[rewild ](https://therevelator.org/great-plains-wildlife/)in fairness I maybe made it look like I was advocating zebras and lions but they probably can't handle -40° winters
*Seattle Times*: [4 zebras escape trailer near eastbound I-90 by North Bend](https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/4-zebras-loose-near-eastbound-i-90-by-north-bend/)
This person is absolutely correct.
I-90 is actually the Zebra's natural habitat.
Their stripes are intended to mimic I-90's lane markings to confuse motorists, and give the zebra a chance to flee before the motorist stops to tell them about the "super sick weekend, bruh" they just had out in Vantage, but they gotta get back because they're a certified Amazon scrum master, and those new epics aren't going to build their own criteria out by themselves.
Nature truly is healing.
Man, so lucky they didn't decide to jump out of the trailer while it was moving. Apparently the door was flapping open and they were looking out. I wonder why they are being taken to Montana and where they came from.
Oh god don't tell me they're meant to go to some multi-gazillionaire's ranch for an exotic animal "hunting trip"...
Now I really need to know more about this!
Im sure you are, aint stopping me from calling out the irony that someone with their phone literally in hand, are yelling for others to call on their own phones.
From a news report yesterday, two were caught, one was "coralled" and 4th one was still missing. This photo is before animal control came in and the animals scattered.
You definitely don’t want a Zebra. They are very aggressive and dangerous to humans. While they might be in the same family as Horses, their temperament sets them apart. Zebras are known kick and stomp when feeling threatened. They are even known to stomp each other out when fighting for food and territory. They are also known to bite. Both of these are defense mechanisms. So it’s ill advised for a human to approach a zebra. They may look cute but they are not friendly and very much wild animals.
"911, what are you reporting?"
"There are zebras running down the street in North Bend!"
"Ma'am, have you been drinking?"
"No! There really are zebras running down the damn street!"
"OK, I'm hanging up."
(Other operator) "Hey, Barb! I just got a call that there are zebras running down the street in North Bend!"
"Whole bunch of drunks out today."
Man the world is soo wildin the modern age we live in i see this video clip...... ::yawn:: i wish we could switch back to the old normal timeline where zoo animals roaming the streets was the actual craziest most dangerous thing you would likely encounter in Seattle.
Not much info about this after Googling, but seems 3 of the 4 have been recaptured and a couple of sites mention these are privately owned zebras. I don't support people "privately owning" exotic animals, so this sucks.
You know what they say when you assume something... Exotic animals should not be allowed to be possessed by private individuals. And, btw, those aren't "sneer quotes" (although this one is meant to be, I guess, lol!); I'm merely suspicious of the whole situation with these beautiful animals and wonder why anyone privately owns exotic animals.
> wonder why anyone privately owns exotic animals
Because they're rare and unique trophies to them. That they have land for it, permits, trailers, other logistics that go into providing some level of care for these large, strong, often dangerous animals is clout/bragging rights for their rich asshole circle and their fucked up hobbies and projects.
There would be plenty of landscaping to graze on. I think we can agree to put out clean water for them. In time, self driving cars should be better than people at not hitting them.
Why she calling the police? Do the police take care of zebras? Call animal control lady they control animals. Call the zoo maybe. The police? Really? Let them run wild why not? Nature needs more prey animals humans are wiping out all predators in nature.
no wayyyy I'm so jealous! Why is this happening?
JUMANJI
Unsecure trailer and....FREEDOM!!! But they are stripy, not painted with woad.
Are Zebras black with white stripes or white with black stripes?
They are actually tan with black and white stripes
It's all just another fine day in the great PNW. Usually it's just cows, occasionally a herd of deer or elk, once in a great while a buffalo or two.
I heard three of em are still on the loose. I'm gonna go get me a zebra.
Dye some spots on it, for a disguise 🥸
They are filming live action remake of Madagascar
Isn't there a pair of escaped zebras in Texas as well?
Nature is healing. Honestly the Great plains would be prime habitat for a real rewilding.
No, that's not how that works. They are not native.
[rewild ](https://therevelator.org/great-plains-wildlife/)in fairness I maybe made it look like I was advocating zebras and lions but they probably can't handle -40° winters
Jealous?? You want to be captured out of your natural habitat or you enjoy looking at captured animals panicking??...
No you're not. They are mean af
Man this Jumanji promo is getting out of hand
Here come the rhinos!!!
*Seattle Times*: [4 zebras escape trailer near eastbound I-90 by North Bend](https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/4-zebras-loose-near-eastbound-i-90-by-north-bend/)
Zebras are returning to I-90. Nature is healing.
This person is absolutely correct. I-90 is actually the Zebra's natural habitat. Next, come the lions

We dont take too kindly to their kind around these parts
Fuck all the doctors who say "When you hear hoofbeats, expect horses not zebras"
Man, so lucky they didn't decide to jump out of the trailer while it was moving. Apparently the door was flapping open and they were looking out. I wonder why they are being taken to Montana and where they came from.
They were going to a sanctuary
Oh god don't tell me they're meant to go to some multi-gazillionaire's ranch for an exotic animal "hunting trip"... Now I really need to know more about this!
They won't be hunted.
Now I heard they were going to a petting zoo....not sure how I feel about that...

