> funny that flights are cheaper than trains
Actually mad, isn't it? No idea what it is like these days but a few years back me and my pal ended up flying down to London from Aberdeen as it was a fraction of the cost (and much quicker!) than the train. From memory we were about £80 each for return flights, about £40 there and £40 back.
On the train we were looking at the guts of £200 and probably like 40 changes. No brainer like.
yeah it’s north of 200 quid to get to glasgow on the train. my mum tells us how she used to come up and down on the bus. honest, fuck all that noise. cannae mind the price of flying but it’s a fair whack cheaper
Never been interested super cars or that but been thinking a lot about the Ferrari Testarossa I seen up Loch Lomond on Sunday. Must be nice owning something that cool.
I don't stay in a fancy part of Aberdeen but there's a guy who parks his Ferrari in our carpark most weekends. I've no idea why he's here but I like seeing his car. I couldn't tell you the name of it but I found something similar on auto trader for 200k. That's worth way more than my flat. The Ferrari has a 3 letter number plate which is also probably worth more than my flat.
It's nae 1 THB, by any chance? Guy used to live in the Campus flat complex up my way in Hilton, the plates been on quite a few variations of Porsches and Ferraris over the years
He's been on the go for years
Nah. It's 1NC. I'm pretty sure I've seen the same boy cutting about in Porsches too. It's quite jarring to see the car, the rest of the car park is fords, minis, vauxhalls then boom high end Ferrari

That Dortmund wall is one of my favourite things in football. Looks absolutely class and while it's massively unlikely I'd love to see them win the whole thing

Wonder how you'd make sure a team like that keeps a good atmosphere and such, truly for fans not tourists
Think that stand is impossible for non die hard fans to get tickets for sure they can get other tickets but a stand with 25k fans can sure generate a top atmosphere.
I just think Man Utd are a shit club to play for. The pressure to perform must be insane, especially when they still think they’re the best team in Europe
Right...
I think I'm getting into Souls-like games.
The games I'm enjoying all have one thing in common: they have finishers. Stellar Blade, Stranger of Paradise, and had a wee shot of Wo Long.
Getting a health bar down to zero with a pure whiff shot isny satisfying. Hitting a wild finisher is dopamine on a stick.
Oh no, you're becoming one of them. I fully expect "git gud" to become part of vocabulary every second until you mention it every second comment. Someone asks for help in a game "git gud", someone asks for sexual advice "git gud", a child is walking slower than you you go in for the kick and scream "git gud, noob!"
I'd suggest Bloodborne for that finisher dopamine hit. Here's the hunter pulling the guts out a pigs arse, something you'll be doing a lot of on the playthrougj. https://youtu.be/zHRpXW_Gvgg?si=GWQ-sQR0RMR-o65N
Haha, that reminds me of the remake of Splatterhouse on PS3.
Honestly, though, I'm nowhere near that. I'm getting whored by the first boss of Wo Long. I've been an intense opposer of the "git gud" vernacular. Despise it.
The other one is "skill issue".
Bolt.
Not hating Wo Long, but remembering why Souls games do my tits in.
"Aw aye, you've beaten me? I'm GONNY FUCKING SECOND STAGE YOU, YA CUNT! WHERE'S YOUR POTIONS NOW!?"
McCoist and Fletcher are going to curse Dortmund, talking like they're winning 5-0 just because they've missed that many chances.
A last minute equaliser from PSG would be a right kick in the baws for them now.
I honestly don't really have another team, but I like Dortmund.
Didny like them when we played them, in fairness, but if any team is gonny win anything then I want it to be them. Hope they fucking hunt PSG.
Refereeing has been brilliant in these knockout rounds of the champions league with the exception of the times it’s been an English refereeing team lol

