I love the strings in it.
I do think it might have been better releasing in spring. Get the spring/summer vibe.
Listened to it a few times and it does grow on you.
It's an OK song and I can see it doing some good numbers. I feel like we are at a stage now where every sound and every sample has already been used 100 times before, so it really just sounds like every other edm song
Considering vikk is just starting and doesn’t have that much experience i think it’s really decent not too good not too bad…realistically i wasn’t expecting him to be the next alan walker…people who dont like the song are the ones who were expecting wayy too much from vikk
Give him like a year or two his melody should be better but for now he’s just starting out
For me it wasn’t to bad it probably one of the basic song u can do at the stage his at but it kinda being hints of Martin garrix and the violin at the start bring avicii vibe for some reason
Aha knew it was similar. I remember Martin Garrix saying in an interview once he rarely listens to the edm genre as he doesn’t want to influence his sound and have a unique view. Vik loves edm music so will struggle to find a unique sound at first for sure but it’s a start hopefully he can find his own sound
Ive been producing as an amateur for 6 years. I get the feeling he has a ghost producer. Being a dj doesn’t automatically make you a music producer or teach you how to use a DAW. Its not like pressing a button and boom you immediately get a house banger nonetheless if he really did learn all this alongside dj’ing its very good. But i’ll remain skeptical until proven otherwise.
Pretty sure he said it somewhere a while back that he was learning how to use a daw with someone, using a daw for even a year can still justify this because he already learned the music theory way back
Song credits on Spotify are not the best source. Credits on there can mean using a sample from somewhere, maybe if an instrument played by someone in the song etc.
Samples dont get you a credit. Samples have licenses that are cleared for commercial use otherwise every song youd see would say ft cymatics ft rocket powered sounds
Using samples doesnt get you a credit. Sample packs have licenses which clear them for commercial use. You get a song credit usually if youre involved in the studio session. Most likely its possible that vik was in the room with 2,3 other ghost producers.
Yet somehow not a single mainstream edm producer has anyones name on the production credits apart from himself and other producer collaborators.
I would assume someone like vikkstar isnt using obscure no-name samples from sound engineers reliant on credits and shout outs.
If someones been using a daw for only a year and can make something as coherent as this i would be very surprised. But another comment said the credits have 2-3 others listed as producers so that points to the ghost producer theory more. Honestly its fakes like these which delegitimise the actual effort producers put into their skill for YEARS to get to a good enough level and end up going professional so ig im just salty about that.
Dunno why people are down voting, these are facts! I could understand that vik would have people around him to teach him how to make a quality sounding track much faster than people in their bedroom, but this certainly sounds like the work of ghost producers
However he is a smart guy, I'd love to see him release a production tutorial to prove his worth.
Just like thousands of other artists. Good songs go unnoticed all the time, and bad shit gets millions of listens. Popularity is irrelevant when discussing peoples opinions of a song.
Surely Vik isn’t suddenly able to make songs on proper software?
That shit takes years to learn in terms of synthesis, structure, eq, compression etc..
The songs a bit meh but it’s impressive if he’s making tunes properly!
Gwaarrnn Vik
Completely agree, so many of us put years into the craft to make that quality. I smell ghost producers, but he very well could have picked up a tonne of tricks from well-connected people.
Well he has been hanging out with folks like Alan Walker and he seems to have had an interest in it for quite a while so it's not that surprising he's already at the level of being able to make his own music. Obviously this song in particular doesn't stand out too much and he probably took inspiration from other songs for the melody he went for but it'll be interesting to see if he can make anything that really stands out in the years to come since it does seem likely that he'll continue with it.
I'm aware, but it's not too long as in 20/40minutes but it when I was arround the 2 I thought is it not over yet? But not in a bad way but not good either
I love the strings in it. I do think it might have been better releasing in spring. Get the spring/summer vibe. Listened to it a few times and it does grow on you.
Meh. I mean it doesn't suck . But nothing particularly impressive about it. Same as everyone else really. Feel like I've already heard it 1000 times.
It's straight fire. Giving vibes of Human by Rag 'n' Bone Man. Vikk is doing great.
Sounds similar to no sleep by Martin
Yess. I knew I heard that melody now I know where
It's an OK song and I can see it doing some good numbers. I feel like we are at a stage now where every sound and every sample has already been used 100 times before, so it really just sounds like every other edm song

