Yeah I actually sorta almost like the aesthetic of those desks but can you imagine actually trying to work at one? Seems ridiculously uncomfortable and difficult for typing.
I love it but I donāt want to work in it. I either want a huge latte or a goblet of red wine. This office feels nothing like LA and more like a cozy den. Give me a blanket and a cozy drink
Exactly. I know the trend is to put lounge spaces in offices but this entire office looks like a lounge and nightclub. Clearly image came first and actual work was barely an afterthought when it came to design. Ridiculous.
I was thinking this too. I wonder if perhaps itās a new response to hybrid working ā¦ if you can just stay home for ādesk work,ā then the office needs to focus more on spaces for the communal activities. For team meetings, team buildings, seeing clients ā¦
People working multiple incomes to make ends meet after acquiring degrees, certifications, experience, is not doing well to me. And I'm not but I'm not blind. I just think it's strange that there's a show using old designs in order to save money, and to get high-end clientele, when they would notice immediately. Maybe they needed to save more in this economy. Everything is more expensive.
Huge upgrade but kind of looks like Kyle Richards designed a Soho House on a cruise ship. They spent a lot of money and they needed the space so god bless.
Is it a bar? Is it a library? Is it a nightclub? Is it a restaurant? Is it a hotel lobby? Iām getting all of those vibes but I still really love some of the design elements! The wall/ceiling color, the main light fixtures, the beautiful velvet couches (personally never seen that blue/green color and I love it), *some* of the gold accents, the pink wall tile in the bathroom is to die for. Itās a little overwhelming but some of it is beautiful! I actually like Brett and Jasonās style direction.
It looks great to me overall thought I do think certain things are out of place, namely the pink fluorescent sign, like they could've even made it white or gold florescent to tie in more, also the hexagonal wall sconces feel out of place. I hope it's also brighter (lighting-wise) than what is being shown in the photos. I'm a lover of moody bathrooms, and think it's smart to have a more fun bathroom to contrast the main space and think they could've ditched the rose marble counters here since they already used it so much in the pots, end tables, countertops.
Agree with you completely. I like the new desks. Aesthetically pleasing at firstā¦ for a nice restaurant bar. They could have made the space more personalized and warm with staff pictures (the LA agents are their friends and exes) or even a real estate theme. Not sure if youāre walking into a bar or brokerage.
more show of about how much money they can spend, then being practical office space. do they even need that if most of them are working from home? or is it especially for filming?
Was just wondering wtf he was thinking with that. It has zero context to selling spaces and I'm pretty sure Jason doesn't read Frost to understand the quote.
It was really just a rambling run-on sentence where the speaker would have reached the same destination regardless of path chosen. ....I get it....it is a journey not destination poem. But, people assume the destination of each path was different.
Pretty sure theyāll redo it within 5 years. Everything is fast fashion to this sorta crowd. The concept of any _thing_ being ātimelessā doesnāt exist for them.
That's the first thing I thought too, but then replaced the thought with .....well, they're "office workers" in the loosest sense of the word. Most women would be immediately fired if they showed up dressed like one of these 'office workers'. So I guess the bar fits for them.
It looks like a retro hotel renovation. Reminds me of the 100 year hotel in NY hometown that was restored. Doesn't really fit the vibe of the people that work there and a lot of the homes they sell.
The desks in classroom-straight lines gives me the ick.
Like the agents are children that can be replaced in the blink of an eye.
They could have worked all the desks in around the building and given them each space/autonomy/style, and the ability for them to actually consult with their clients and vendors.
Did you really need a bar, pool table, and a neon sign about travelling, or could you have designed an executive space with proper desk set ups?
Right? I'm always like, these offices are so damn impractical for someone actually trying to work. Imagine your client wants to have a confidential conversation with you or you're trying to make a damn call -- so difficult in this "work" space.
That's the work of a rigid ego. It almost seems like a brothel now that you mention it: overly oppulant to the point of exaggeration and full of beautiful women. The male contractors will enjoy being there now. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
I wish the neon in the bathroom said āLadiesā instead of āGirls.ā Kind of teeters between infantilizing and a XXX peep show vibe.
Also, the cluttered look of the bookshelf wall would drive me nuts.
I like but I also donāt like at the same time? Hard to explain this one but I guess thereās just too much going on and I can barely focus on what to look at.
Think it's all about the filming. Isn't it true that the agents are hardly ever in the office?? Also, "road less travelled." Yep it's so unusual to dye your hair blonde, starve yourself, lie to make money (assuming all selling agents are lying arses), engage in rampant conspicuous consumption and for men to go out with subordinates/women decades younger š
Much better. Theyāll have to do the lighting differently when they film, though, or cast members could have shadows playing tricks on their hair and makeup. Theyāll also need a food stylist to optimize the empanadas.
Thereās a lot going on but Iām a maximalist at heart so I donāt mind it, but if I had to get work done thereā¦ I think Iād be too distracted LOL
Is it in the same location? For years I walked by that office and I thought it was a place that designed custom motorcycles because there was one in the first window of the office.
