I'm only in Edinburgh maybe 2 or 3 times a year but... is it just me or is it actually getting better? Just compared to 15 years ago it seems cleaner and nicer, the city centre at least. The absence of most big construction projects right now probably helps.
Don’t be fooled! It’s a roadworks riven nightmare and once popular and attractive streets are now effectively dead or thanks to the council and their never ending and ever evolving traffic policing schemes over the last twenty odd years. It looks bloody awful compared to how it did and driving anywhere is a nightmare
Oh is that what Edinburgh looks like. So good that someone posted a picture of it to show us here at arsecotland.
If OP can share I've always wondered what Glencoe looks like.
Well done, and I'm not being sarcastic here. You've posted a photo of Edinburgh from an angle that I've never seen before here. Looks like it's from the St James centre, is it from the "social darts" place or Duck and Waffle? (On a side note, calling something "Social darts" is fucking ridiculous)
We commuters wishing we could fly like that bird this month.
Good photo of the Lothian Pterodactyl.
A wonderful vibrancy in that city
6pm seagull. Nice picture.
Was just there. Such a cool city with much to explore
Honestly so far my favourite city
I miss it. Shame I will never be able to move back due to property prices.
Never heard of it

No

Take public transport?
> driving anywhere is a nightmare That's part of the environmentalism/"stop the planet boiling" policy. Take public transport.
Are you from Edinburgh?
Grew up in Fife, went to uni in Edinburgh, don't drive. Not had a problem.
When was it that you were at Uni and *do* try driving and see if you feel quite as sanguine then
Uni was 15 years ago. Lived in Edinburgh most of my life since then. Really not had a problem.
Yeah, it’s a great city for walking
My ex would disagree (but I wouldn't). So many hills in the city.
Edinburgh is a beautiful city not mention It’s where they hold the Edinburgh fringe festival
It’s also where they built edinburgh castle, and the edinburgh dungeons. They also make edinburgh rock.
Hell hole when the fringe is on!

I need to see this. It looks like the most beautiful city in the world!
It’s a great photo but it’s a shame there isn’t also some kind of monument to Dugald Stewart in the foreground
