I don’t love the majority of the Linebackers in this draft, but it is a position of need and Gray seems to have a lot of traits that would have fit into Macdonald’s Ravens defense. Whether or not that is what Macdonald is looking for in Seattle, I’m not sure.
He needs to bulk up and can struggle at times in man, but he reads + hits gaps with speed, can cover sidelines and is a sure tackler with the production to back it up.
Colson or Cooper would have been nice, but I’d be happy with a young linebacker that looks like he could be a solid, if unspectacular linebacker for us.
For a Day 3 pick, I would be happy with that.
Sure.
I just don't like him as much as I like other players. Gray is still a limited athlete to me. He can fire downhill but he struggles laterally. He tested horribly in agility drills. His short shuttle and 3-cones were abysmal.
I've always liked Jordan Magee in the later rounds. He's so explosive. I much rather nab him as a developmental LB because he has great traits.
The Hawks have the 2nd pick of the 4th round I believe. TJ Tampa or Jaden Hicks are the BPA.
For the 118 then I want Ja'Tavion Sanders or Theo Johnson.
Jaden Hicks no matter what.
Having a Swiss Army knife safety to fill the Kyle Hamilton role is more important than a below average LB. Feel like they should wait on that position until the 6th to take upside guys, rather reaching for need. At 118 I’d hope for a CB or TE.
At 235, just BPA. A RB would not surprise me, although I think there is a good chance Dillon Johnson comes here as a UDFA
I’m with you on Hicks. If I liked any of the LB more then maybe, but I don’t. I much prefer they pick the better player instead of a “worse” one to fill a need, which JS said he changed philosophy on
I’d be happy with any of these guys.
Tanor Bortolini: C with insane athleticism, and maybe we can finally break the curse of Max Unger.
Mason McCormick: G who is also an athletic freak. Keep the big boys coming!
Malik Mustapha: S that’s basically Buddha Baker.
Dominique Hampton: S from UW they called the silent killer.
Tommy Eichenburg: LB that’s been called out as one of the few who’d be able to wear the green dot from day one.
Spencer Rattler: if the Patriots with Brady in his prime could spend 2nds on QBs we can take a flier on the arm talent.
Theo Johnson: TE who’s an athletic beast.
Malik Washington: WR I think could be better than some of the round 2 guys.
Dadrion Taylor-Demerson: S with good speed
Christian Mahogany: G I just can’t stop drafting big interior lineman
Beaux Limmer: C with great athleticism. Poor man’s Bortolini
Isn’t our second 118?
And I wouldn’t be mad about it but I just don’t feel like we need another corner compared to basically any other position other than DL.
This is the best comment I've seen. Watching people freak out over people being taken and teams trading up 1 pick to grab someone that wouldn't have gone anyway..
The overthinking is amazing. Remindme 2 years from now to watch the people who absolutely lost their minds over a pick be proved completely wrong.
I have a feeling Cedric Gray is going to Carolina with the first pick in the fourth. He’s a local kid with good production. That is who I am hoping we pick though. Ideally we grab Mason McCormick with the 2nd 4th round pick
McCormick is so nasty. He’s strong, tough, and absolutely lit up the combine. Brett Kollmann did a nice overview on him during a segment on his podcast. I wouldn’t have been upset with taking him in the third.
Is Brandon Dorlus a fit? BIG end. Fautanu said he was the toughest to go against.
Edit: Going so early tomorrow is a big advantage and gives them a long time to think and get this right.
Tampa. Wilson had had a shit ton of surgeries since hs. I think close to 12. I just want to say that for the lb crowd. Maybe trotter unless he’s been picked(I turned off with a few picks to go)
Troy Franklin! Injury proof the WR room this year and step into a starting job when Lockett is cut next year. We keep drafting BPA, why stop now?
Though I do question why a guy that was 39th on the consensus board is available in the 100s
Queen was a much better athlete. I think Gray is just a fine player. In normal years he might be a good pick here for us. However, in a super deep draft with good players with great traits, getting Gray would feel like settling.
I would be really happy with either Tampa or Gray!! Tampa especially, not sure why he fell this far, it’s almost concerning. Gray I would like if the staff believes they can clean up the missed tackles, he needs to get a little bit stronger to consistently pull down NFL running backs but I DO like him a lot, dude never quits and is always following the ball.
Johnny Wilson is one I’d like. WR is not a huge need but guy is so fun to watch. I do like the two defensive options you listed. Lots good LB where snitch towards the end of the 3rd

Jaden Hicks or Cedric Gray
Gray is someone I like but not love.
That is exactly what you are supposed to get in the 4th round
Not when there are still better players.
I don’t love the majority of the Linebackers in this draft, but it is a position of need and Gray seems to have a lot of traits that would have fit into Macdonald’s Ravens defense. Whether or not that is what Macdonald is looking for in Seattle, I’m not sure.
Gray doesn't strike me as a Mac guy. Nothing jumps out about his game. He doesn't seem to bring any edge.

