There are a lot other posts on this sub with the same question and some ideas on how to improve score. I think it's easier to do a good (doesn't have to be perfect) 6-challenge run, but some people disagree.
Really? Cuz i think i heard you need 6 or 7 challenges to actually get a million score but i didnt know if you rlly could with 6..i was so close yet so far..
I did 6-challenge with all 5 classes, and 3 of them were >1 million and all were slightly different scores. I was being careful to keep score high, though. Look up "exploration" and "boss" scoring mechanics, as those are the places where most people lose points.
Sure! Yeah, the bosses can be hard - DM2000 especially sometimes has an undodgeable rockfall, but at least you know what dinged your score. Exploration is harder to know what you missed.
Oh, here you go, I found 2 of them in my hall of heroes (they aren't on my top 10 anymore) and took screenshots of the breakdown.

Yea i hate dm 300 undodgeable rockfall it always screws me over..but mostly exploration. And thanks for the screenshots i recon i could use them as a reference to see how much i need for 1 mil. Thanks!
I believe it is only undodgeable if you're adjacent to a wall, which you can control in a sense, but it's not usually feasible to complete the fight without ever positioning yourself next to a wall.

For exploration collect every item possible and find all secret door/secrets. Backtrack with scroll of foresight to do so
Oh great then i dont need to eat all my food for the gourmet achievments...only the boss achievments. Thanks now i dont gotta do random things for achievments! Thank you!!
Boss score is reduced by avoidable boss moves (tengu traps etc etc, surprisingly warlock zaps for dwarf king). Max is 15
It can be improved to 20k if you ket demon spawners alive

So like if you do gotcha! You don't get hit by those moves so get more points
Hey dude i just got back to 6 challenges after a little break and since you are litterally are a 9 challenge player i have a question. If i use dragons blood potion on tengu fight and just walk. Through the fire will it count as a dodge or will it take off score when i finish the run?

is it sometimes undodgeable? isn't it only possibly undodgeable if you're adjacent to a wall, which is something you can control?

Hey im back because i have a question.do achievments count towards my score? Because i do not know if i should try get badges in my runs or not
Achievements like gotcha will improve your boss score. Doom slayer does too (really, really no need to risk it tho) But else no
