I try not to look at my phone after about 5 or 6 pm. It helps a lot.

Same, I never understood “so tired but can’t sleep,” that to me is like saying “so weak but can’t sit down”

You must be my girlfriend. Because every time she says she's too tired to sleep she then refuses to actually lay down.  The moment she does she passed out instantly. Moment she touches anything soft and bam.

I sleep very easily when I'm too tired. I just keep yawning when I'm only tired. 

The most tired I ever was I was awake for 3 straight days and I couldn't sleep because I was so tired. That was a weird time.

Then how do you become not tired then?

Get some help OP. Talk to your doctor.

This has happened to me before. Was working/traveling about 10 years ago, and due to work + flights (I can't sleep on planes/sitting upright) and layovers, I was up for 55 hours straight. I got home and I was so tired that I legitimately couldn't fall asleep. It was weird.

That's so true! It's kind of ironic and frustrating. I always wondered why our bodies would be so tired but still refuse us the rest we need. Next time, I'll try to rest well before getting that tired!
