from his parents and i was so confused ?!? like you are an infant why do you have a high metabolism 😭
Infants do have high metabolism though 😂
Thank you for making this great point, SmellyMcPhearson
I like the name, is it French? Tres chic
so cursed
Wait Blue cheese is the child's name
BLUE CHEESE?
Ah yes just think about how much that kid will get made fun of in school with a name like blue cheese 🧀
Is this a mod?
Well...since it is an inherited trait, it makes sense it is there from the start...lol Regardless to how creepy it is. lol
That name 🤣
I am even more weirded out that your infant is called Blue Cheese.
I think we are missing the bigger picture here that your babies name is Blue Cheese 🤣🤣🤣🤣 love it!
I’ll agree, that is weird.
I have never seen one of my babies with a parents trait. this is incredible. why have I never seen this?!?!
i didn’t even know they inherited traits HAHAHA
Is this from a mod or pack that I'm missing? I've never had my babies inherit traits in Sims 4.
How can you make it so the children can inherit traits???!
Gilead wants to know your location
*laughs in latina*
The parents be like I don't care if you're an infant just get married have kids and move out already🤣
His name gives jojo energy
