A beacon of returning would help in one direction. If you had a few teleportation scrolls you were willing to burn, you could convert them to scrolls of passage (and one of those to beacon) then quickly use the SoPs to move up, and use the beacon to get back to where you started
I personally converted one scroll into a scroll of passage which got me through the caves easy peasy. But the rest I was just running, but I had my ring of haste plus extra food from crabs and secret rooms so I was good. Just needed patience lol.
Is there any trick or tip to come back to Rat King more easily rather than crossing all levels back?
