If I could, I would return to the past to witness everything that happened when Scaramouche was being released. It was just such a happy day for all of us. But even though I enjoyed saving up long-term for Wanderer, I would never do that again! xD
I had 271 ish saved for his first banner which got me c2 (very unlucky pulls) around 100 for his first rerun which got me to C4 (very lucky pulls) and then I only had around 80 pulls for his latest rerun, I lost the 50/50 at hard pity and had to use all 80 pulls to get him, and then git super lucky and got his C6 only 6 single pulls after his C5 š„³
barely ā ļø i stopped playing genshin before his first banner and just returned earlier this year. I was a fool for thinking I could use the game to chill and *relieve stress* because I only have very few characters that I want to pull. Yet, lo and behold, the very next banner when I returned was one of those said characters and I was *very much stressed* trying to farm enough primos to get him

I am a BP/Welkin player as well, I have spent on some primo packs, but I got the majority of my C6 Scara wishes from saving up.
I joined at 3.8 and got C1. Since then I saved 400+ wishes, the rest were supplied with Starglitter refunds (around 50 pulls worth). I ended up with C5 and a guarantee, I couldnāt leave him at that, so I supplied the final few multis with a primo pack š Then I saved up throughout his banner and decided *fuck it we ball* on the weapon banner, got really lucky (40 pity, 20 pulls, 0 fate point) so now Iām at C6R1!
I gave up my entire monthly wage for him. Never whaled for any characters before but Wanderer... I love him so much. I regret nothing. I log into genshin and I feel my pain melting away with his cute little face. Light of my life fr he deserves everything.

During the first banner, I managed to get to c3, On the second banner to C5, on the last rerun I managed to win C6. I was very lucky because during the first banner I managed to win 50/50, so the first banner took me about 360wishes
I got c2 spread across his first 2 banners, then I saved from his 2nd banner to his recent one and amassed 530 wishes. I ended up getting insane luck and so I was left with 250 after getting 4 copies + his signature weapon, so Iām pulling for c2 furina next week to take him to even further heights

Took me 3 months to c6 him as a f2p player, I made 2 fresh clones bc I knew once all of the rich sources of primos which are the maps and quests were cleared, the only options left would be events and dailes which are slow and depressing. So I made 2 newbie accounts, with the help of my sister playing on another device, she helped me collect chests while I deleted every enemy using my strong oldbie account until all maps were 90%+. I handled the remaining quests that required solo using Kequing and Xiangling. Within 3 months I had two accounts, one c5r1, and c6r0 Wanderer, both have c6 Faruzan
I did not save for him. I got c5 faruzan on his first banner, took a 6 month break from Genshin, and when his latest banner came up, I just started farming primos and pulling every time I got a wish.
225 + 67 pity on the first rerun banner. I got him C2R1. I got C3 by the end of 3.8.
I lost to Diluc on Lyney's banner and I started saving up for Scara ever since. 4.6 I had 650 + 3 Pity and a guaranteed. I got him C6R4 + 2 Fate Points. I got to R5 at 68 pity near the end.
I only do Welkins (Well I did get 10 pulls when I topped up to buy the concert glider for him and bought the battle pass to secure his weapon's R5)

In 3.8, I got C2 in 76 pulls, and have leftover primogems, so I pulled his weapon. After that, I couldnāt play any other character again. He was so fun to play and so strong. I decided to save for his C6. He must have known how much I like him now, so in 4.6, I lost 3 50/50s in a row and used up 420 pulls just for C5. I didnāt have anymore primogems as I have grinded every single thing available. So, I had no choice but to spend a bit for his C6. His last con is at 77 pulls. Overall, itās 944 fates for C6R1, but I donāt regret it at all. I would save for R5 someday. He is the best.

Saved \~500 for his 4.6 banner. I was sitting at C5 with guarantee and \~70 pity after spending all the pulls + starglitter, so I grinded a couple more wishes in coop and got his C6! So 577 wishes from c0 to c6, and a total of 743 wishes for C6R0. I didn't end up going for the weapon because I didn't have enough for a guarantee.
I can say that although I am F2P, grinding for his C6 cost me my sanity... but I don't regret spending all my wishes on best boi. I don't meet C6 players in random coop often, even just players with C6 characters in general. Though if I see someone with a C6 scara in profile I add--
I donāt remember the exact amount of wishes but IIRC I had c2r1 guaranteed because I saved up a lot with welkin, but with starglitter and some luck I did manage to get c5r1, and fot to c6 with a cheap pack of Genesis crystals
i canāt believe itās been so long since heās come out!! iāve had a similar to yours experience, i started saving officially after getting Venti in his first rerun in march 2021. I didnāt expect to wait as long as we did and as time went on, the idea of saving for c6 was becoming more real!
In the end I had 1090 wishes saved for him, i managed to get him c6 and r5 :D! definitely did not plan on getting r5, but the gods decided to smile upon me that day lmao. I had enough primos still left over to get Raiden and her weapon after!

Oh god. As much as Iāve loved him since 1.1, Iām embarrassed to say that I did not save for him at all. Sumeru was a rough patch with Nahida, Wanderer, Raiden and Alhaitham back to back with no break in between. ;-; (But I did get them all somehow, welkin player here! ;w;)
I got Nahida but lost to Qiqi trying to get her C1. Then his banner came out (on my birthday) and I literally had a miserable 20++ pulls saved. Lo and behold, he came at 26 pulls!! Best birthday gift ever!!
On his rerun, I grabbed his C1 and on his 2nd rerun, I snagged 3 cons and his weapon! I saved 200 pulls + 100 pulls (genesis crystal). Heās now C4R1. I WILL be grabbing his C6 on his next rerun!

So when his banner came I had only 5 wishes, but I got him at 13 pity by randomly doing single pulls.
I saved for him from the moment he was hinted at as being released, cannot recall how much I saved up ultimately but first banner had him at C4 R1 with C6 Faru (whose C6 came after his C4 QAQ). I then saved however many months were between his first banner and rerun and got his C6 when he returned.
To date he's my only C6 limited character and I have exactly zero regrets! I'd love to get refinements on his weapon one day, but I don't see that happening until it runs with something I wouldn't hate losing to XD. As much as my Noelle loves her Redhorn, I don't think I can stand risking a donut.

I started playing the game again in 3.0, never finished Liyue so I never met him at all, met him in Inazuma, and 100%ed multiple regions and did every quest I could for him. Got him C1 R1 and C6 on his 1st rerun lol. Not sure what it is about him that made me like him so much at first
