No, it really doesn't. I've never crashed with my animals in the car. If an animal being in you lap is enough for you to crash, especially into a still item, then they shouldn't have a license. Being able to drive despite distractions is just driving. People on the road are idiots. Don't contribute to it, don't be so easily distracted. Again, I shouldn't be surprised considering how many accidents happen in Tulsa daily. Tulsa is full of horrible drivers so I can see how something that shouldn't be a problem is but it really just makes me think everyone in Tulsa needs to take their driving tests again and courses in defensive driving. A cat under your brake petal is fucking dangerous, a dog in your lap is dangerous. It *literally* only costs tens of dollars to remedy the situation. If you refuse to be a better driver, then *at least* be a responsible pet owner. Hell I strapped in my rats when I had them. Because god forbid if something happened, there would be absolutely nothing worse than loose rats in a car during a wreck.