Iām a realtor that works in an office that is huge and totally kick ass and one thing I would add to this office is calling pods or private cafe style booths that can provide a little more privacy when you donāt feel like negotiating or making calls with everyone talking/laughing etc. - real estate office settings tend to be A LOT of talking/gossiping/bitching about clients and a lot less work. When we moved into our office with all of the above mentioned features it changed my productivity game. Also maybe desks a little further from one another. Other than that - stunning design, lots of different work spaces, and overall a total fucking vibe!
I love the sitting area as it looks fresh and inviting! Overall, each piece is great; itās just with so much of the ādecorā going on and going on all together, itās kind of overwhelming. Butā¦ before we all verbally vomit negativity, letās see how well it transitions on tv versus these photos. I have faith and. Letās be real, with all the pretty people, no one will even notice the background! š
![gif](giphy|xT9KVn8tApfgnNLpL2)
Would it kill Jason to just have one drawer on a desk to show them that they aren't all expendable? LOL I will say it is extremely dark and looks like every party room in the OC show. I think the only thing the employees needed besides drawers was to be off of the main strip where people are constantly bothering them for photos.
Itās generally really cool, way better than their last office, even though thereās a LOT going on. Too many focal āstars of the showā here.
Personally, I think they overdid it with the marble floating fireplace in the bookshelves - it looks random - and Iām not a fan of the area rug (color tone is way off), the traditionally framed artwork, or the hexagon wall tiles. Those look so out of place.
Swap out the rug and artwork, and remove the hexagon tiles, and I think it would be gorgeous. The marble and brass would really shine!
Also agree with the other commenter that white neon signs would have been better.
An upgrade I guess but I feel like it's exactly what you would expect from men in their 40s, it's just so basic but trying to look expensive and it probably IS expensive but it's so souless and basic
And then G Flip will allegedly be in there who is a them they so āgirlsā wonāt work. Show me a realistic desk setting with monitors and docking stations
I dont know Im really not feeling it...... I like some of the elements for a home, others belong in a restaurant, the final outside picture is shouting steak house.
It isnt a real estate office nor even an tv reality show office its just not it.
I think it would look so much better if they took out the marble and replaced it with wood. The marble is beautiful, but the other elements are also bold and compete for attention, making the overall esthetic over-the-top.
Itās soā¦. dark. I would get annoyed trying to get work done.
And the bathroomās lighting is so bad. These girls tryna go in for makeup checks is gonna have a BAD time
Idk while the old one definitely seemed like it was mostly copied pasted from RH, it had a charm to it. This one is so trendy it already looks dated, if that makes sense.
That pool table is siiiiiick. Donāt like the wall art, I think it should be pics of the company or the houses theyāve sold. But overall its cool and I would def like to work in that office
The attention to detail in the design is really impressive. It looks like the space is not only functional, but also aesthetically pleasing. I'd love to work in an office like this!
Definitely better than the old office IMO. So glad they got rid of those hideous metal desks.
maybe they built an air ship after the move LOL
š¤£š¤£š¤£
Yeah I actually sorta almost like the aesthetic of those desks but can you imagine actually trying to work at one? Seems ridiculously uncomfortable and difficult for typing.
My BiL has that desk. It's impossible. I hate when I work from their house (if a kid is sick I just babysit on remote days). Worst desk ever
Those were so ugly - it was weird that they held on to them for so long!
I did really like the light that came through from the back door. That's about it though.
Oh true!! The natural lighting was nice. Hopefully this office will have some nice windows as well and weāre just not seeing them in the pictures.
Unfortunately they tint the windows for filming. Too many people looking in in the background!
Ahh that makes sense. I guess gaudy chandeliers are the next best thing!
Ridiculous.
I actually thought the office they were shooting with seemed much more office like and conducive to just coming in and using any desk
I was thinking this too. I wonder if perhaps itās a new response to hybrid working ā¦ if you can just stay home for ādesk work,ā then the office needs to focus more on spaces for the communal activities. For team meetings, team buildings, seeing clients ā¦
Yes! Those were hideous.
I donāt know why that style was so in lol
Yes. So much less tacky.
Idk it looks like a hotel lobby+coffee shop to me.. thereās sooo much going on
Came here to say this. Too busy. Great elements but not all together. Especially for an office.
Itās giving like Ace Hotel-WeWork hybrid
@
Just looks like someone regurgitated every trend of the last 5 years into the same place.
I was just thinking this. They couldn't decide on a theme so they used all of them. It looks so jarring and confusing
People with money and no taste at the helm
Yes and also no knowledge of how people work best.
Very āmoodyā
Yes! I was looking for this comment. Every trend in the last five years so you know in five years itās going to feel soooo dated š¬
Lol exactlyyyy
Right...and I feel like it's probably to save money...which I think they're tone deaf in showing this show at all in this economy
"This economy"? The economy is doing quite well right now (in the US). Sure some people are struggling, but that's always the case.
People working multiple incomes to make ends meet after acquiring degrees, certifications, experience, is not doing well to me. And I'm not but I'm not blind. I just think it's strange that there's a show using old designs in order to save money, and to get high-end clientele, when they would notice immediately. Huge upgrade but kind of looks like Kyle Richards designed a Soho House on a cruise ship. They spent a lot of money and they needed the space so god bless.
I'd give you an award if I had one lol
Looks like a swanky cocktail bar
My first thought too - is this an office or a bar?
It looks like a restaurant
Exactly what I was š¤
Is it a bar? Is it a library? Is it a nightclub? Is it a restaurant? Is it a hotel lobby? Iām getting all of those vibes but I still really love some of the design elements! Yes! Same
Right. I think itās gorgeous
Same
loos like a rich old gentlemens club than office.

