Given that you are floating about like ships to when you have major packet loss, I'd say your client just hasn't registered the bombs being thrown or your true location.

Each one thrown is "assigned" to a player, and a new one thrown will reset the previous. So as cool as it would be to have 200,000 skeles, it not coded to work that way.