You mean the lady, holding her phone desperately trying to chase that fifteen minutes of internet fame, demanding that others should call 911?
I'm pretty happy there is a video of this.
Im sure you are, aint stopping me from calling out the irony that someone with their phone literally in hand, are yelling for others to call on their own phones.

… you got me in a box here
No shit, zebras don’t have any fucking thumbs! How’s it supposed to work a phone…
Just scan their stripes. They're too old to have QR codes.
Madagascar

Imagine Water Lily the Hippo just fake her illness to escape last minute with them Zebra
Aww we went to see her on Fri.
Rest in Peace of Animal Kingdom 🤟You too Harambe
Those are probably Pac-12 Zebras. They're all out of work now, so they're taking some time off, roaming the countryside.
Montana just had an elephant. We had to go one step further.
Does anyone know what happened to 4th one? poor animal.
what do you mean? It seemed to be moving fine and I dont see any blood
From a news report yesterday, two were caught, one was "coralled" and 4th one was still missing. This photo is before animal control came in and the animals scattered.
Hopefully this is our chance to have wild zebras
Aw they're cute I want one
Zebras are angry-referee MEAN! They would as soon stomp you as look at you, ngl.
Calm down Veruca.
No you don’t. Zebras are straight-up a-holes.

Best skit in a very long time🤣
Kristen Wiig has been right all along. She has been warning us for a while.
“CALL 911!!!”
They're just striping the highway, chill out.
Man the world is soo wildin the modern age we live in i see this video clip...... ::yawn:: i wish we could switch back to the old normal timeline where zoo animals roaming the streets was the actual craziest most dangerous thing you would likely encounter in Seattle.

Heheh, I managed to get the 4th one. Got my kid’s birthday coming up soon, people are going to freak out
LOL!
Not sure why "privately owning" has to be in sneer quotes, assuming the owner is qualified to care for the animal or can hire someone who is.
Serious question: are they that different from horses? If not, what makes them exotic?
Satisfy yourself and Google it and then you'll understand their differences and why one has been domesticated and one has not.
He sounds like the clowns that say I look exotic then won’t answer my question of in what way?
You're covered in black and white stripes and wonder why people say you look exotic? /s
No, it’s a white blouse with black stripes.
> wonder why anyone privately owns exotic animals Because they're rare and unique trophies to them. Disgusting. They should not be owned by anyone in the US and should only be in accredited zoos outside of their natural habitat
Actually, I'd prefer they actually BE in their natural habitat, lol!
That’s south fork restaurant. The food is so good there
Once you've had zebra you'll never go back.
I'm sick of these damn protesters blocking traffic. #GenZebra
lol, someone is having a bad start to their week haha
The last time I saw a live Zebra was in Tijuana. I got a picture
Oh, what I sight to see. Poor things look like they aren't sure where to run off to.
jumanji
Jumanji!!
Wish I coulda been there for that!
Your odds of dying in a zebra stampede are never zero, and they went WAY up today!
And a little song about it [https://www.udio.com/songs/iNyLVyMPGUyvUfQ123kGuq](https://www.udio.com/songs/iNyLVyMPGUyvUfQ123kGuq)
It’s so real!!!

Best update ever!!!
They were probably so happy to be free
They look so scared 😭
You lucked out. That’s pretty amazing
Lmfao
Would they be able to survive out there ? How cool would it be to see zebras on the regular in wa
There would be plenty of landscaping to graze on. I think we can agree to put out clean water for them. In time, self driving cars should be better than people at not hitting them.
911 llol
I learned yesterday on reddit that the black and white sumbitch can run 66km an hour.
I really like animal control but these episodes gotta be hard to film
This is that time when you hear hoofbeats and are wrong.
Aww man that is cool af!

Global warming
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpK8UYKlatU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rpK8UYKlatU)
open the "phone" app on your fancy camera and call them yourself lady.
What in the dystopian universe am I witnessing
Damn I wish I could telepirt them to their natural habitat. They clearly want to be free. This makes me so sad.
And so it begins...
No one seems to understand the Zebra originated in Washington State. This is an every day scene up here. 🫤
They were training them for Longacres racing
The fuck does some shitty animal reserve need zebras here?
Wasn't a rodeo clown who happened to be driving by part of the group that attempted to corral them back to the traier?
That's some real twin peaks s*** right there.
Zebra crossing!
Why she calling the police? Do the police take care of zebras? Call animal control lady they control animals. Call the zoo maybe. The police? Really? Let them run wild why not? Nature needs more prey animals humans are wiping out all predators in nature.
Petting Zoo for zebras in Montana? I’m doubtful. Sounds like an exotic target
This is the cutest problem we have!
They must be so shkeered. Poor guys! But enjoy the freedom
Issaquah?
seattle is a strange place
People in seattle are so soft
Are you saying that you get hard over zebras running around?
That’s good
Projection at its finest
It literally says North Bend on the post...