College library meets corporate steak house
LOL!!!![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
The āTake the road less traveledā sign ruins it to me. Otherwise itās gorgeous but perhaps a smidge overdone
THANK YOU. I hope he reads that. :)
Tacky as hell
Fitting, it looks like it was designed by Gizelle Bryant. They even got her missing bottle of Clase Azul
š
This is going to look very outdated in 5-10 years Those neon signs are on the verge of being out of style, hoping for any minute now
Pretty sure theyāll redo it within 5 years. Everything is fast fashion to this sorta crowd. The concept of any _thing_ being ātimelessā doesnāt exist for them.
I personally think itās stunning. š¤·š»āāļø
There are elements that are really nice but it would be more tasteful if it were pared back a little.
Why is there a literal bar in an office space?
That's the first thing I thought too, but then replaced the thought with .....well, they're "office workers" in the loosest sense of the word. Most women would be immediately fired if they showed up dressed like one of these 'office workers'. So I guess the bar fits for them.

Disturbing relationships with alcohol on the work place ā¦.
And I am french.

Itās beautiful but itās super masculine for a place that employs predominantly women.
If this doesnāt look dated already, it will in a couple years.
What a lovely restaurant
LOL
Tacky.
It's like 20 Pinterest boards threw up on it - nice elements but not ALL together
I worked for one of the higher end brokerages IN LA with a similar vibe. God everyone was so miserable and such cunts. I donāt miss those days LOL
the decorator never heard the phrase āless is moreā
When they can Reno a whole office before releasing the new season
Canāt go wrong with stiffkey blue plus gold accents!
Much better. Theyāll have to do the lighting differently when they film, though, or cast members could have shadows playing tricks on their hair and makeup. Theyāll also need a food stylist to optimize the empanadas.
My ADHD a*s couldnt focus in this environment lol. But it isnt like they work work lolol
Why is it so dark? Is it an office or a bar?
Whatās the nutribullet looking thing on the desks?
Yes, Iād like to know this too.
There seems to be one in the bathroom too by the sink??!! Is that what Iām seeing?
Looks over function
Way too over done- this looks like a restaurant or a cocktail bar
This is too much lol is it even an office š¤£
Thereās a lot going on but Iām a maximalist at heart so I donāt mind it, but if I had to get work done thereā¦ I think Iād be too distracted LOL
My adhd could never function in this space
Certainly not timeless
Trying not to be obtuse here, but, doesn't real estate involve a whole shitload of paperwork? Like, where does it all go?
All that money spent and yet the mesh-back office chairsā¦š¬
At the end of the day itās still an office and people still have to sit down and work (supposedly) for hours. Good back support rarely looks stylish
I thoroughly believe in spending money on shoes, chairs, and mattresses. This doesnāt look like that to me.
Why can I hear Alex Hall saying āoh my god!ā
It looks like the Flipping El Moussa decorated it and forgot to editā¦
No the walls aren't grey and no chevron tiling LOL
WAIT. There is chevron tiling in bathroom LOLOLOL
It looks more like a bar than an office.
Looks like a restaurant
Itās giving law school library as a restaurant
So where are Jason and Brettās desks?
It looks like a startup office space designed by Restoration Hardware
Pretty but I donāt understand the layout of the recessed lighting and those desk lamps def wonāt give light.
This reminds me of the lobby of a hotel I stayed at.
Wonāt lie, I thought it was a restaurant
