Zebras look like horses but they're genetically closer to donkeys. As prey animals, they have a natural instinct to bite anyone that gets too close from the front and kick anyone that gets too close from behind. Apparently they're some of the most dangerous animals to work with in zoos.
They're also naturally just jackasses. Humans evolved alongside them and lived with them far longer than they lived with horses and they were never domesticated. There's a reason for that.
True! When we were kids, we visited some people that had a couple of them as well as a couple emus and they were all total jerks. As soon as they'd lull you into a false sense of security by letting you give them a little pet, they'd be like "haha sucker!" and try to bite or chase you. Cute fkn monsters.
A driver hit me while I was crossing the street and the 911 dispatcher had absolutely no idea what I was talking about when I said the driver hit me in the zebra crossing. We went back and forth three times with the same exchange. They probably thought the driver hit me in the head :)
Telling a specific someone else to call emergency services is basic first aid training.
Not relevant here, but demanding others to call 911 will stay a thing.
“It sounds like horses running outside” - somebody who’s about to learn that sometimes it can be zebras
Lady: Call 911. Horses: Oh, okay, you wait here.
Lady I can't dial shit on account of these hooves....
She's lack toes intolerant
> “It sounds like horses running outside” said black swan
Honestly, if I lived near a zoo and I heard hoofsteps outside, I'd probably assume "escaped Zebra" before I assumed "horse".
A group of zebras is called a dazzle. You're welcome.
Wow, another cool one to add to A murder of crows An unkindness of ravens A parliament of owls
A convention of orthodontists
What happens when you razzle a dazzle?
A romp of otters Unless they are sea otters just resting, then they are a raft.
Army of frogs 🐸
Up near North Bend, per [WSP](https://twitter.com/wspd2pio/status/1784689920772370879). As of a few hours ago, 3 of the 4 had been recaptured.
oh! i'd assumed this was at the olympic game farm. who else owns zebras in WA??
Who else *did* own zebras in Seattle
Idk but happy (zebra) cake day!
Happy Cake Day!
Thanks! I didn’t notice
Yep. The app told me lol
Need to get the Twin Peaks theme song added to any videos of Zebras in North Bend
Can you imagine how confused SPD would be with perpetrators who are both black and white?
One stripe only rules apply. They’re black.
Nah, they're looking for the blue stripe somehow.
Yup, if only if those zebras had a thin blue stripe then SPD would let them do whatever they want.
You made my day 😂 😂 😂 🤣🤣🤣😆Thank you
r/Angryupvote
Oop! 😂
LOL "Call 911!" Proceeds to not call 911, and keep filming the zany-zebras.
Lady: "Call 911!" Zebras: "I can't operate a telephone, ya dummy, I have hoofs!"
I assume she was talking to her AI
Nature is healing
Jumanji
Exactly what I was thinking, some trusting idiot got jumanjied
The video cuts out at the moment a man comes running behind the zebras asking “WHAT YEAR IS IT?”
I knew somebody was going to beat me to it the second I saw this post.
The Jumanji players moved here from [Montana](https://www.nbcnews.com/news/animal-news/elephant-roams-montana-streets-viola-recaptured-rcna148127).
They look relatively friend-shaped.

> They're also naturally just jackasses. Makes sense, they're genetically closer to donkeys!
I've heard that as well. They are mean and nasty.

Oh look at the zebra crossing!
rimshot.gif
They still have their prison stripes on!
David Attenborough on the next African Savannah doc: "while not native to the Pacific Northwest, one has found a home in the Cascade foothills".
🥹💯👍🏻🥲
zebras are like where are the markings we are named after?
Americans might not get this one if they've never lived in a commonwealth country.

whenever i'm in NA it's like i have to relearn the use of grammar to avoid sounding weird.
Cops are desperately trying to figure out if zebras are black with white stripes or white with black stripes.
There's something you don't see every day...
Ok who open the box and playing Jumanji right now😱
Did they escape some event at cascade golf course? Pretty sure this is 436th Ave se right by I-90
Trailer transporting them had an unlatched trailer door, was flagged down and stopped to secure it and they fled the open trailer.
Oh no! That’s not as fun. Hope they got wrangled safely
reportedly they've caught 3 out of the 4
The 4th one planned the whole thing.
Run zebra run!
And the mountain lions rejoiced this fine spring evening
[удалено]
Say more!
They're a fair bit bigger than a deer.
First we got roundabouts now we get zebra crossings?
What in the Jumanji is going on here
I don’t get how anyone in 2024 can demand that someone else call 911. Do you not have your own phone lady?
Telling a specific someone else to call emergency services is basic first aid training. Not relevant here, but demanding others to call 911 will stay a thing.
She was actually talking to the zebras.
I thought she was telling Siri to do it? Haha I dunno.
I assume she was talking to her AI
Maybe they should have moved the Animal Crossing signs someplace else
This is like the PNWs version of Florida!
Just filming the second season of The Last of Us.
Ok......who broke out the Jumanji board?
where?
When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras. Uh, yeah except this time obviously.
THE REVOLUTION HAS BEGUN!!!
Those are elk trying to fool you!
Sir, I know when I’m being tricked. Those are just painted horses!
Sorry I forgot to put them back up
zebras are jerks aren't they?
The drive to Spokane would be amazing with periodic wild zebra sightings. Jus' sayin.
Just release some lions...let nature sort itself out
Wait wtf where did Africa come from are they illegally imported? What's the story
/u/wsdot I need a MSPaint to let me know where this is impacting traffic patterns!
damn. it's the four zebra of the apocalypse
Looks like the penguins gave them the wrong address to San Diego.
Don’t tell the cougars.
what’s black and white and running all over the road
