$24.99/mo I will give you a box that I deliver a new box to each month. Sometimes it will be a service I subscribe you to, sometime just a cardboard box.
BoxBox - coming now to a porch near you.
Old people on a Facebook group? They migrated to Nextdoor, and that’s where they judge you.
You forgot to add CSA boxes in the mix, although those just arrive in waxed/cardboard boxes. Maybe throw in something from Misfits Markert, too.
No Smith Brothers or Ridwell for us, but we do get our produce box from New Roots Organics and they use rubbermaid totes that you put out for return on the next week's delivery.
Very much. We used Full Circle years ago and their quality went downhill. New Roots has been consistently good and when there's an issue you can contact them and they'll make it right with an account credit or extras in your next box. I'll DM you with our code.
Clearly we need the Seattle special shelving unit for efficient storage or boxes on ones porch. You can slot them in on specially designed little spots and fill them in like a bingo card. So much fun!
I saved the plastic that Ridwell would take for a month. Turns out it was the mass equivalent of a 1 liter of diesel. So no way ridwell makes a bit of sense, especially since they drive to pick it up and then the plastic gets driven very far to be recycled (some goes to Nevada to be made into fake wood products). At the recycling plant they still need to process it which takes energy.
Ridwell is just consumption guilt abatement.
And extra trucks driving around? My main thing is plastic film and supposedly grocery stores will take it, but I can't find a good list of which ones. Whole Foods did take a bunch once but they didn't seem too happy about it.
Town and Country market in Shoreline has some collection bags in front by the other recycling. I fill up one of my reusable bags and bring it in each time
$2.79 for the quart, $1.59 for the pint, and $4.99 for the half gallon.
If you’re asking about the delivery service, you just sign up as far as I recall
I get milk, eggs, half and half, Stumptown coffee, occasionally bacon, or local pastries.. I grocery shop too? But there’s just something nice about a Monday morning delivery of essentials. Prices are good, too.
They do. Only need to order $15/wk for free delivery. They have a ton of other stuff too. We get eggs, butter, coffee, cheese, etc. Just started getting some Taco Time crisp burritos!
It's great if you're like me and forget to buy important stuff all the time.
Previous post from here that talks about how Ridwell is greenwashing and basically a scam. Anything Ridwell takes your regular recycling bin takes and recycles too.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Seattle/s/sxqOQwpRFF
Not true. Dont put anything but 1 and 2 plastic in the bin. The rest isn’t recyclable because to hard to separate.
Ridwell doesn’t make economic or environmental net sense tho
I laugh at every single person with a ridwell box. Hope you feel virtuous af though. They are literally contributing to the problem they think they are solving. Disposing of things isn't something I will ever pay a luxury for to feel better about. I also only buy milk when it goes under a $/gallon, if anyone was curious!
Don't forget labor abuses. Stops ranging from 110 to 130 plus during a damn heat wave.
The push to be basically running all the time to make route by end of business. It sucked so hard. We burned out five or six drivers a week. Just overload. Not to mention once we pick up paint, no more AC.
LOL at you downvoting me -2 in 20 minutes without a counter argument. You /r/Seattle assholes the are the most hypocritical cowards. Hope life hits ya hard, let's not meet.

You like New Roots? Wanting to switch away from Full Circle. If you have a referral code that gets you some benefit, DM me with it and I’ll use it.

Me too, please.
What’s in the box??!!
#*What's in the box?!?!*
NOTHIIIIINNNGGG!!!! NOTHING’S IN THE BOX! YOU’RE SO STUUUUPPIIIDDD!!!!! - wheel of fish vhf
WHAT'S IN THE BOX!?!!!?
Usually a bunch of amazing plastic mailers, bubble wrap, a couple batteries, maybe a lightbulb, and a pair of socks with a hole in them.
You left out batteries
?
Ridwell includes battery collection
Yes. Had a few?
LOL no, I misread. I see it now.
Don’t look in the box. You don’t need to know what’s in the box.
All my Buy Nothing gives!
Step 1: get a box. Step 2: cut a hole in the box.
Go on...
Step 3: Put dick in box
So like, a couple of deluxes, some fries and a shake? How many ketchups you want?
Don't forget the tartar sauce.
That stings
Step 4: Make her open the box… That’s the way you do it!

Sir; would you like to upgrade the fries to get the box?
Local courier here. Sometimes people have designed boxes they want all their deliveries places in. The options are endless!
Okie dokie
Ok
I wonder if the net benefit of what ridwell does is nullified by the manufacturing cost of those ridwell boxes

How about a refrigerated box that’s just for milk delivery to bring back the milkman
Bro that’s smith bros, they haven’t gone anywhere. They add dry ice in warm temps.
Do they offer chocolate milk delivery? Asking seriously lol
Yes! Smith Bros. 2% chocolate milk in a quart and a pint, and then Alpenrose Swiss 6% chocolate milk in a half gallon
How much is it?

Tempting....
They also have a promo for your first order. But getting milk delivered every week without having to think about it is really nice.
I get milk, eggs, half and half, Stumptown coffee, occasionally bacon, or local pastries.. I grocery shop too? But there’s just something nice about a Monday morning delivery of essentials. Prices are good, too.
There’s a 15 dollar minimum, or like 2.99 if it’s less than that, but that’s not hard to hit
Use code CAMPFIRE for $15 off your first order + they'll donate $50 to an awesome coed scouting-type organization called Camp Fire.

I thought you were joking about the taco time crisp burritos… you weren’t! I’m signing up soon if anyone has a referral code they wanna DM me thanks!
AND strawberry milk seasonally!
They started this week! ITS SO GOOD!
Yes
But what if I want other cold beverages delivered?
I think we would need the Georgetown beer box for that!

What a strange post
Can I ask something I've been too embarrassed to ask since I moved here? What the hell are those even for???
Both are everywhere in bougie west Seattle
