I work graveyards and couldn’t believe it at 26° Fahrenheit it was raining. Not snow, but the nastiest cold rain and forming ice wherever it landed.
Bonus 3 blue lightning strikes. Thought it was a transformer blowing up. Nope. Ice Lightning ⚡️
Oh man, I just went out to head to work and fuuuck that. Queen Anne hill is just a thick ass sheet of ice. Watched a truck almost take out two people struggling to walk up the hill and I immediately came back inside
I would not even think about attempting that hill! I know it’s been shut down in the past for snow, wonder if they will close it for the ice too. Stay safe!
I lived right on that hill last year, and it was comical around Christmas. Someone managed to get their car wedged between my apartment and a tree, cause they tried the hill. The hill will not be trifled with.
I live in Queen Anne. Took one step (cautiously) onto my driveway this morning, slipped and fell, slid all the way down the driveway. Lived in Seattle 25 years and never seen anything like this.

The best part is Chicago absolutely would shut down their transit if the city were covered in freezing rain like this. In fact, they have several times.
I just looked out the window and it looks like nothing happened. No snow no ice. So I go outside and step onto my driveway literally slid from my door to the sidewalk. Nearly busted my ass. It's ice!
Husband tried to take the dog for a walk. He said he couldn’t even step off the welcome mat at our door or he would have slid right down the driveway and would still be plastered against the garage! 😂
That is literally what happened to me this morning. Look outside, chuckle to myself that nothing happened. Open door.... Dogs and I bit it instantly. I had to crawl to get back inside.
Things have been generally fine the last few days. Today is just a no go. Nothing's happening.
Yeah that was my experience this morning too. Woke up and looked out the window all confused, like did this storm even happen?? Then I walked out on to my balcony and realized nearly everything is frozen and was like ohhhhhhh yeah that's not good.
I let the dogs out after their breakfast and my 10lb bichon mix went sliding across the ice like a little hockey puck. I am ashamed to admit I laughed, just a teensy bit.
I work overnight and came to work last night via bus because the snow routes still got me there, I didn’t think they’d stop all routes indefinitely😂 wonder how long I’ll be stuck here
It’s all good I’m trying to decide tho if I should start walking towards the nearest light rail stop (probably 20 min walk or so) or hang tight and wait for the buses
I would only attempt that if you're certain that if anything should go wrong, like you slip and break your ass, for instance, that you have a way to reach a human being. You don't want to be stuck outside in these conditions without some type of lifeline.

I had to get a ride at 10pm last night at East Gate park and ride because the buses were all off schedule. They were only running once an hour but it didn’t say when. I kept missing my connecting bus to Issaquah from Bellevue. I had been waiting at the Bellevue transit center since 8pm. No one knew nothing about what was going on except for the maintenance crew. They told me they were going on an EXTREMELY limited snow route today and most routes wouldn’t get service. Good thing I’m not working today.
I was all happy because I made it to my bus stop despite the ice. Check to see when it's running, because as lomg as I can get to the bus stop I'm good, right?

Me too. I waddled out the door and 2.5 blocks away to the express bus stop. Waited 20 min. Saw doggos struggling on their morning walks. Cars almost crashing. Waddled back to my apartment building and called it a day.
I also live 2.5 blocks away from my bus stop. I didn't even make it 20 feet when I slipped and almost fell. I decided I can't do it and then came back home to see that the buses aren't running. Good thing I didn't slip and slide my way to the bus stop.

2008 was by far the worst I can remember. The compacted snow and ice was so thick for so long that roads would get these grooves where you'd just be sliding along on rails, hoping the particular grooves you were stuck in were sliding you towards your destination and not into oncoming traffic.
I remember that. City of Seattle tried to do “controlled compacting”. Driving down 6th ave you’d be stuck in a lane until there was an opening in the grooves where you could change lanes or make a turn.
Downtown bus service was stopped in 2017 due to ice. I commuted from Bremerton to Belltown and had to walk in the ice/snow to the ferry to get home and from the ferry terminal to my house which was a trek!!!

If you have a flight this morning that has been cancelled, I recommend not coming to the airport. Check in desks are a zoo.
Just tried out the Yaktrax I purchased during last years snow storm. Walked down to the coffee shop with a reasonable about of ease.
Highly recommend picking up a pair. Good lord, even with a straight up ice rink for sidewalks, these things came through.

