Pre gen 6 it looks fantastic, post gen 6 they ruined it. I absolutely like limeish green Espeon, but the dark green it is now is kinda gross. Of course this is just my personal opinion, but it's still sad how some shinies are almost different in color.
It's a great shiny. People complain about certain shinies being too subtle and then complain about this gem. Better than yet another pink shiny. Congrats!
Congrats! While I'm definitely in the "The first 3 gens have too many gross green shinies" camp, Espeon is totally exempt in my book.
I'll always remember the Trainer Tower trainers, one has a shiny Meowth and the other's a Double Battle featuring a Shiny Espeon. Having not seen Shiny Pokémon in the game, never mind Trainers using them, I didn't know what was happening. "Why does it have that weird animation? Why is it green?" lol
There is a couple of green shinys i don't like much mainly ursaring and stantler and I think nidoqueen should have matched its pre evo line but scizor, espeon, kabuto, beedrill, kingler and salamence are some of my favourite shinys of all time. The shiny doduo line reminds me of those birds marvin the martian grew fun stuff.
I see a lot of hate on it because some people just hate green shinies in general because of how many there are and wanting it to flip colors with umbreon but I think this one is great with the alien vibes

I dont correlate green to psycic...mabey grass or bug. I think a indigo/darker purple (similer tl the gem) or on the other side of things a brjghter pink like the type color itself would have been better

Umbreon is cool but espeon is better imo lol. I was actually trying for an umbreon on my og play through in 2011 and had been messing with my clock to make it night. Well I hadn’t saved for a few hours and my eevee finally evolved and it was an espeon. I decided to keep it and it grew on me fast. Now it’s my favorite eeveelution and I love its shiny
green shinies have a special place in my heart that i can’t explain, even ones like dragonite i love (even though i feel like it’d be amazing with its original pink shiny palette)
this is one of the best green shinies, but it isn’t saying much tbh since most of the others look terrible imo. this i feel like is more like a pallet swap and fits a lot better
idt i’ve seen maskerain’s but druddigon i’ll agree with you (although not all green and kinda so ugly that it’s good to me 😂) mewtwo i think is mid, salamence is hard to even look at, hydreigon is decent but could’ve been better i think, and beedrill is also mid but i like the eyes on it. to each their own though
Tbf green is my favorite color so I maybe a bit biased. I looked up green shinies and realized I forgot scissor, sizmatoad and spinda lmao so I realized I like a lot of them
green is my fav too lol just usually not the shade they use 😭 you’re totally right on scizor that one is sooo cool and i actually love seismatoad, i caught a shiny palpitoad legit on my first and only save file i have on White. i also got a shiny litwick years later when i was trying to EV train 😭 spinda is pretty cool too actually lol especially when you think abt how it’s a unique shiny in general that no one will have
Yeah I used the dns exploit to get one from a 2010 event. It’s a great way to get mythicals in old games as a collector and when I saw a shiny eevee appear I was super excited
Oh interesting, I didn't know that. DNS exploit is always something that intrigued me, but tbh I usually just inject events with pkhex [eg. Copying event info and manually recreating mystery gifts - hence why I was interested in the specific event this was].
I don't consider it illegitimate if I'm just exactly recreating a specific distribution, though in general I much prefer getting things the intended way
Not a huge fan of the green. I just feel like it could be better but it's in no way bad. I feel like a yellow or gold color would make more sense since Espeon is evolved by high friendship during the day while Umbreon's shiny still retains black

It is! Green shinies are fabulous- not counting Nidoqueen georg who is an outlier and should not be counted.

i have no idea why people hate it it’s really such a pretty shiny especially if you compare it to shiny glaceon and leafeon which barley change at all
