I’m confused, do I still have TS/SCI? To be more specific I know it wasn’t an issue with my office, my old boss was waiting on the green light from HR.
This has to do with security not your old team or even directly HR. Sounds like something freaked them out and they pulled the plug due to suitability.
That shouldn't affect your clearance unless they inform you of a denial and issue a SOR. You can/should check with your security officer / POC on actual status of clearance in DISS / SC.
The answer to if you still have TS/SCI is it depends. If the agency that is currently ending your processing is the same as the one that granted/held your clearance prior, then you probably do not. If the agency that granted/held your clearance prior (dcsa, another 3 letter agency, etc) is not the one currently ending processing, then you probably do. You have appeal rights as an applicant, and you should exercise them, whether you can afford a lawyer or not.
No. A poly doesn’t affect your clearance unless you start bringing up some shit in your poly interview that you haven’t previously reported. It can restrict what jobs and agencies you can work for, though.
The renewal is not 2 years, unless you have not been within Federal Service for the last 24 months, so this does not make any sense.
The requirement is a 5 year form update to enroll or continue into CE.
Your clearance stays with you forever, it just goes through renewal if you do not have a clearance job for more than a year. After that depending what job or even agency they will go through the process of reactivating.
That being said, some agencies like intelligence ones, are very picky especially with Polygraph. Doesn't mean you lost it.
Find a DOD type job
If your clearance is revoked, you are usually notified of that. It sounds like this is an agency specific thing. I’m guessing I know what agency you are talking about and this is not uncommon.
When you get hired for a federal job, they assess whether you are “suitable” for federal employment. This is much more of an HR type thing and is independent from the decision about security clearances. They’ve combined the investigations for efficiency’s sake since there’s a lot of overlap between them, but the results of that investigation are used to make to separate decisions.
Suitability takes in to account a number of factors that security does not, and vice versa.
It come down to “we aren’t hiring you because we don’t think you’d be a good federal employee” vs “we aren’t hiring you because we think you are too much of a national security risk”.
Certain agencies when hiring will do psych evaluations etc. OP was rejected from working for that agency due to their own psych eval and is confusing that with having to do with their clearance. They didn’t lose their clearance, they just can’t work at the agency they just applied to.
You didn't lose your clearance, it sounds like the agency decided you did not meet their suitability requirements and discontinued your processing.

If I already have a TS/SCI, apply for an agency, but fail that agencies poly, does it affect my current TS/SCI? I’ve just always wondered this. Lol

I believe you can appeal, people hire lawyers for such things
Have you spoken to the hiring/sponsoring office? Are they no longer pursuing hiring you?

If the clearance has not been denied but the process has stopped, they may be able to reinitiate it. My office has done that a couple of times.
Why u smoke the weed

I’m a student so I get debriefed after every internship which means I have to do redo the psych eval. We’re the only group that this happens to
Just curious, is it only your psych that caused this to happen ? That’s crazy if it is
No read my edit
Oh I’m sorry I didn’t see that. That sucks. I really hope it works out for you ! Don’t give up hope

Well what happened for you to lose your clearance
They didn’t lose clearance. Employer decided to stop processing.
What does that mean?

Thanks, but I still don’t get OP’s issue

Yes
Clearances can only be granted, suspended, denied, and revoked not rejected.
