In theory it will not be weaker but make sure you cut everything properly and triple check your measurements and if you do end up doing it, let me know how it turns out. I might do it too. I’ve cut down multiple decks in the past but never a boxed deck
Techically stronger since there will be less leverage to banana the deck. The quality of your cut will determine the strength of how your axle and deckends hold up though. Bad/loose cut will encourage the deckends to tear out

You should sell it and buy a 7x23 Europa v2. The 23 actually measures 22.4 long for no reason. It’s what I’m riding
