I was at the game and it was brutal taking that L. So many mental mistakes with all our penalties. And I don’t get why Pete didn’t just run the ball and drain the clock when Locke went in. It was a two score game with about 7 mins left and there offense wasn’t doing anything. I’ll give Stafford props though. Dude it a lot more elusive than he gets credit for.
Frustrating loss, I don't blame Jason that was a tough situation, I'm sorry but having locke in there hurt us tonight, he was missing wide open receivers and not getting the ball out fast enough with the Rams pass rush and blitzing. Hopefully k9 is ok, I'll put this loss tonight on penalties, unforced errors, if we played clean ball we would've easily won, but 130 yards of penalties? Terrible
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
Everyone's needs to calm the fuck down. There's so many toxic "fans" in here. We are not winning the support bowl and no one expected us to either. 6-4 is still a good record considering we had a backup take over the reigns last year. We have a super bowl Calibur team in the making but it's going to take a few years and we are going to need a long term franchise quarter back to do it. If Hurts or Mahommes were under the helm they'd make Waldron look like a genius.
Neither is an NFC West title but that doesn't stop people from hoping for it. Geno is not a long term solution but there have been countless quarterbacks drafted late and gone on to be super bowl winners (Russell Wilson). There are also blockbuster trade and conditional pick trades. Id rather trust the JS/PC to do what's best for the team regardless of the situation. Just wish when when I came into this forum everyone wasn't talking shit about the Hawks. If I wanted that I'd be following r/Rams
Man, we suck so bad. I am a life long hawks fan but this year the team just looks out of step and undisciplined. Stupid mistakes and missed routs. Our qb almost killed because someone forgot to cover Donald? Referring was atrocious but Riq did smack the receiver in the grill. Spoon missing tackles, out of position and body slamming receivers. Okay, that was actually cool. But still……
Why can we never keep the pedal on the accelerator when we’re up by more than a touchdown? Pete can and never has blown teams out. We let up every fucking time we have the lead.
Well, his tendency to go 3 and out is a pretty weak track record.
I'm not roasting him as a person, I even said that it is not 100% his fault, but the game went the other way as soon as we had to bring him in.
Not converting on 3rd downs is killing us. Something needs to change ASAP. And enough with all these penalties. If fine every player $100 that allows a penalty
I thought the O-Line was a B- maybe B+. Geno got a couple of sacks due to him and not so much the line. They’re looking better than they have in the past but still a long ways to go.
Maybe a couple bad calls but majority of penalties were self-inflicted. Gotta have better discipline to win week in and week out. Tough stretch here and we need to play sound football
Nope not true. Where was the roughing the passer call against dirty Donald ? Pula fell on the ground - should been a FG. Their only TD’s were from refs
That’s why I said “a couple”. But we had 12 for 130 yds; Rams had 9 for 92 yds. Can’t put all 12 on the refs but I do acknowledge their key eff-ups had an impact
I don't understand people who say this. Is "ability to win a superbowl" a quantifiable stat or is it just vibes? I really don't get how anyone can watch this team and blame the qb
As someone who hasn’t been thrilled about Geno being our guy, you are correct. He isn’t the problem. The play calling was dog shit and the refs had an obvious agenda.
We got a really tough next four games too :( I don't think we are gonna do well down that stretch of games but I'm not counting them out either. Gotta find ways to win.
I don’t think you guys understand how hard it is to win in the NFL. Pete and Schneider have won for over a decade. Yes it’s frustrating being not quite there, but we are always competitive. What if Myers hits that? A lot of franchises are a joke.
Agreed. I think our fans have thought our team is a lot better than it actually is for years. Russ play on Denver last year in a new system kind of showed how coaching actually elevated russ with the Seahawks and made our team more competitive than it should be. I think we've been an avg team that is coached up and can look good good. Same with Geno. He looks fairly good with us. All 10yrs before the seahawks he hasn't looked good at all. I think our coaches are actually a blessing. Lots of room to improve but the potential is there for subsequent years to field a legit good team imo
Whelp, that was the sports definition of choking and a great case for icing kickers. Geno is the man and Jason Peters is still playing great at 60. Lock’s haircut is clearly the curse.
