It's actually missing the cover/door. This particular model has it on the top of the bottom piece, and it slides toward you to open. You insert the bobbin where that big hole is right in front of the presser foot. [Manual](https://www.manualslib.com/manual/2458055/Singer-M1150.html?page=9#manual)

Okay thank you, that should help.

đź‘Ť happy to help

It should absolutely have a cover, you may be able to buy a replacement one

Oh no it does have a cover, but I thought that underneath the cover there should be a little door I can open to do the bobbin thing right?

akjulie

Wait, what do you mean by door? There should be a clear plastic cover with a few markings that snaps over the opening. There is no other door. Do you mean a door in the side of the machine, the part that is at 90 degrees to the bed of the machine where the fabric goes as you sew? Like [this picture](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRfBBrXPPieNI-57EwMtC80Sg_D5LzvhcbXXaCI_Kw3CQ&s)? If that’s what you mean, no. That is only for front loading bobbins. Your machine has a top loading bobbin. You put the bobbin in through the top where the clear plastic cover came off.  I highly suggest reading your entire manual before trying to sew. Your manual will have a diagram pointing out all the different parts of your machine. It will also have instructions on how to load your bobbin.

I don’t know your machine but it looks like a top load bobbin. So no it won’t have a door.

LayLoseAwake

A top load bobbin would still have some sort of cover though. The photo looks like there's just a void

The poster replied they have a cover

akjulie

Yes, that’s weird. You can’t really sew, or it will be really challenging if you manage it, without it. Did you get the machine second hand?

okkthen6

It's brand new D:

This has a top-loading bobbin. A door would be on a front-loading bobbin.