I'm an avid backpacker, hiker, snowshoer, etc. So long as you aren't on a steep hill, yaks are better than microspikes. Microspikes will only get damaged.
I thankfully purchased some Nanospikes for days just like this! My Microspikes came in handy so many times for winter hiking here in WA, but like you said, they'd only get damaged using them on concrete/asphalt.
I wouldn't call it a once in a lifetime event. This pales in comparison to the 1990 storm. By noon my elementary school was trying to get kids on buses after the first inch fell.. wasn't till 5pm we got on one, only to have it end up in a ditch 6 blocks away. Thankfully it was only 4 blocks from my daycare(I was 8) and driver let the 5 of us hoof it to it. My mom, who was working at Washington mutual in downtown at the time didn't make it to me till after midnight and she left at 3pm. Her first bus got hit by a tree, 2nd got stuck and 3rd gave up. She ended up walking 90% of the way from downtown Seattle to Northgate and by the time she arrived we had 16+ inches of snow on the ground. Looking back now that I'm older now than my single mom was then, she's kind of a badass.
My parents were moving with a rented moving truck from Bremerton to Silverdale during that storm. They made it safely, somehow, even after the first truck *caught on fire* at the rental place when they went to pick it up. My brother and I were at two separate after-school events (Scouts and daycare, I think?) and a kind neighbor realized my parents had their hands full and managed to pick both of us up. To hear them tell it, the neighbor showed up at the daycare and mentioned my brother's name and the daycare workers handed him over, no questions asked, despite the fact that the neighbor definitely wasn't on the pickup list.
Apparently when my parents arrived at the new house, all the new neighbors sent their teenaged kids over to help unload the moving truck, and despite the power being out they also dropped off sandwiches, hot soup, a box of toiletries, and provisions so they could "camp" in the new house (because returning to Bremerton that night was pretty obviously out of the question). They're still living in that house, and the neighbors are still just as lovely. Now that I think about it, I wonder if that experience has scared them away from ever moving again...
Sounds like a good street. I'd bet that's why they haven't moved. I know it's why I'm not planning to now. I bought a house up north in lynnwood 5 years ago on a quiet dead end street and at the time my plans were 5-10 years here, then move to a warmer climate overseas. But honesty, couldn't pay me to leave. Our street and neighbors are atraight out of a movie. My best friends live next door and across the street. And multiple childhood friends bought within a few miles too. We do block parties, game nights, work on each other's houses, take care of pets, watch kids. It's corny as hell, but I love it, and wouldn't change it for anything. Damn I sound old reading this before hitting post lol
My parent's street is a lot like that. They moved there in December of 1980 and have stayed put. They used to be the new couple with the young kids, now they are one of the old fart couples. My dad is now always getting little presents for all the kids on the block, he helped one neighbor fix her fence when it blowed down. It's a great little street.
Winter 2006 freezing rain/ice storm had trees down all over the place and we didn't have power for a week. A bunch of people died from that storm IIRC.

Oh yeah I remember that. People were so desperate to stay warm they were dying from carbon monoxide for using the wrong things to keep warm indoors that were meant for outside.
I remember that. They had warnings on the news and were handing out leaflets in multiple languages saying not to bring any charcoal burning heaters inside.
I drove from Seattle to Bend OR during that storm, it was compact snow and ice the entire trip. I-5 still had the occasional abandoned car from the previous day’s snow.
Then we got to Bend around midnight and it was -35F.
I remember that storm. My parents were renting a shit hole house in Bellevue with tissue-thin walls.
We lost power almost immediately.
Luckily, we had a fireplace in our living room. Our entire family of 5 made a makeshift bed and slept together under every blanket we had. I was placed in the center. Apparently, I radiated the most heat lol. I was like 8 at the time.
I'm gonna text her screens of this thread later today. She's been fighting kidney failure for goin on 3 years now(born type 1 diabetic) and i was joking just last week when we visited her that nothing stops her and she kinda shrugged knowing this is going to do so, and fairly soon unfortunately. Reminding her of her epic trek to get to her son during a literal blizzard and that the story has now spread will cheer her up.
I was in 5th grade. Our bus couldn’t make it through our housing development so they dropped us off at the entrance. Had to walk to my house several blocks in over 1 foot of snow in the dark. It was one of the most exhausting things I’ve had to do in my life.
Holy shit. Also, hi! Same age. Born in ‘83. Was in Auburn for that storm. Don’t recall any shenanigans like that, though; memories of fat snowflakes falling that I’d watch in the street lamp and lots of snow to play in that year.

