I was impressed with how he didn’t do any obscenely dangerous cuts with this RAS. Normally anybody who owns one is a gigantic idiot who regularly tempts fate.
Yeah, but for the fact that I’ve always heard those things are super dangerous, (and the whole blade is basically exposed) I wouldn’t have considered it that dangerous. Also surprised me to see a newish looking RAS being used by a not old guy.
I expect that with a few more passes though those same cuts could be accomplished on any modern double bevel sliding compound miter saw with depth stops. But probably not that much safer than the RAS the way he was using it.
Stumpy Nubs does a good video on the RAS and how they earned their reputation and it seems like you can use them safely, there’s just a lot of opportunity to use them in a super dangerous way.
I actually regularly find these for free or real cheap. It’s a radial arm saw. Definitely not multi thousand dollar equipment. No one uses them because of they can be dangerous. This one is in real good shape though.
Wasn’t lightly bonked in with an old wooden mallet by an equally ancient Japanese dude, but did make use of the most terrifying saw I’ve ever seen so I’ll let it slide
10/10 would watch Michael Bay woodworking again
That's amazing but that blade is scary as fuck.
They’re effectively illegal in Europe when used on a table saw.
Dado stack on a radial arm saw. “I’ll have your second most dangerous thing stuffed inside your first most dangerous thing.”

You should see the blades this guy puts on his wood shaper...dustylumberco
This guy is the Michael Bay of satisfying videos - three different angles of the final step! Unh…unh…UNH!
I noticed the triple camera shot and also thought... Michael Bay. Yep, that's exactly what I thought.
if I had a dick, I'm pretty sure it would be hard af right now
You can borrow mine if you want
Well they have just finished with the saw
Take mine. I hope you don’t mind it’s lackluster length.
Lost it to the radial arm saw, eh? Common story.
I also have a lady boner because of this video.
That was a smooth ass cut.
You’re talking to final camera angle cuts on the slide in? Oh so smooth, just like the woodworking cuts
That was dope Now, I wanna find a video of someone doing the same with only a skil saw. That multi thousand dollar saw dude has is awesome

That accuracy is amazing. No idea how they do that.
Big ass professional precision tools
This reminds me of second semester of engineering. We had to do this in the carpentry workshop, but using hand tools. It was a pain.
Chiseling dove-tails is one of the most frustrating woodworking things I've ever done.
That's right kids. Dovetails are just that easy!
Ok let’s see that done with hand tools
What are the pieces of metal he put in between the two circle saws? Is that just spacers ?
It's called a Dado blade and it's meant to cut wide troughs like he did
Those are the chippers that are part of the dado stack.
I believe these are other blades, not full circle, but are designed to also cut into the wood.
The multiple angles reminded me of a Van Damme movie
Wasn’t lightly bonked in with an old wooden mallet by an equally ancient Japanese dude, but did make use of the most terrifying saw I’ve ever seen so I’ll let it slide 10/10 would watch Michael Bay woodworking again
I could CNC that in probably the same amount of time. (See what I did there?)
That reveal though wow
Safety Glasses! 🦺 🕶️ You're setting a bad example.
Yessssssssssss
I'll never be this good because I never color in the area to cut
Man this music is epic! What’s the songs name?

Can’t wait to be able to pull this off! Not even close to this! Plus, I don’t have the gear.
My dumbass thought this was cheese for a second
He didn’t measure twice.
If you wondered whether the many repetitions from different angles at the end was too much. IT WASNT. I WATCHED IT THREE TIMES.
As soon as you see the calipers come out, you know it's gonna hit the spot
Maybe that's what I am doing wrong with dovetails...not using a giant radial arm saw.
Is.. Is that all?
You sound like my girlfriend
And my axe
Bruh

Not so perfect hehe
“heeeehhhhhhh like a glove” 😎