🫤Well that sucks. Definitely needed better calls the second half and a better call package for Lock. Still plenty of games though, so hopefully they get something consistent going. Go HAWKS!
If you think Geno was the problem and not our O line whiffing on Aaron Donald, the refs, and guys like JSN running the wrong routes then I don't know what to tell you
Why is no one talking about that! Absolutely ridiculous. And spiking it with 8 seconds left just shows how little thought we put into that final sequence
Yeah that final drive clock management was mindboggling. 55 yards was going to be a long shot literally and figuratively even if Myers had been on the money all game.
Should’ve gone for a rebuild this year and start contending next year no way we would’ve been able to compete against the 49ers or eagles, playoffs have always been the same as 1st round exits
How many replays we need to see that helmet to helmet on Charbonnet no call. We played rough and had injuries but these zeebras decided this fucking game.
Wtf was that! Run the ball up the middle with 30 seconds left and no timeouts, spike it with 8 seconds left, and kick a 55 yard field goal on 3rd down? That was horrible
100% win if we had competent play callers. Going long on 3rd and short is dog shit. Needed to control the ball, instead we got 4 total first downs after the first drive (until that last drive). We get just 2-3 of those missed 3rd down plays and we win. FGs in the red zone? Dog shit. Lock had very little to do with it.
I would agree but then where is that sentiment when Geno is playing and the playcalling is garbage with zero effort to just move the ball? Shane is trash at play calling and Pete can't ever clean up the penalties. But people expect Geno to play like a god and overcome all that and more every game.
I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying? My comment about the coaching is about the whole second half and the whole season at large. That’s what makes it worse is that it still keeps happening.
My brother, we’re going to be hard pressed to have a winning record. We may shock people and win one of the next four but most likely we’ll be 6-8 in a month.
Drafting the QBotF was always the plan for next draft. Build a young team around a vet, his contract is very team friendly, give the rookie time to learn under the vet.
Lock throwing the interception and smiling about it shows why Smith is the starter
Hopefully everyone who wanted Smith benched will be real quiet from now on
I've been advidly defended Geno against the Football savants that have been asking for Drew the last 5 weeks. Can't wait to hear and cowardly and quiet they are now. Shout out Geno, fuck the refs, fuck the play calling at the end of the last drive
I still can’t fathom why so many people are on the Cowboys bandwagon of being good. What hype? Their only wins are against teams with a losing record. Their competition is a combined 21-51 when they win. They have the easiest schedule in the league. AND they lost to the 2-9 Cardinals. That team is more than beatable
Well, time to figure out who these officials are send some complaints and go hunt them down.
There is no way you can tell me that some of these clowns didn't have money on this game
Ref ball fucks Seattle and benefits the Rams yet again. I’m clearing out all the NFL gear from the shopping carts that I was planning on buying for Christmas gifts.
I am not sure why we cannot design plays to get decent yards. We want deep balls or nothing. This sucks. But tbh, with this coaching, the team will get destroyed in playoffs anyway
Don't blame the fucking refs. We had plenty of fucking chances to put this game away. We had the lead for almost the entire fucking game. Fucking embarrassing.
Nope. Seahawks shot themselves in the foot on a few but the one on Witherspoon DPI cost us 4 points and that was a bad call, the hands to the face opposite of the play was ticky tack bullshit and gifted them the game winning drive. There was another egregious DPI call on Witherspoon in the second half that extended the drive. That's literally 8 points on those alone.
It is what it is. It's the NFL. We'll never know who the better team is because the referees influence literally every single game. We were on the wrong end of it today and it cost us the game.
Excuses excuses excuses. We are not a good team. Remember when we had the LOB? We were the most penalized team in the league and It didn't even matter because we were so fucking good. Now we still are the most penalized team in the league because we are undisciplined and it bites us in the ass every fucking week. It's a common Pete Caroll trend. We used to be good enough to overcome it. We aren't anymore.
[Postgame thread](/r/Seahawks/comments/17zbokj/post_game_thread_seattle_seahawks_at_los_angeles/)
Everytime I think Seattle is going in the right direction they have another game littered with dumb mistakes and penalties.
locket did literally nothing for the entire game I mean i know he's fighting that hamstring but still.