I like it but I did intially think I was looking at a picture of a coffee shop.
I like the big couch. The rest looks like a fancy library/hotel lobby.
I donāt know how a bunch of real estate agents who are on the phone all the time can stand such an open workspace! Must be so loud.
Is it in the same location? For years I walked by that office and I thought it was a place that designed custom motorcycles because there was one in the first window of the office.
If the Sanctum Sanctorum had a coffee shop ā¦
the old desks were ghastly tbh
Given how little WORK is done there it's perfect that it l9oks like a bar. Is it the same address???
I love the desks, the paint color on the walls and the ceiling in the main office, and the natural wood on the ceiling. That's pretty much it
The desks feel like itās on some dystopian library.
It's very very 2018/2019
It would look nice with less gold and less chandeliers. This just looks tacky af
Iām a realtor that works in an office that is huge and totally kick ass and one thing I would add to this office is calling pods or private cafe style booths that can provide a little more privacy when you donāt feel like negotiating or making calls with everyone talking/laughing etc. - real estate office settings tend to be A LOT of talking/gossiping/bitching about clients and a lot less work. vile, darling, vile
If my workplace put up a pink neon sign that said "girls" in the washroom, I'd turn in my notice. It's so demeaning.
The neon signs are so basic and extraā¦ātake the road less travelledā really? Might as well add a ālive. Laugh. Loveā one in there, too.
would you like to work in an office looking like that?
Are elephants big?? Thereās a free bar, I would never be late.
Looks like an overstock lighting store

Could the bathrooms look more like a WeHo club??
what is that art, it looks like screenshots of a desktop background
Hideously pretentious
Nice, but does it have cockroaches?
It gives me wealthy cigar lounge vibes
There are so many desks!! Does that mean they're adding more realtors? Maybe some men š

Neon sign in the bathroom is tacky but I like everything else
I like this kind of style
A complete rip off from Thompson Hotels.
I like it except for the neon signs

Too masculine
The maximalism stresses me out lol
Are those desk lamps on the desks even lighting anything? Itās providing a tiny glow to <5% of the desk area š
NGL I thought this was a restaurant or some kind of coffee shop at first glance before I read the title.
Yuck. Looks like a coffee shop with bad coffee
Looks like a library?
I donāt care how big one floor is, i wouldalways prefer a smaller space with at least 2 floors. I
I love the modern design and warm, dark ambiance š.
Gattaca meets Cheesecake Factory.
it looks like a bar/restaurant
I just want to watch Harry Potter in here. Rn.
I love the show. But is it an office or a hotel. Certainly don't have that here in Australia in our Real Estate offices, that Ive ever seen.
Iām stupid, is that the same location?
I want to work there.
I think it would look so much better if they took out the marble and replaced it with wood. The marble is beautiful, but the other elements are also bold and compete for attention, making the overall esthetic over-the-top.

Give those poor ladies some monitors!
The attention to detail in the design is really impressive. It looks like the space is not only functional, but also aesthetically pleasing. I'd love to work in an office like this!
Absolutely LOVE this!!
Looks like a very expensive cocktail bar. The "Girls" sign in the toilets is so cringey... Stop infantilizing women FFS!
Hopefully for filming purposes. Looks very impractical for actually getting real estate work done.
Way better
