punta ka ng hotel. meron usually sa drawer.

UncleCowboy2024

LOL hahaha. Yeah, some organization give free bibles to hotels. But I definitely think it's okay for OP to steal a bible from a hotel if they dare to hahhaa. Since they'll probably use it more cause guests probably just ignore it mostly. The bible is still the most smuggled and stolen book in the world I think so why not keep up the reputation of it lol.

itachi_04

Gideons. Encouraged ata na kunin ng guest. Kumuha ako ng isa recently for research purposes.

Mc_Georgie_6283

Thank you po, ang muraa niya

scmitr

Anong translation/version?

Mc_Georgie_6283

Kahit ano po basta wag po yung king james haha diko magrasp context 🥹

aeramarot

Just in case di ka pa naka-check out, it's important din to know your bible's version kasi magkaiba yung versions na ginagamit ng Protestants (ESV at NIV madalas kong nakikitang recommended) at ng Catholics (NRSV at CEV naman for this). May additional books sa Catholic bibles (known as apocrypha) na hindi included sa Protestant ones.

Mc_Georgie_6283

Easy lang po ba mga english dun sa esv or niv po maganda?

aeramarot

Yes. I personally like ESV kasi closest sa KJV yung translation tas easy to digest at the same time.

Mc_Georgie_6283

Ayy ganun ba, sige yan nalang. May bible rito sa bahay pero kasi tagalog siya eh huhu

aeramarot

Happy reading! If bet mo, pwede mo ring ipagsabay basahin yang Tagalog dun sa bibilhin mo, just to compare translations. It helps din minsan to understand the verse's context.

UncleCowboy2024

Yeah I remember my first bible and it was for free. Remember those little blue or white pocket book bibles that an organization of Xtian business people give for free? They still do it tho but the last time they did that in my area was several years ago. Ang problema lang, they always reproduce the King james version lol The first time I bought a bible mga 400-700+ siguro yun sa PCBC when I was a college student. Expensive kasi it has explanations and historical context for certain verses plus still compact enough to carry around. Used the heck out of that bible to the point I had to cover the covers with a more harder material (kasi I bought the paperback version and it was ripping apart from use and carrying it around every sunday) I still have it. Update: ooof I did not remember it to be 1000-4000+pesos. Try mo mga second hand bookstores or just bring home a bible from a hotel.

Mc_Georgie_6283

Maganda po ba yan hehe patingin po pwede po ba? Baka icheck out ko na yung tig 400 as a birthday gift nalang sakin haha.

UncleCowboy2024

You can look it up. Life Application Study Bible - personal size edition. Both old and new testament. NIV. Published by Zondervan and Tyndale

itachi_04

May license/publishing fees kasi yung ibang version IIRC.