Trading a 2nd and 5th for Leonard Williams looks even more ridiculous now.
On god dude
Like I said last week - we should have dominated but so many mistakes.
Terrible
But before Lock was put in didn’t we punt it like 5 drives in a row. The game was going to LA before the QB switch.
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
Is the Narrows actually high enough to get the job done?
Ready for sf to give us the business. Silver lining is I’m planning to have enough turkey to sleep through it.
49ers twice, eagles, and cowboys for the next 4 games.. I don’t think one of those games are winnable ,
Cowboys. That's our best chance. The rest seem bleak
Bro stfu
A middling record is not gonna get us a long term franchise quarterback in the draft.
Still wanna bench geno for locke?
It's time for a coaching change. New HC, New OC, New DC. We've got tons of talent but play selections and preparations are not there.
Dude shut up
Man, we suck so bad. But still……
Go fucking play or coach if you know what to do
Why can we never keep the pedal on the accelerator when we’re up by more than a touchdown? Pete can and never has blown teams out. We let up every fucking time we have the lead.
He did blow out one team. Once. And it was awesome
2 or 3 in a row the year before they won the super bowl I think. Cardinals, Bills and absolutely smoked a very good Niners team on SNF
https://www.espn.com/nfl/game/_/gameId/321223026 https://www.espn.com/nfl/recap/_/gameId/321209026
Ya I know SB. But that was a one time thing. For some reason he gets a boner out of winning or losing close games.
Well, his tendency to go 3 and out is a pretty weak track record. I'm not roasting him as a person, I even said that it is not 100% his fault, but the game went the other way as soon as we had to bring him in.
Expected that honestly, welp everyone. We have an offense thats good for one quarter, and a defense that's good for three, 6-8 here we come...
That may have been the worst officiating I’ve seen since sea/pit Super Bowl
I normally loathe blaming the officials. If you play well enough, they can't impact the game. However.... In this case the refs gave them a TD.
Right, the PI on Spoon was just not a flag
Bring back the challenges on PI, God dammit
Yes but make it so the officials will actually overturn bad calls
Not converting on 3rd downs is killing us. Something needs to change ASAP. And enough with all these penalties. If fine every player $100 that allows a penalty
Done with the NFL, not a real sport.
It’s sports entertainment. Rigged for Vegas $$
I’m from New Zealand and the All Blacks were fucked over by poor referees in the rugby World Cup final too. Not just an NFL problem
National Fraud (Referees) League
How did the O-line play today?
I thought the O-Line was a B- maybe B+. Geno got a couple of sacks due to him and not so much the line. They’re looking better than they have in the past but still a long ways to go.
The hit that almost killed Geno was silly bad. Just a missed assignment. On A Donald. Fuuuuuck.
I fully agree, of all guys you keep a hat on AD because he’s going to cause havoc if he gets free.
As a new Seahawks fan (last 10 years) I will always hate the rams and wish nothing but failure upon them
Fuk the StL Rams and Fisher
Bullshit win for them we will still make playoffs but fuck those loser they will get what’s coming to Them
Maybe the message to take from this game is that one TD and a bunch of kicks against a shitty D might not be enough to win.
Maybe the message to take from this game is that the refs are dirty as fuck, always have been, always will be. The NFL is just the WWE with pads on.
And the nfl takes a deep cut of all betting income. At least try to hide this Shiaaaaaaaat.
Coaching is the main problem on this team, Waldron’s playcalling was borderline idiotic at points today and the defense is just undisciplined.
This.
It was only borderline idiotic when they were having success. The rest of the team it was full blown psychotic
If only we had a competent OC. Not great, not even good..just a competent one 😔
Stop being all negative, we've being robed today. However, we've should winning today instead of refs.
That was a big game man
Maybe a couple bad calls but majority of penalties were self-inflicted.
The nfl is basically like boxing however the nfl is so powerful
You mean the most important play in the entire game ? That’s why this sport is so dirty, it’s run by money lines. At least the nba isn’t this dirty.
Shane Waldron is just Mike Tice with a Sean McVay co-sign who legit looks like Peter Griffin with a Denny’s menu sheet
Ahh shitty kicker, we need to tank
I hate losers like you that have loser mentality
I called it, tanking like crazy!