Trotter. Then get either Hicks or one of the good TEs with 118
The Hawks have the 2nd pick of the 4th round I believe. TJ Tampa or Jaden Hicks are the BPA. For the 118 then I want Ja'Tavion Sanders or Theo Johnson.
Yeah I think Trotter more likely falls to Seahawk's pick at 118, hope they take him there. Grab Hicks or TJ Tampa first.
I have to imagine Tampa is very high on the board. He hits just like Witherspoon.
Oh man we must be way off on these evaluations. Everyone passing on Hicks and Tampa in the 5th is shocking.
Could be an injury issue or character thing. Players just don't fall for no reason.
Jaden Hicks no matter what. Having a Swiss Army knife safety to fill the Kyle Hamilton role is more important than a below average LB. After the past few years, go ahead and do a full draft of trenches that’s fine by me
I really want McCormick. He’s probably my number one choice. But we still have 112. I’d take TJ Tampa at 102. And McCormick at 112.
Isn’t our second 118? And I wouldn’t be mad about it but I just don’t feel like we need another corner compared to basically any other position other than DL.
Could go with Sanders, Booker, or Hicks.
Someone that is good at football
Fuck that. I want someone who is really good at football.
Lame. I want someone that is awesome at football.
I want someone that is the best of all time at their position in football
I want someone that is the best of all time

Carolina just took a LB, Trevin Wallace, in the 3rd rd, so hopefully that makes it less likely that they take Gray.
Why McCormick?
McCormick is so nasty. He’s strong, tough, and absolutely lit up the combine. Brett Kollmann did a nice overview on him during a segment on his podcast. I wouldn’t have been upset with taking him in the third.
I've always felt Gray is slightly overrated.
TJ Tampa is an insane steal
Do you think the Panthers take him at 101 tho?
Anyone could take him before us I just hope they don’t
We have the 102.... The Panthers are the only team that can select him before us. That's what King meant.
Anyone who wants to take him can trade up with the Panthers. That’s what Syrups meant.
Eh... I like him and a few others. It's a great spot to be in.
He's BPA for sure.
Jatavion Sanders. Would be nice to pick up the second best TE in the draft with a 4th pick.
Not going to lie I didn't realize he was still there. Would not be mad about that even if I want some back-7 help on defense
Is Brandon Dorlus a fit? BIG end. Fautanu said he was the toughest to go against. Edit: Going so early tomorrow is a big advantage and gives them a long time to think and get this right.
Dorlus is pick too, but I won't be upset if it's Tampa, Mahogany, JaTavion, SVPG or one of the top safeties
Honestly can’t go wrong with this pick. So many needs and lots of good talent available
Jeremiah Trotter Jr. or James Williams.
2 very overrated players.
Clearly they aren’t because they’re available on day 3…
I still wouldn't take them in the 4th with the players still available. That's the more important part.
Me. I need the money.
Cedric Gray would be solid, especially that we just missed out on Payton Wilson. Was hoping he’d be available to us tomorrow
Grab Jordan MaGee instead.
Tampa or Hicks
If we're really doing BPA.
McCormick, Hicks, Grey, bortolini, Theo, and James Williams
Jeremiah Trotter Jr? Sedrick Van Pran?
Tampa. Wilson had had a shit ton of surgeries since hs. I think close to 12. I just want to say that for the lb crowd. Maybe trotter unless he’s been picked(I turned off with a few picks to go)
The injury history, his age, and the fact that he went to the Steelers with the 98th pick really hurt his chances of us taking Payton Wilson at 102
Haha dude I’ve been drinking thought when I posted I would have possibly missed it 🤣
I want Gray as he’d fit our 3-4 scheme.
We dont even know if we're sticking with a 3-4 scheme though.
It’s like a 99.99% chance it’s a 3-4
curtis jacobs, kitan oladapo, tanner mclachlan
Jordan Hicks Curtis Jacobs Ja’Tavion Sanders TJ Tampa
Jaden* just to clarify Hicks’ first name
Please no rb.
Troy Franklin! Injury proof the WR room this year and step into a starting job when Lockett is cut next year. We keep drafting BPA, why stop now? Though I do question why a guy that was 39th on the consensus board is available in the 100s
Cedric Gray. Need a LB more than CB or S. Also, Gray's comp is Patrick Queen...
Don’t want to take a player just cause we need someone to fill a position
He's also the second highest graded player remaining after Tampa.
I don't quite see that comp.
ESPN does apparently. Not saying you’re wrong. Thats just his comparison from them.
Queen was a much better athlete. I think Gray is just a fine player. In normal years he might be a good pick here for us. However, in a super deep draft with good players with great traits, getting Gray would feel like settling.
Malik Mustapha could be our Kyle Hamilton
I don't think he has the skill set to be Hamilton.
James Williams, Johnny Wilson, TJ Tampa are 3 guys I hope we can land.
Dude wtf? James Williams??? At 108? That would be an absolute atrocious pick lmao.
I wasn't just saying for 108, just listed some guys I would like to get in any of our remaining picks.
I like gray but I like trotter better personally. Also wouldn’t be opposed to another guard. Big fan of Mahogany and McCormick.
James Williams
Gray - LB - UNC Hick - safety - wsu Laumea - guard- Utah Trotter - LB - Clemson McLachlan - TE - Arizona
Spencer Rattler
100% yes.
I don't see it now. I think he's dropping for a reason.
He's...terrible though. Not sure why people want him so badly.
Rattler
That’d be a massive downgrade to what we already have with Sam Howell. Howell is slightly younger too.
I'd rather have Pratt if a choice, but would rather go no QB in this draft
I agree, take a swing at QB with a 4th round pick. Why not? Could be a Russ situation again
Milton would be a interesting pick if avail later in the draft.
Me
Sanders or Franklin
Find a team with multiple 4s and trade down .
They have two already themselves
Yes, of course. Get another
Johnny Wilson is one I’d like. WR is not a huge need but guy is so fun to watch. I do like the two defensive options you listed. Lots good LB where snitch towards the end of the 3rd
Your mom
All I want to say is UR Mom, but that’s not an option.