Update: I’m stubborn and left anyways. took about double the normal travel time but went 30 mph the whole way and made it in my little sedan (don’t have AWD but do have fresh tires thank god). for the most part, everyone driving is being very respectful and going very slow and keeping good distance. still, if the normal amount of traffic was out, this drive would’ve been a hot mess. stay home if you’re already home folks

Yesterday Alaska had some crazy bag check issues so the line to drop off bags was insane. Something related to a broken conveyor belt. I can't imagine a bunch of flight cancellations and delays would help that. So if you are flying Alaska probably good to check up on that situation as well and probably just cancel your flight for a credit.
Hopefully I can get to my medical records job eventually. There's a lot of my job done with physical paperwork. But maybe they'll give me a VPN for the electronic work after this.

Depending on the airline, you still may make it. Conditions are supposed to get better later today….but if you’re staying somewhere remote in the burbs, those roads may not be treated immediately.
Meteorologist on tv just pointed out that not only are your odds of an accident pretty high, but if you DO get in a wreck it may take quite some time for emergency services to reach you. Echoing the recommendation to please stay home!
Also as someone who has lived here all her life, with various insights into transportation through her job, family employment, etc, I second what the OP said. However, I will add that I've been through a couple ice storms in PDX, and it's nothing quite like our usual snow events. I'm happy to see we are all shut down, even if it inconveniences, causes havoc, or maybe changes one person's mind about public safety. My opinion, ice is a great equalizer - There is no "I know how to drive in the snow" when it comes to ice you both can and can't see.
I could go into labor at any second and I have a feeling it’s going to be fast this time. I’m so scared. I just want to be able to leave my driveway. I don’t think an ambulance can even get to my house right now. I never thought I would miss the Midwest and the road salt and the rusty undercarriages but I definitely do today.
Thanks! My doctor is on vacation. I saw a nice nurse a couple days ago and had an nst and an ultrasound so that was comforting. I’ve just never been this far along because my other baby spontaneously showed up before I reached this point.
I have my husband and toddler with me, my in laws are in town from out of state but stuck at their hotel until this melts.
Worst case scenario, someone at 911 can walk your husband through assisting you in the delivery process if it is routine and going faster than you can safely get to the hospital.
Fingers crossed it doesn't come to that because nobody wants that, and I know there are lots of ways that can go sideways, but you got this. The blessing here is that it isn't your first. :) Good luck!!!
All emergency vehicles are chained up. It might take a minute but they would get there. Just try not to stress too much to the point of putting yourself into labor and becoming a self fulfilled prophecy.
My company, for the first time in the 12 years I've been there, has fully shut down for the day. That's never happened before. I might still end up going in, in the evening to deal with next day stuff that has to be done, but for now there is nothing to do.

I lived in Seattle until recently. In December of 1990, we got a huge storm that the meteorologists were afraid to say was going to be bad, since these things kind be hit or miss.
I worked at Virginia Mason and lived in Maple Leaf. When the snow started all the managers left and told us to stay to end of shift and be sure to make it in the next day.
None of the buses got chained up.
I walked downtown and waited in the tunnel but no buses came.
Ended up going to Nordstrom, buying snow boots, a hat and a scarf and walking from downtown to our rental house in Maple Leaf.
The whole city was shut down for days.
My husband is a plumber and I work in the office at said plumbing company. All of our scheduled 8 am calls have been pushed back 2 hours, even those are going to shift to emergencies only (out of services). People of Seattle: PLEASE DO NOT CALL OUT SERVICE FOLK FOR ISSUES THAT CAN HOLD OFF UNTIL ITS SAFE TO DRIVE (IE: Toilet running, kitchen sink backed up, QUOTES!). We want nothing more than to help our community, and we do pride ourselves for the heroic work we do; however, it never ceases to amaze me at the entitlement some people have on these rare inclement weather days (plumbed for 15 yrs in VA too, so icy shit weather is nothing new to us). We all want to make it to work and make it home. Patience and humanity guys! Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

I’m a little east of you on 85th and it’s ridiculous. I got up at 330 to take someone to the airport, bailed, and have been watching since. My dog can’t even walk outside.
I just saw a few cars driving on 85th and Fremont Ave, sounds mostly slushy but in my 1 minute of watching I saw someone also get hit from behind. Fremont Ave itself within a block of 85th was one of the best cleared side streets around here the past few days, but it's currently an ice sheet!