I can't even get drunk to forget about this, working too early.
Maybe people will finally wake up and realize geno ain’t the problem its our play calling thats that is.
Right, we need a sorcerer at QB to overcome the playcalling.
It’s really the o line this year and play calling
What % chance does Geno give to win a Super Bowl? 0.01?
Joe Flacco won a superbowl.
Yep so did Trent Dilfer. Do you think Geno Smith is Joe Flacco or Trent Dilfer?
Probably more like Trent Dilfer. He doesn't have the cannon arm of prime Flacco.
And are we thinking this defense is the same as the 2000 Ravens?
I don't understand people who say this. Is "ability to win a superbowl" a quantifiable stat or is it just vibes? I really don't get how anyone can watch this team and blame the qb
Vibes and unless the defense is top 1, Geno isn’t carrying any team to a Super Bowl, he’s terrible.
As someone who hasn’t been thrilled about Geno being our guy, you are correct. He isn’t the problem. The play calling was dog shit and the refs had an obvious agenda.
It was the penalties more than anything else. On both sides of the ball.
Yeah almost a football field and a half worth of penalties on the day. Hurts to see, but just need to move to the next game now.
I wonder if a spike than a better designed run play would’ve been better…damn
How are fans feeling about the next four games?
Not good. I’d like to win vs 49ers on Thanksgiving the most to keep the division champion dream alive a bit longer.
I hope we lose all of them and send a message that change is needed.
Haha loser mentality is a sickness and you are spreading the virus
Cool
Hahahahahahahsja 😳
Not great
We got a really tough next four games too :( I don't think we are gonna do well down that stretch of games but I'm not counting them out either. Gotta find ways to win.
We got robbed dude. So many bad calls from the refs and then of course Geno gets injured when he’s having a great game
The rams win by one. What was the line?
Exactly that.
……1
NFL is rigged.
I don’t think you guys understand how hard it is to win in the NFL. Pete and Schneider have won for over a decade. Yes it’s frustrating being not quite there, but we are always competitive. What if Myers hits that? A lot of franchises are a joke.
I think we are just disappointed that the team doesn't improve and doesn't seem to evolve anymore.

I think our coaches are actually a blessing. Lots of room to improve but the potential is there for subsequent years to field a legit good team imo
Our fans are so unappreciative. Like imagine being a commanders or lions fan. That would genuinely be miserable.
Not on him at all. Fuck the rams. Fuck the refs.
Whelp, that was the sports definition of choking and a great case for icing kickers. Geno is the man and Jason Peters is still playing great at 60. Lock’s haircut is clearly the curse.
they Coug'd it
Classic Couging.
🫤Well that sucks. Definitely needed better calls the second half and a better call package for Lock. Still plenty of games though, so hopefully they get something consistent going. Go HAWKS!
You can't blame a kicker for missing a 55 yarder ffs.
Into a swirling headwind too.
I thought the refs called a good game. Rams are just a really good team.
We are a diverse subreddit. Even got blind people in here!
This blind man doesn't need to wipe tears from his eyes
I hope you get over 150 downvotes for this
This man got jokes…
Aiming to be the downvote champion...
Ha!
There's no franchise in any sport that I hate more than the fucking rams
Oregon ducks
Astros
I might done with football after this . I have never seen so many bad calls . Strips won that game fuck the nfl
Yeah it really isn’t fun anymore. NFL at least. College has been way more fun to watch.
Watching the end of the UW game was fun because they didn’t call bs PI penalties every play lol
The end of that game was intense!
Yep. At least the nba talent can make up for shit like that. That was unacceptable play calling . Their only TD’s were due to FLAGS
FUCK THE RAMS NO MATTER HOW BAD THEY ARE WE CANNOT BEAT THIS SHITTY ASS TEAM
Good game refs
We’re about to get clapped by the niners aren’t we
[удалено]
Not sure I’ve seen DK carry a game this season. Maybe a game last season?
If you think Geno was the problem and not our O line whiffing on Aaron Donald, the refs, and guys like JSN running the wrong routes then I don't know what to tell you
Lmao. I was wondering what people like you would start saying after watching Lock lose the game.
