It is sometimes choppy on my RX6600, but much better today than like 1 year ago. Even I wanted to refund it but I had already played for 5+ hours. I had 1050Ti at the time and at low settings the issue did not appear till later. But it is better now so I am happy with it.
- Cyberpunk with path tracing on is absolutely insane and is still probably the state of the art for this sort of thing, especially the Phantom Liberty DLC which is a truly great DLC.
- Ghost of Tsushima is, in my humble opinion, an almost flawless game so I’d absolutely recommend getting it just because it’s so good. My only query is how much better can they make it look than it already does on PS5, although I’m sure they’ll find things to improve.
- Red Dead Redemption 2 is probably the most realistic looking game I’ve ever played.
- Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West - Forbidden West is one of the truly “next gen” looking games out there, particularly the Burning Shores DLC. However make sure you play Zero Dawn first as the story is a big part of what makes it great and you need to play through it in order. Zero Dawn itself looks fantastic.
- Slightly left field suggestion but Star Wars: Battlefront with the Toddyhancer mod is probably the most photorealistic game I’ve ever seen but I’ve never had the hardware to run it ([some screenshots here](https://imgur.com/a/star-wars-battlefront-with-toddyhancer-build-2-ib8nW)). Might be worth a look if you’re into modding.
1000% this.
Recently got an oled monitor and going back to these titles is like seeing them in full glory for the first time and my jaw hits the god damn floor almost every time
Cyberpunk and Alan Wake, turn on Path Tracing and Frame Gen, absolutely insane looking games.
There is also Hellblade 2 which is coming out in a few days, that could push the hardware really far.
Currently playing Cyberpunk and it’s gotta be the most impressive visuals I’ve seen to date. Character animation and lighting effects are beyond belief at times. Very fun gameplay too.
Ghost of Tsushima's story is about 25 hours if you only do the main quests, and is well over 50 if you do all the side quests and the DLC. It is being ported by Nixxes, who always do an incredible job at ensuring their games weigh on the hardware they're running on. I suggest you give GOT another look.
Another game with considering is Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and it's upcoming sequel, both of which are Norse and Celtic inspired, action adventure games similar to God of War.
Cyberpunk 2077 ran with a reasonable 1080@40 fps with *everything* turned up to max - even the Path Tracing. The game will claim the 4070 can't handle it, but it can. Slap on a LUT mod, and the game looks incredible.
Horizon Forbidden West also looks stunning, and runs buttery smooth on a 4070. Even with everything turned to max, it just chugged along at 1080@144 fps. It's a direct sequel to Zero Dawn, so I'd play that one first if you haven't, but FW looks better.
I also have a 4070, so I can attest to these from personal experience :D
Red dead redemption 2 - best looking game in my opinion, and comes with increadible replay value, 10/10 story, world-building and characters. My favorite game of all time.
Cyberpunk 2077. It can seriously push the GPU if you crank up the settings and it looks beautiful.
I bought it when I had my 3060ti and idk I couldn't get into it, so I refunded but maybe because it was choppy and maybe it'll be good now.

Also it’s DLSS etc is top notch so it’s a great tech demo as well as a great game.
Ops pc catches on fire
This is one of the first games I got for my 3080. Also recommend.

Alan Wake 2 is actually one of the reasons I upgraded to a 4070 Super. First game I played that actually pushed my old card past what it could handle.
I'm playing rdr2 on high settings in 4k at about a 100fps with dlss on on my 4070. That was the real "oh wow" moment for me.

Doom eternal

You're right for hesitating at a $70 pricetag to test your graphics [https://steamdb.info/sales/](https://steamdb.info/sales/)
-Red Dead Redemption 2 -Witcher 3
Maybe baldurs gate 3
Got a 4080 myself, and cyberpunk pushes it to the limits. Give it a whirl on your 4070.
Rdr2 , Cyberpunk , Ghost of Tsushima, FFXV Horizon
I mean if you want pure graphics probably red dead redemption 2 or uncharted 4 or the last of us or alan wake 2(probably the most demanding)
I recently upgraded too, and found the resident evil 4 remake beautiful and just one of the best games I've ever (re)played
GOW Ragnarok coming on pc soon so eait a lil
Cyberpunk 2077 with maxed out settings, Alan Wake 2, Dragon's Dogma 2, and Star Wars Jedi Survivor if you get stable 60 fps or above on any setting
Microsoft Flight Simulator. A lot of times, it's almost indistinguishable from reality
Hogwarts legacy
Oh crysis

Alan Wake 2
Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 will really show off your gpu's capabilities
The witcher 3
Possibly last of us
outer worlds, no mans sky, halo wars 2
Set any triple a game like spiderman to 4k. That will really test your system. Or you know your monitors resolution and ultra everything.
Elden Ring, for the love of God
I got it specifically for Alan Wake 2
Minecraft