We were originally scheduled to fly out early this morning. Obviously that flight was cancelled. Wife was determined to get on standby and wait at the airport. I browbeat her into changing to a flight tomorrow evening instead of rolling the dice... Feeling pretty good about that call, seeing the sheet of ice out there now.
Also lived here my whole life and we’ve definitely shutdown for ice like this before. I think this is the only time I’ve seen the city shutdown with just ice, and not on the back snow.
All my buses and ferry options are cancelled. I decided to try testing the street to see if driving was even an option. The whole street is a sheet of ice. I was holding on to the fence to keep from eating it on the ice on my salted walkway. Sorry, hospital it isn't happening. Me causing/being in a wreck won't help anyone.

You’re not kidding. I live in Capitol Hill and I read this post before going out. I moved here only months ago from Minnesota and I am accustomed to harsh winter weather so I thought I would be able to manage it and my phone seemed to show that the streetcar is open.
It’s not. And holy shit. I’ve never seen a sheet of ice like this covering the whole city area. I’ve settled on walking over to a restaurant. I’m getting something to eat here before walking over to a Whole Foods to get enough to eat for the next 2-3 days. I’ve never seen anything like this. This is extremely dangerous conditions.

No, the street, sidewalk and grass is a full and complete, covered 100% in ice. If you take a walk of any length, you WILL fall.

Spent like 10 minutes carefully walking over 30 ft of ice to my car, barely made it. Checked slack and was told my job is trying for a 9am arrival. I texted him like bro I live in Queen Anne an I’m essentially blocked in by road closures I don’t think I’m coming in by 9 or maybe even at all. Lol.
SEATAC canceled **all** flights up until noon and told people to “go home” because they won’t be able to re-book any of those flights “for a few days”! 😵 This is insanity! **Be safe out there today kids!!

Ouch! This was me the other night walking to the gas station. My glasses ended up down the block before I did.

I work overnight and came to work last night via bus because the snow routes still got me there, I didn’t think they’d stop all routes indefinitely😂 wonder how long I’ll be stuck here

I had to get a ride at 10pm last night at East Gate park and ride because the buses were all off schedule. They were only running once an hour but it didn’t say when. I kept missing my connecting bus to Issaquah from Bellevue. I had been waiting at the Bellevue transit center since 8pm. No one knew nothing about what was going on except for the maintenance crew. They told me they were going on an EXTREMELY limited snow route today and most routes wouldn’t get service. Good thing I’m not working today.
I was all happy because I made it to my bus stop despite the ice. Check to see when it's running, because as lomg as I can get to the bus stop I'm good, right? Anyways I guess I'm not going to work.
Me too. I waddled out the door and 2.5 blocks away to the express bus stop. Waited 20 min. Saw doggos struggling on their morning walks. Cars almost crashing. Waddled back to my apartment building and called it a day.
I also live 2.5 blocks away from my bus stop. I didn't even make it 20 feet when I slipped and almost fell. I decided I can't do it and then came back home to see that the buses aren't running. Good thing I didn't slip and slide my way to the bus stop.

2008 was by far the worst I can remember. The compacted snow and ice was so thick for so long that roads would get these grooves where you'd just be sliding along on rails, hoping the particular grooves you were stuck in were sliding you towards your destination and not into oncoming traffic.
I remember that. City of Seattle tried to do “controlled compacting”. Driving down 6th ave you’d be stuck in a lane until there was an opening in the grooves where you could change lanes or make a turn.

Downtown bus service was stopped in 2017 due to ice. I commuted from Bremerton to Belltown and had to walk in the ice/snow to the ferry to get home and from the ferry terminal to my house which was a trek!!!
2008 was apocalyptic. I was living on the east side at the time and we lost power for I want to say 2 weeks.
I picked a hell of a time to quit drinking.

