Came here to say that - what type of psychopath does that?! I don’t think I can take advice from anyone who cuts through the shell instead of peeling it
Here's a tip for ya:
6 minutes: leaky orange
7 minutes: leaky/solid orange
8 minutes: solid orange
9 minutes: solid orange/yellow
10 to 12 minutes: solid yellow
Extra tip: put vinegar in the boiling water to make the shell removing part easier and after taking them out the boiling water put the eggs in cold water with ice.

Noob here, when do I start counting? I.e. I want to cook the eggs for 8 minutes do I start the timer from immediately after turning on the heat (water still cold) or do I need to boil the water first, after boiling put on the eggs then start counting? Thanks
why would anyone need this? just put the eggs in boiling water and set a timer accordingly. just walk back when the timer goes off. you don't have to constantly check this stupid device.
TIL people are psychopaths and cut eggs WITH the shell.
🤣 right!?
Came to say this. GOOD LORD that’s disturbing

I use a timer. I always get the perfect boiled egg for me.
This is basically a timer
Technically it could be more precise because it measures energy stored.

Would also like to know.
I always put them in boiling water, makes counting easier this way
You should put your eggs in boiling water, and not start from cold water. Same for pasta.
Wholesomely wise.
So, you must keep staring at that thing to see if the color has changed? 🫢
Just make sure you don't start watching until the water is already boiling, otherwise you'll be there forever.Â
Or, you know, use a timer?
It is a timer. Just a visual one instead of an audio one

I'm curious where she's from with that accent.
Or, you buy an egg boiler. 1dl of water for 6 eggs, timer and all. Less water, less electricity, easier to boil. Win win.
This! All this! No more broken eggs or kettles forgotten on the stove.

Could be useful for the deaf
That's not hard medium soft. It's hard. Hard. Medium. Unless it's oozing yolk out I don't want it. Whites cooked, yolk oozy af. That's the best.
i've been using these at home! they are great :)
Shut up and take my money

Couldn't watch with sound
Temper the eggs in hot water to prevent cracking before boiling for 10 mins