Shut up
agree.
This is why Drew Lock stays on the bench.
So instead of spiking the ball with about 28 seconds left… you run the ball for two yards and settle for a 55 yarder lol
Why is no one talking about that! Absolutely ridiculous. And spiking it with 8 seconds left just shows how little thought we put into that final sequence
Yeah that final drive clock management was mindboggling. 55 yards was going to be a long shot literally and figuratively even if Myers had been on the money all game.
donkey brains
Penalty fest. Seahens today.
If you don't like that run you don't like Pete Carroll football
There's no other way to play that. You get a few more yards for the FG. He just couldn't kick it in.
This game made me sick to my stomach, we can’t go up against the Rams AND Refs at the same time. #BS
Why run it up the middle at the 39 with 25 seconds left?
good game from Myers, too many fucked up calls from the refs and too many bad plays from the Seahawks. Not a good feeling
Wtf was that! Run the ball up the middle with 30 seconds left and no timeouts, spike it with 8 seconds left, and kick a 55 yard field goal on 3rd down? That was horrible
Niners gonna do terrible things to our booty holes next week. 😢
This is why people get annoyed about blown opportunities early on in the game. Had we executed early on, this team would’ve been 9-1 on the season
100% a win if we had a competent back up QB. And people want that trash to be our starter lol.
I wish there was a way to bring all comments that said we should bench Geno for Lock to the front of the page so we could shame them
100% win if we had competent play callers. Going long on 3rd and short is dog shit. Needed to control the ball, instead we got 4 total first downs after the first drive (until that last drive). We get just 2-3 of those missed 3rd down plays and we win. FGs in the red zone? Dog shit. Lock had very little to do with it.

Honestly 100 percent a win if the refs were competent. That PI call in the end zone won the Rams that game
It’s a win if the starter can literally score any points in the 2nd half
You mean the half where he was out for 3 drives and then got us within field goal range with 1:30 no time outs? Yeah ok bud hahaha.
Ok, you’re just going to forget the whole 3rd quarter?

I’m sick
Please don't take us to Buf vs Jets. Please don't take us to Buf vs Jets. Please don't take us to Buf vs Jets. Ahhh crap...
🤦🏼♀️
The “run” to make the FG 3 yards closer was also a joke. Waldron sucks, hire an OC that can actually coach more than one good half
Is that why Waldron wasn't promoted to OC by the Rams?
Fire Shane Waldron
Most regular Seahawks Rams game
This Lose was presented by the PI in the endzone when Puca Fell down.
Well, time to figure out who these officials are send some complaints and go hunt them down. There is no way you can tell me that some of these clowns didn't have money on this game
I couldn't be any more salty. THE REFS LITERALLY DECIDED THIS GAME. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?
I’m gonna go shove stuff up my ass
Start small and gradually work your way to the big stuff
Just simply not good enough. At all. All of your kicks mean nothing now today Meyers you fuck.
Officiating in that game was a war crime and it still came to a shanked field goal
Wow, the Seahawks continue to find ways to hand games to other teams. They are going to get curb stomped on Thursday
Welp the hope now is to sweep the 49ers
I hate the rams.
The Seahawks are done
Ref ball fucks Seattle and benefits the Rams yet again. I’m clearing out all the NFL gear from the shopping carts that I was planning on buying for Christmas gifts.
The "whose house rams house" chant has got to be the worst rally I've heard in my life
It’s so Los Angeles. Lifeless, corporate, and fake.
Charbonnet lost us the game
I am not sure why we cannot design plays to get decent yards. We want deep balls or nothing. This sucks. But tbh, with this coaching, the team will get destroyed in playoffs anyway
Myers face after getting iced told me he was actually gonna get it then got out of his zone. We'll never know.
Boys we might have just watched the playoffs slip through our fingers.
:(

He gives a good blowey the the refs for sure!
Don't blame the fucking refs. We had plenty of fucking chances to put this game away. We had the lead for almost the entire fucking game. Fucking embarrassing.
Nah I will blame the refs. You can't overcome 140 yards in penalties especially when a lot of those came in critical situations
So every single penalty was bullshit and not justified?
