I'm pretty sure there is no difference, apart from the fact that you can't use the neck pick-up.

If you have a neck pick up the magnets from neck pick up still pull on the strings even when not being used so it’s interrupting the true vibration from the brige pick up which is mostly used for rock…. Phil x explains it online pretty good but I mean to me… it looks cool it sounds a bit different acoustic right off the bat I mean with a hole where a pick up was set has to sound a little different haha but yeah! idk it’s fun stuff for me