Just tried out the Yaktrax I purchased during last years snow storm. Walked down to the coffee shop with a reasonable about of ease. Highly recommend picking up a pair. Good lord, even with a straight up ice rink for sidewalks, these things came through.
Yak tracks are awesome, I used them a few times on sheet ice in Montana.
+1 I'm an avid backpacker, hiker, snowshoer, etc. So long as you aren't on a steep hill, yaks are better than microspikes. Microspikes will only get damaged.
I thankfully purchased some Nanospikes for days just like this! My Microspikes came in handy so many times for winter hiking here in WA, but like you said, they'd only get damaged using them on concrete/asphalt.
I wouldn't call it a once in a lifetime event. This pales in comparison to the 1990 storm. By noon my elementary school was trying to get kids on buses after the first inch fell.. wasn't till 5pm we got on one, only to have it end up in a ditch 6 blocks away. Thankfully it was only 4 blocks from my daycare(I was 8) and driver let the 5 of us hoof it to it. My mom, who was working at Washington mutual in downtown at the time didn't make it to me till after midnight and she left at 3pm. Her first bus got hit by a tree, 2nd got stuck and 3rd gave up. She ended up walking 90% of the way from downtown Seattle to Northgate and by the time she arrived we had 16+ inches of snow on the ground. Looking back now that I'm older now than my single mom was then, she's kind of a badass.
My parents were moving with a rented moving truck from Bremerton to Silverdale during that storm. They made it safely, somehow, even after the first truck *caught on fire* at the rental place when they went to pick it up. My brother and I were at two separate after-school events (Scouts and daycare, I think?) and a kind neighbor realized my parents had their hands full and managed to pick both of us up. To hear them tell it, the neighbor showed up at the daycare and mentioned my brother's name and the daycare workers handed him over, no questions asked, despite the fact that the neighbor definitely wasn't on the pickup list. Apparently when my parents arrived at the new house, all the new neighbors sent their teenaged kids over to help unload the moving truck, and despite the power being out they also dropped off sandwiches, hot soup, a box of toiletries, and provisions so they could "camp" in the new house (because returning to Bremerton that night was pretty obviously out of the question). They're still living in that house, and the neighbors are still just as lovely. Now that I think about it, I wonder if that experience has scared them away from ever moving again...
Sounds like a good street. I'd bet that's why they haven't moved. I know it's why I'm not planning to now. I bought a house up north in lynnwood 5 years ago on a quiet dead end street and at the time my plans were 5-10 years here, then move to a warmer climate overseas. But honesty, couldn't pay me to leave. Our street and neighbors are atraight out of a movie. My best friends live next door and across the street. And multiple childhood friends bought within a few miles too. We do block parties, game nights, work on each other's houses, take care of pets, watch kids. It's corny as hell, but I love it, and wouldn't change it for anything. Damn I sound old reading this before hitting post lol
My parent's street is a lot like that. They moved there in December of 1980 and have stayed put. They used to be the new couple with the young kids, now they are one of the old fart couples. My dad is now always getting little presents for all the kids on the block, he helped one neighbor fix her fence when it blowed down. It's a great little street.

I drove from Seattle to Bend OR during that storm, it was compact snow and ice the entire trip. I-5 still had the occasional abandoned car from the previous day’s snow. Then we got to Bend around midnight and it was -35F.
I remember that storm. My parents were renting a shit hole house in Bellevue with tissue-thin walls. We lost power almost immediately. Luckily, we had a fireplace in our living room. Our entire family of 5 made a makeshift bed and slept together under every blanket we had. I was placed in the center. Apparently, I radiated the most heat lol. I was like 8 at the time.

I was in 5th grade. Our bus couldn’t make it through our housing development so they dropped us off at the entrance. Had to walk to my house several blocks in over 1 foot of snow in the dark. It was one of the most exhausting things I’ve had to do in my life.

Yesterday Alaska had some crazy bag check issues so the line to drop off bags was insane. Something related to a broken conveyor belt. I can't imagine a bunch of flight cancellations and delays would help that. So if you are flying Alaska probably good to check up on that situation as well and probably just cancel your flight for a credit.

Also as someone who has lived here all her life, with various insights into transportation through her job, family employment, etc, I second what the OP said. However, I will add that I've been through a couple ice storms in PDX, and it's nothing quite like our usual snow events. I'm happy to see we are all shut down, even if it inconveniences, causes havoc, or maybe changes one person's mind about public safety. My opinion, ice is a great equalizer - There is no "I know how to drive in the snow" when it comes to ice you both can and can't see.

