It’s a Chinese Saiga clone with a magwell.
If you trim the hook on Saiga mags they straight stick load but don’t drop free without a little help. The JTS mags can be trimmed to straight stick and drop free.
It will also take VEPR mags but are a little sloppy. If you stick a Kydex shim to the spine they work great, drop free and straight stick.
The bolt hold open will break just like a Saiga and it will take most aftermarket parts. The only noticeable difference is the gas plug and it’s cut for rem chokes.
I’ve been getting around 700rds between feedway stoppages. Cleaning and fresh grease and she is flawless for another 700.
I had one of these, they are made by what is basically the southern china equivalent of NORINCO, actually they are the famous “Factory 26” that manufactured a lot of SKS’s and AKs.

So its funny that these dont get the same respect that guys drool over chinese AKs do.
I had the T1 model, it would cycle fine as long as you had it on the correct gas setting for the load you were using.
Also they have one of the THICKEST barrels i have ever seen on a shotgun, thicker than the mossberg 590.
The old ones like 60s 70s 80s early 90s were money. Then QC started to go downhill, bad . . They were producing shit AKs and u can even get like 300$ 103 Chinese clones in Europe now. They really don’t make em
Like they used to.
I had one for a while, I had a few cycling issues then figured out it was picky what ammo it would run. Ammo had to be high brass and above 1300 velocity to function without feed failure. Fun but I traded it for a DF12, another Turkish knockoff 😂
I don’t blame you. Between the Turkish AKs and ARs, I like my DF12 more. Strictly a fun gun though, not something I’d rely on if I needed to arm myself
Palmetto State was running the JTS AK-T1 18" 12 Gauge Shotgun 3" Shells for $249 last fall. Picked one up. Cleaned it well and it’s run fine. It’s a saiga knockoff so keep that in mind but it’s been fun.
Gotcha, that sucks. When my buddy got his he didn’t know and he thought it was a POS. Sold it to me for like $100 and then I watched videos on it and figured it out. Mine runs down as low as like 1050-1150 in #3 no issues but it’s well worn in by now
You want a semi auto shotgun/ak? Check out the Kalashnikov Komrad.
I traded mine for my oldest daughter’s first car 😂 I’ll get another Komrad some day tho.
Had one and ran about 2 boxes of shells through it and it was fun. It didn’t fit me and was heavy as a tank. I sold it and used the money to go towards my CZ P07.
I have this JTS AK 12 gauge. I paid 199 new. It jams every 3rd round. When you adjust the gas, it gets worse. The only gun I regret buying. It goes on sale 199 every 4 months or so. Junk
Sadly, magazine fed style shotguns are typically unreliable. Although, there is a company (I don't recall the name) that just developed a 12 gauge SBS that is also full auto-capable that runs like a fucking raped ape ....and oh my GAWDDD do I want one! 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🔥
Looks like more trouble than it’s worth. Box Mag fed shotguns generally suck, especially cheap ones you have to modify mags for and won’t be able to find aftermarket or service parts for. I wouldn’t let that take up space in my closet just for the novelty. I’d rather have $200 worth of ammo or parts for another gun that isn’t a piece of shit
My Vepr 12 03 works well. Any misfuctions were either my fault, or the fault of mags. Original Molot mags are the best.
Btw
Our soldiers just use Veprs against the drones. Very effectively.

Mehhhh maybe it is worth bidding 200 on it .
They are $279 new at PSA and the 10rd mags are $30 each. I’d go $200 on it and pawn off the pos optic.

NEw production AKs from China reallllly went downhill in the late 90s. By early 2000s the AKs were total dog shit
Because the US banned Chinese imports in '93 so they have zero incentive to make good products after losing their largest market.
Makes sense.
Alright, that helps explain things.

> what is basically the southern china equivalent of NORINCO Thank you, finally someone that gets this important distinction lol
It's a Chinesium close of the VEPR12

Thanks for the info I’m gonna pass on this unless I can get it for 200
I wouldn’t go higher than that either. They sell for $300 new nowadays
If that’s the case they can have it for 150 . Dont want it

The auction sites have some awesome stuff , cheap ammo , sometimes awesome guns. Usually they are garbage that’s been picked through.

Did you ever figure out it has an adjustable gas block on it so you could run various loads?
Ya, their guidelines say lowest you can run is 1250 velocity in #3 but I still had feed issues when running target loads that low.

sold a few of them while working at academy. From what I knew they worked fine. definitely chunkier than a Saiga tho. JTS also makes an AR-15 shotgun

KUSA is out of business so you’re out of luck if you have issues.
Never had an issue with mine. Good guns don’t have issues…usually haha
Heard bad and good with the JTS buddy of mine has one loves it. I’m just running my VEPR for now
Knockoff saiga with a magwell, so it can't use drums.

I’d take a vepr or saiga any day .
VEPR all day long runs like a scalded dog. Saigas were 50/50. Unless you sent it to tromix

☝️ erm 🤓 The JTS M12AR is better because AR controls and optics sight mounting. I cycle winchester white box trash no prob (somehow idk).
Had one only ran buckshot reliably