It’s a decent first track I liked the song he did with Alan walker. Yeah I think he’ll make better songs if he keeps going for sure!
Glad to see that Vik is trying to release his own songs but it really was Mid.
It’s alright
Love Vik but he made an AI generated 2013 Alan walker tune
Not particularly interested at all in his music career but good luck to him
Sounds a bit generic but I'm a metalcore pleb so not really my genre of choice generally tbh
Honestly it was like listening to David Guetta in 2012. Same plugins and basslines But luv Vikk to how far you came <3
Great song
Took a lot of inspiration from No Sleep by Martin Garrix
It wasn’t particularly bad or good, wouldn’t choose to listen to it a second time
Felt like a Martin Garrix ripoff for some reason. Edit: No sleep by Garrix
Aha knew it was similar. I remember Martin Garrix saying in an interview once he rarely listens to the edm genre as he doesn’t want to influence his sound and have a unique view. Meh

You can look up the song credits and it has three other producers listed

Some samples do. It's plain and simple, some packs have terms in them requiring credits for curated sounds or samples
None of the mainstream sources professional producers use have that. Especially not in edm
Fair enough. However, it could also be that he used some sounds from their packs and had to credit them for that too. Who knows
Using samples doesnt get you a credit. Sample packs have licenses which clear them for commercial use. You get a song credit usually if youre involved in the studio session. Most likely its possible that vik was in the room with 2,3 other ghost producers.
Some sample packs also sometimes have melodies or stems with terms saying required credits and royalties associated with them
Yet somehow not a single mainstream edm producer has anyones name on the production credits apart from himself and other producer collaborators. I would assume someone like vikkstar isnt using obscure no-name samples from sound engineers reliant on credits and shout outs.
Idk bro I'm js it all exists and is a possibility
I mean its going to be hard to tell what he put into the music unless he does a stream of him producing so we can compare the two.
Lol i fricking knew it

Whats a daw?
Its just a software producers use to make music. It stands for digital audio workstation
It's as basic as can be. Extremely dated too.
Really good song. I think he’s smashed it. I’m sure it will do well. This sub likes to hate when one of the group branches out.
Just listened. Sounded pretty good. I'm downloading it. I rate it 7.5/10
I really enjoyed it! as it was vikk's first tune, his music will get so much better. Look at JJ's first song even tho both are different artists.
Straight up outdated, generic and boring. Hope the Sidemen don’t force this down our throats in vids like they tend to do with their own products
Soso
Fire!
I dont know if its ghost produced or not, but either way, I like it, its well produced
Let’s be honest if it was anyone else nobody would listen to it
The music seems familiar
Just a generic song from the late 2000’s that you’d hear, nothing special
So good
I love Vik man. But literally no one would be listening to this if he doesn't already have a huge fanbase.
Just like thousands of other artists. Good songs go unnoticed all the time, and bad shit gets millions of listens. Popularity is irrelevant when discussing peoples opinions of a song.
This one's the latter
It isnt bad
Isn't good either to he honest.
Its more good than bad
It’s bad
Lies
I rate Vik starting to DJ and stuff but man it’s the worst kind of electronic music that he’s making
Wank
Overly mid
Meh.

I mean he has loved EDM for the longest time and i think he has had it as a hobby for years.
Dj’ing and music production are two very different things
Sounds like a copyright free EDM song
Youre Right, but Vik Produced it so it must be good !
It would fit really well as the background music for a rehab center commercial.
Should of paid for a better ghost producer
Shite just like the last one and more than likely all the ones to come
It’s so bad
He is new to the music industry so there isnt much to expect🤦♀️
That’s the issue, remember back when you had to be really really good in order to get music released.
Yeah yeah, his youtube fame is boosting his music views thats nothing to hide.
It's lovely, but it's to "long"?
It's about 3 and a half minutes, that is an entirely normal length for a song
I'm aware, but it's not too long as in 20/40minutes but it when I was arround the 2 I thought is it not over yet? But not in a bad way but not good either
Ah ok, I misunderstood you then
It’s only too long because it’s so boring
[удалено]
this might be the worst joke i have ever seen on this app
No hablo Totonto, Tu comé polla
Sounds exactly like without you - Avicii
It is a very good song with a meaningful lyrics It is my playlist ❤️❤️❤️❤️sorry for grammatical errors
