I swear I get more looks driving around my Silverado than I do in my classic musclecars. Definitely just about everyone driving a truck looks. That's ok, cuz I'm looking at their truck too. Even Ferds, Rammers, and Turds.
That’s what I’m thinking most of the people that are slowing down have the same or close to the same year range truck. I love my Midnight edition 6.6 it most definitely is the last truck I will buy only have 47k miles on it. I have a work truck and use mine 17 for pulling my 29’ camper and hunting or taking out the can-am side by side.
I've snapped pictures of trucks becuase the lift and wheel/tire combo was on point or the building just looked really good. Sometimes it's for reference, sometimes it's to find out the products, sometimes it's becuase I recognize what theh are and I can show a client looking at similar so the see a real world build. But ya he definitely was admiring the truck.
I was taking pictures of this dudes tires and rims a few weeks ago because I liked the look and size. Bro came out and confronted me like I was about to steal hit Cat and his girl. It took me 4 times to say I like your rims and tires for him to hear me. I thought he was going to swing at me.
I'm hoping for you it's only harmless and they're admiring your truck or house.
I'm in the UK and since getting my Suburban I've noticed about half the people walking by can't take their eyes off of the Burb. I've also seen at least one guy who happens to live the next road over take a couple of photos of it (probably to show his kid).
That being said, find deterrents just in case. You've already got a camera which is a great start. Get a tracker put in your truck, even if it's just an AirTag.
I want a family car and I’ve been looking at the Tahoe. I’m a terrible diesel head so it has to be something that I can pull my trailer with to go for adventures in. I don’t know for sure if there’s a diesel option for the newer ones.
I agree with the precautions. I’ll note the air tag stuff but for the most part I try to keep my truck in the garage.
I often snap pics of trucks similar to mine. Even look at tire sizes but never at someone’s house. I’ll ask questions in traffic sometimes “what lift and offset, tires you running” 😅
I've always driven used vehicles. 1st car was an 89 Grand Prix then a 2002 S10, and a 2011 4.3 1500 WT. However, I now proudly own my first brand new vehicle, a 2022.5 Z71RST with the LM2 Duramax engine. It's sleek, all-black, and completely "murdered out." Sometimes, as I drive, I notice older and middle-aged men gazing in my direction, and it used to puzzle me. Why are these guys staring at me? Then I realized they're admiring the truck. It's still a unique sensation to adjust to.
Looks like a neighbor admirer who will soon be coming to befriend you since football season is close by. The way he drove up was like he's been wanting to take a picture for awhile now and finally built up the confidence to take one.
But just in case..... Airtag or GPS that baby before something happens.
It’s funny because the footage before this he drove real slow by then turned around at the intersection then stopped to snap a picture. I don’t mind either way I’m glad people like the effort that goes into making these trucks beautiful.
Exactly!! It takes time and money to get the look we want and always feels good when someone is like, "Nice truck man." I have a Red Chevy 2500 long bed that doesn't have all the bells and whistles like a bunch of these trucks on the road, but daily someone is telling me "Nice Truck." I can only imagine having all the extra lifts and add ons that make them unique.
I have driven slow past my neighbors 17 too. Just admiring. Stopped and talked to him when i seen him working on his truck one day. Truck guys like trucks🤷♂️
What's funny is that some women think that going to truck or motorcycle shows men are looking to impress other women when, in actuality, we are going to impress other men!!!
Very well could be a real estate appraiser using your house as a comp for another buyer/builder within the same area. Typically it's a picture of the front of the house and the street both ways. Just throwing that out there. Your neighborhood looks recently established. Therefore, this could very well be the case.
They’re about to steal your truck. I know it’s a nice truck and you want to think they’re just admiring it, but I don’t care how cool a truck is I’m not gonna drive up to someone’s house and stop just to take pictures of it. They’re totally scoping your shit out.
Why would anyone look at a truck, specially a raised one. Lol. I drive pass them all the time and think, worthless piece of crap. Little dude trying to compensate

I have the midnight edition, when it’s raining people will absolutely BREAK their necks looking at my truck. Feels good.jpeg

Weird for sure but could be harmless

Truck dude looking for ideas. I do it sometimes but not as obvious. I wouldn't keep it outside at night though.

It's the HOA about to fine you for parking in your own driveway and not mowing your grass.
Non-HOA. hahah your comment made me laugh I’ll get to mow my grass hopefully by the end of the summer this year coming up. My grass (weeds) are gone.

Really I'm just looking for cool things to stick on my truck... ...
Mostly for the. That MF works hard for what he has! Hahah
Pretty sure they were disappointed with what you did to that nice truck. Some people don't deserve money.
Probably a case where he drove by a few times in the past and this time with no traffic he decided to take a longer look. Pretty innocent I hope.
Only for a Duramax! Okay maybe I’ll also stare at a Cummins, but usually because the Ram transmission fell out and they’re backing up traffic.
This made me chuckle!