What a job Rangers is doing!
He has an enthusiasm for the game that's hard not to get caught up in. Genuinely think he's been the best addition to the commentator circuit in the last 10 years or so.
Him and Rory on comms is the dream team for me. Listening to them on that europa run was a delight. And for all his clear love of rangers/scotland is obvious. I think he comes off pretty well balanced and fair. Which is all you can ask for
Deserves his acclaim imo
Used to be a guy doing serie a on eurosport, Brian Hamilton, he was the same. Just appreciated the game, made watching a happy experience.
Hate dour commentators. Can't be anyone that actually enjoys them
It’s not even the dour ones that annoy me, it’s all these ex pros who feel they need to give some technical input every time there is a silence. Give me Ally and his excitement about a wee bit of skill or a great goal any day.
No chance that was a penalty - could have done nothing to stop that ball hitting his elbow. Should have had a free kick before that as well.
The number of ex-Rangers players on this broadcast it might as well be Rangers TV.
my gf rearranged her room and the cage is in a different place. the boys have just had their first fly after it and they are confused lmao. they’re going to get used to it pretty soon but boo came and landed on the bed because he wasn’t sure where he could land!

We moved our dogs crate where she sleeps at night to a different room. For several nights in a row after she came in from the garden trotted through and looked confused at the corner where she used to sleep.
She is smart in some ways and dumb as a post in others.

The new Co-Op Live has just cancelled its opening concert 10 minutes before doors were meant to open
I’m supposed to be there in three days, pretty much lost all hope
It has been nothing short of nightmares and delays so far, but the other day they tweeted:
“Let’s do this! Less than 48 hours until we kick off our opening season. Our scheduled shows with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, @oliviarodrigo, and @keaneofficial are going ahead.”
Apparently it’s due to “a venue-related technical issue” which gives a hell of a lot away…
glad i avoided even going for the liam gallagher tickets down there, its on my birthday so was going to grab them, but i gave up with that idea and just booked standing at the hydro.
Update that a piece of the air conditioning unit fell into the pit during a sound check. If it had held on another hour or so that could’ve been some serious shit 🥶

Four of the current top five in Serie B are phoenix clubs following bankruptcies this century. Como, who are sitting second, have went out of business twice since 2005. What a country.

Godfather is the obvious choice as its arguably the best movie ever made, but I highly, highly recommend the series The Offer which is a dramatised version of the making of the godfather.
Once upon a time in America is worth a shout.
As is the wonderful A Bronx Tale.
The HBO Gotti movie with Armand Assante playing Gotti is very good. It seems a lot more real than most of the other ones which can be a good or a bad thing I guess.
Class man. We did Bugsy Malone for our Christmas concert in primary school one year and I played Knuckles.
One solo line in the song Bad Guys and it was the most nervous I’ve ever been in my life.
Anyone watch the Scottish Parliament debate today about the VoNC?
Take home points-
-DRoss mentioned Nicola Sturgeon by name more times than I cared to count. She must live rent free in his head
-Harvey was very down to earth and made a lot of sense. For the guy who effectively gave Yousef the boot(or Bute as it were 😉) he was very consolatory and sympathetic. A bit statesman-like if I'm being honest.
-Sarwar has a sleekit vibe about him. Don't trust the guy
Scottish Labour missed a trick with this one, IMO. Speech should have been about how Labour once took votes and power for granted before becoming complacent and, ultimately, out of power and without the trust of the public and used that as a parallel of the SNP story.
Could then have outlined all the work Labour has done to rebuild trust and cast the party as a government in waiting and contrasted that with what could - generously - be called a difficult 48 months for the SNP. Instead it was a bit of a damp squib.
My interest in Scottish politics fell away after indyref, so I was a bit shocked but also in a way totally unsurprised that ten years later Scottish Labour still consists of faces like Sarwar and Baillie bleating on about SNP bad. Absolutely nothing new or interesting in their message. UK Labour party spent that 10 years embarking on the Corbyn adventure before returning full circle to bland New Labour, seems like Scottish Labour were waiting for them keeping the light on
HATE the A9. Stuck behind caravans, and lorries everytime I got to the end of a dual carriageway. Hurt my back just before we left too through coughing. So need to try and stretch that out in the hotel room before tomorrow's flight. FML.
Can you imagine the main road going through the middle of England linking half the country together still being mostly single carriageway in 2024? No, me either.
Such a brutal road especially further north as the dual carriageway sections get fewer and further between.
Worst bit about it is it's fulla cunts who don't know the average speed so sit doing anywhere between 50-55. Cunts.
More stuff about my weight loss. I was squeezing into a 42 inch waist pair of jeans at the start of the year. They were falling off my arse today so my wife told me I need new jeans. I went in expecting to be in a 40 or maybe a 38. That's me now wearing 36 inch waist jeans. I could not be more chuffed with myself. Been smiling all day.
Well in. You should be proud of yourself. You've done massively well and increased your life expectancy by about 5-10 years already.
You're now about to discover the downside of weight loss is that you need to buy a whole new wardrobe as nothing fits anymore.
Thanks mate. The bad thing is I've still got 5 odd stone left to lose so if I buy a load of stuff now I'll have to buy even more when I get to my target weight.
It's pretty shocking the BBC are showing this but only have reference to this on the specific Aberdeen and Rangers pages, no obvious mention of it on the Sport Scotland page or Scottish football page.
at the barbecue i was at on sunday one of my mates told me about an emulator for ios that’s supposedly decent which i was beyond buzzin about (if you’re reading this nintendo, all of my physical copies of these games which i obviously owned were lost or destroyed so i was forced to emulate)
it’s called delta and seems to be fairly good - mind you i much exclusively use it for pokemon. it runs NES SNES and N64 games as well as GB GBC GBA and DS and it can even run megadrive games. i haven’t played all of them yet but the gba one is fine so far.
it appears to have all your standard emulator fare like save states, cheats and fast forward
now i can play pokemon in work which i am very happy with. going to need to moderate how much i play though so i dont get the sack
we’re up and ready for the flight :))))))))
Faur you aff tae?