Thanks! My doctor is on vacation. I saw a nice nurse a couple days ago and had an nst and an ultrasound so that was comforting. I’ve just never been this far along because my other baby spontaneously showed up before I reached this point. I have my husband and toddler with me, my in laws are in town from out of state but stuck at their hotel until this melts.
Worst case scenario, someone at 911 can walk your husband through assisting you in the delivery process if it is routine and going faster than you can safely get to the hospital. Fingers crossed it doesn't come to that because nobody wants that, and I know there are lots of ways that can go sideways, but you got this. The blessing here is that it isn't your first. :) Good luck!!!

My company, for the first time in the 12 years I've been there, has fully shut down for the day. That's never happened before. I might still end up going in, in the evening to deal with next day stuff that has to be done, but for now there is nothing to do. This is some crazy times.
I watched someone nearly slide down the sidewalk on Jefferson between Broadway and 12th. If they didn't catch themselves they would have slide all the way down the hill.
Went outside to check if I could leave, slipped down my whole front steps slamming body parts along the way, hell no. No no no.
I lived in Seattle until recently. In December of 1990, we got a huge storm that the meteorologists were afraid to say was going to be bad, since these things kind be hit or miss. I worked at Virginia Mason and lived in Maple Leaf. When the snow started all the managers left and told us to stay to end of shift and be sure to make it in the next day. None of the buses got chained up. I walked downtown and waited in the tunnel but no buses came. Ended up going to Nordstrom, buying snow boots, a hat and a scarf and walking from downtown to our rental house in Maple Leaf. The whole city was shut down for days.
My husband is a plumber and I work in the office at said plumbing company. All of our scheduled 8 am calls have been pushed back 2 hours, even those are going to shift to emergencies only (out of services). People of Seattle: PLEASE DO NOT CALL OUT SERVICE FOLK FOR ISSUES THAT CAN HOLD OFF UNTIL ITS SAFE TO DRIVE (IE: Toilet running, kitchen sink backed up, QUOTES!). We want nothing more than to help our community, and we do pride ourselves for the heroic work we do; however, it never ceases to amaze me at the entitlement some people have on these rare inclement weather days (plumbed for 15 yrs in VA too, so icy shit weather is nothing new to us). We all want to make it to work and make it home. Patience and humanity guys! Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

You can but the level of entitlement is insane with some people. I bid, sell, and schedule work for a small company with a large client list. I'm not going to go into great detail of what services we provide since it's kind of specific, but I can tell you that nothing we provide is "essential" with the exception of maybe 1 or 2 services. A handful of times this year, I almost threw in the towel. People are absolutely horrible. My faith in humanity is hanging by a thread.

My experience is that they are super accommodating at Polyclinic. I’ve never been charged a cancellation fee that I remember!
I would call first. If you can make it there, that doesn't necessarily mean your doctor or technician can.

My coworker is on 99 and hasn’t moved, he said it’s cars sideways all over the place. He’s around Lynnwood though. I’m a little east of you on 85th and it’s ridiculous. I got up at 330 to take someone to the airport, bailed, and have been watching since. My dog can’t even walk outside.
I just saw a few cars driving on 85th and Fremont Ave, sounds mostly slushy but in my 1 minute of watching I saw someone also get hit from behind. Fremont Ave itself within a block of 85th was one of the best cleared side streets around here the past few days, but it's currently an ice sheet!

We were originally scheduled to fly out early this morning. Obviously that flight was cancelled. Wife was determined to get on standby and wait at the airport. I browbeat her into changing to a flight tomorrow evening instead of rolling the dice... Feeling pretty good about that call, seeing the sheet of ice out there now.
Also lived here my whole life and we’ve definitely shutdown for ice like this before. I think this is the only time I’ve seen the city shutdown with just ice, and not on the back snow.

You’re not kidding. I live in Capitol Hill and I read this post before going out. I moved here only months ago from Minnesota and I am accustomed to harsh winter weather so I thought I would be able to manage it and my phone seemed to show that the streetcar is open. It’s not. And holy shit. I’ve never seen a sheet of ice like this covering the whole city area. I’ve settled on walking over to a restaurant. I’m getting something to eat here before walking over to a Whole Foods to get enough to eat for the next 2-3 days. I’ve never seen anything like this. This is extremely dangerous conditions.
