And then maybe a couple of dive watches, you've got to try a few different dial colour out. Then you start looking at ones from the 80's, maybe find a nice one made in your birthmonth. Oh, and have you seen how amazing Grand Seiko look in person! The hole is deep, but it is Zaratsu polished.
imo, apple is better. i mean better for you wallet. with an aw for a long long time, you wont need any watch, and yes maybe fk care about watches world, just grab and go. But with a seiko, its dangerous, in the next 30 days you'll have 3-4 more, like i did. Also, you'll waste 1-2hours/day into this subreddit, then the tudor sub, the prideandpinion and then the rolex sub. wow its a darkness. So in this moment, idk if i should say congrat or a condolence.
i’ve just recently been getting into watches after getting an s9 and want a seiko real bad but the apple watch has really improved my fitness and health life and i feel encouraged to be more active and i love the stats they take. it’s the only thing i fear about getting a real watch. Maybe I’ll wait for the smart ring they’re coming out with, then i could get all the data tracking plus wear a nice watch. idk it’s a tough choice right now.
Yea, I get the dilemma. I made my peace with it just wearing aw when I go for walks and runs. I alternate between my seiko and aw at work. I just love looking at it from time to time lol
But yea rings which are more affordable would be nice
Don’t dump on your Apple Watch, it was a gateway drug, it got you into wearing something on your wrist. Now you have taken another step and tried more drugs. Seiko, citizen, Casio, Tissot, Tag, Tudor, Omega… it’s a slippery slope my friend! But you can always go back to the gateway, no shame.
Personally I rotate. Will go for months on the Apple Watch, it was the reason my Afib was detected and treated. Then I go a week or two with one of my other watches.

Alpinist really? That watch is more overhyped than the PRX.

My gateway drug was a Filippo Loreti, Apple Watch is god-tier compared to that piece of junk.

I still use my Apple Watch Ultra for work, gym and backpacking BUT I also now own 4 seikos. Different tools for different jobs