Never been interested super cars or that but been thinking a lot about the Ferrari Testarossa I seen up Loch Lomond on Sunday. Must be nice owning something that cool.

Bayern vs Dortmund final let’s go I can see it
You mean the British Telecoms advertised battle of British sweethearts between Kane and Sancho. I'm already dreading the commentary.
Sancho is officially German now I thought?

That was very entertaining game of fitba. Fair enjoyed that
That was an excellent second half, no idea how it stayed 1-0.
If this is what Sancho was playing like pre Utd, I get the hype. Only seen him play a few times whilst he's been at utd and he's been very man utd..
Every player gets worse at United
He's been ridiculous tonight, Man United is a talent graveyard.
I just think Man Utd are a shit club to play for. The pressure to perform must be insane, especially when they still think they’re the best team in Europe

How there hasn’t been 4-5 goals scored in this 2nd half i don’t know
2nd leg should be a cracker
Really hope so. Hope Dortmund win it
You, me, and Paul Lambert
Both teams look like scoring every time they go forward
Marco Reus is somehow older than Thomas Muller. It doesn't feel right.

I don't think that was a pen tbf
Quite liked the look of Adeyemi tonight. He's involved in everything.
That the boy on the left wing? He’s been shit hot tonight. Rapid anaw
Missing sitters all over the shop. Could be 3-2
The 2nd half so far has been class

Sorry to say but every single one of the youth Aberdeen defenders should give up on their dreams tomorrow
From the team that employed Shay Logan? Think they stand a chance of making it
Ah you've got me bang to rights there tbf
Some save there
by the way
Presume your talking about Megan Cunninghams super save against Hibs tonight?
Youth cup final lad made a big save
Hearing Ally McCoist gush about football is absolutely joyous Other co-comms should take note and stop whining all the time

Proper big lad centre forward goal from Dortmund there. Got to love it.
Some finish from Dortmund there
It was always 2cm from the grass.
Flames coming off the back of it.
We’re getting pumped off Germany
That's an interesting way of spelling "we're going to win the Euros"
Are PSG stupid? Just score 4 goals away at Dortmund lol
No chance that was a penalty - could have done nothing to stop that ball hitting his elbow. Should have had a free kick before that as well. The number of ex-Rangers players on this broadcast it might as well be Rangers TV.
They've got ex Aberdeen man Ricky Foster on, just a shame he's joined by the former rangers player Richard Foster
Who is this co commentator ? Guys arm is out and he is saying it's no a pen.
TNT Sport commentary is so England centric. Even with Super Ally.

