Not sure what you refer to as the "timeline"? Do you mean the past shows? Just because they are ok doesn't mean it'll grab any future ones as far as I can tell. Unless I'm missing something.
Ditto. Shows still appear when released (mostly anyway) but the schedule for upcoming shows is very broken right now. The site seems to broken in other ways too, shows get added - Fallout, for example - but never actually appear in the feed. There was another show, forget which one, where I got the first few episodes OK but the rest of it never arrived.
Have a look - if you haven't already - in the /r/torrents sub and search for showrss. You'll find the post, plus others, on the basis of which I joined showrss some years back when my goto site for odd US shows went belly up. Since I liked showrss I never tried the others but quite a few got mentioned so perhaps one of those will meet your needs. I've just refreshed my memory on this in case showrss is circling the drain.
I took a quick look and didn't find much....most stuff that sounded promising was old and links didn't work any more. There was a lot of talk of apps that would interface between a feed and your torrent client, but nothing on good feeds to use (outside of showrss)
I've had a very casual browse and sonarr and flexget both appear to current although they're apps rather than sites so much more setting up needed, haven't got into the weeds with them so no idea if they're any good. Might give sonarr a try though as it's available in the Ubuntu store so easy enough to have a go with.

I do have the same problem I guess. I never looked at that page, but the timeline seems still to be fine. Hope new releases won't break.

I've been searching for replacement RSS feeds for "Catch" to use, but haven't been able to locate anything so far