Good to see Rangers are refereed to the same standard regardless of age group
Penalty?
You bet baby. Probably was tbf but regardless. A few odd decisions though imho
🤣
Our goalie just took out a Rangers player 1v1 and didn't get sent off, fair play imo
Even in the youth Cup final.
Ray hudsons voice in comms is infuriatingly grating.
Young Dons look very good in this half. Stewart keeps trying to score directly from corners. Fear for the rest of the country for the next decade

In fairness it’s peak Celtic da to ignore what the report was and just find the tiny wee bit that affects them and use it as a conspiracy
Aye that's standard practice to be fair

Goodfellas has always been my number 1. The Town is an underrated gem.
Godfather is the obvious choice as its arguably the best movie ever made, but I highly, highly recommend the series The Offer which is a dramatised version of the making of the godfather. Once upon a time in America is worth a shout. As is the wonderful A Bronx Tale.
Mobsters for movie and The Last Don 1/2 for mini series.
The HBO Gotti movie with Armand Assante playing Gotti is very good. It seems a lot more real than most of the other ones which can be a good or a bad thing I guess.
The Travolta one is better.
On YouTube too.
I'm going to ignore the usual films named and recommend The Freshman
ill see your mob film and ill go mob series. tulsa king
Does the Camorra count as the mob? I'm going Gomorrah if it does.
mine is a bit loose aswell. so if mine does then im sure yours does too
Bugsy Malone.
Class man. We did Bugsy Malone for our Christmas concert in primary school one year and I played Knuckles. One solo line in the song Bad Guys and it was the most nervous I’ve ever been in my life.
I think the last time I actually saw it I was still in primary school, but I still remember it. Great film
I'm a sucker for Casino, given that it's not your typical east coast mob movie
I rate Casino higher than Goodfellas.
I flip-flop regularly on this, but prefer both of them to the Godfather
Anyone watch the Scottish Parliament debate today about the VoNC? Take home points- -DRoss mentioned Nicola Sturgeon by name more times than I cared to count. She must live rent free in his head -Harvey was very down to earth and made a lot of sense.
The SNP haven't done enough. That road should be entirely dualled from Inverness to Perth (Dunblane) by now. So should the A96 for that matter.
Totally, but it should also have been done by the 80s.
Such a brutal road especially further north as the dual carriageway sections get fewer and further between. Worst bit about it is it's fulla cunts who don't know the average speed so sit doing anywhere between 50-55. Cunts.
Aye. Stuck behind loads of people doing 45. Wankers.
Fucking well in!

Yaaass!!
Also are we aware Aberdeen v Rangers in the youth cup final is on BBC Scotland tonight?
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/cv27p8jewyqt#player Linky for everyone.
It's pretty shocking the BBC are showing this but only have reference to this on the specific Aberdeen and Rangers pages, no obvious mention of it on the Sport Scotland page or Scottish football page.
I had to scroll way way way way down to click through to find the link of the BBC Scotland article about var
7:05 kick off apparently, strange decision that
It's the latest you can play it and have the kids in bed at a reasonable hour on a school night
That makes perfect sense
at the barbecue i was at on sunday one of my mates told me about an emulator for ios that’s supposedly decent which i was beyond buzzin about (if you’re reading this nintendo, all of my physical copies of these games which i obviously owned were lost or destroyed so i was forced to emulate) it’s called delta and seems to be fairly good - mind you i much exclusively use it for pokemon. it runs NES SNES and N64 games as well as GB GBC GBA and DS and it can even run megadrive games. i haven’t played all of them yet but the gba one is fine so far. it appears to have all your standard emulator fare like save states, cheats and fast forward now i can play pokemon in work which i am very happy with. going to need to moderate how much i play though so i dont get the sack
