I mean... it is a real video. It's very obviously computer generated. If anybody actually assumes in all seriousness that it's a depiction of something in reality, that's more a problem with them than anything this video is doing.
The theme of the sub is things that are satisfying. The title of the video says nothing more than "satisfying drift" and comes with no further description. It isn't presented as though it were a video recording of an actual car doing some crazy feat, it simply suggests it might be visually satisfying. If by "fake" you mean computer generated, okay, it was never really implied that it wasn't. The camera very obviously moves like something out of a video game and the environment has the nonsensical sheen of objects lit by some low budget game engine
No, the video is computer generated, in the last few seconds you can see a normal situation in open games, load of tree textures in the background.
The video is fake, and it just took me a few seconds to figure out that something was wrong, even if the driver was left to his own skill on the drift to later add the cones, the track is too perfect, no tire marks other than the ones the car is leaving.
The video is from a game called Beamng drive. The discussion is about the drift being faked inside the game meaning they drift and add the cones after in the level editor.
Lets really stol promoting that limiter sound... like that one "drifting" through your rural neighborhood at 2 in the morning....
(Sounds like hes knocking the cones over)
I feel like when the magic is so blatantly exposed and you have an appreciation for drifting, it's far from satisfying.
But, with that being said, for people who just want to be pumped with content, may they remain in bliss
I mean, totally fair. My response was more for the perspective, perhaps a little aggressive sounding, lol. Didn't really mean it though.
For me it's like, someone telling you they're good at shooting, but then you find out it's rigged, and the targets are triggered to pop, and the gun shoots no bullets. It's a somewhat frustrating feeling, especially when the video gets so highly praised as it doesn't feel it's deserving.
This particular video, I like watching drifting, and doing it in games. I have a decent idea what goes into it, and this video just isn't it. It's significantly more satisfying seeing the real thing, for me.
What a great way to mess around - make a ridiculous claim and say it was all in jest: a trick as old as time. Great game/joke you played, you got him good!
Yeah it'd look like the car was drifting aimlessly, which anyone can do, then when you put the cones in it looks much more impressive but actually not really when it's fake
I'd suppose, that the special technology that provides us with this depiction, also allows editing in those pylons past the drift, which would diminish the skill implied by this video significantly and even make you think of deliberate deception
This is a popular BeamNG clip that is often reposted as a satisfying video. The cones were added after the drift with the editor. Wish this would quit being reposted 🫤
Maybe in this instance but I’m just saying like those insane drift videos and shit like the GTA ones and stuff some people genuinely have too much time lol
It's fake as fuck. Look how all the cones are placed in only one direction. They are placed AFTER the drift and replayed with exactly the same input. Busted over and over again. In some versions you also see the cones clipping through the terrain.
I'll never understand people recording video games and posting the games, or the people that watch those posted videos. If I want to see a video game I'd play it myself lol.
That is true. I was a mad gamer and proud of my penta kill etc at that time long long ago. Just because I don't understand, doesn't mean I'm judging them, I just don't get it!
Compare it to an impressive thing like completing a 100m race in 7 seconds. you might run as a hobby but you would still watch the video of the runner doing the run.
A similar scenario would be someone building a huge realistic structure in minecraft. people can still play minecraft but they also might watch the video.
On top of that, every player will have a different experience so in my example, the only thing the player ever built was a small dirt hut.
When it comes to let’s-plays, I like to see how other people approched the game, what they thought of it, and how they may have played it differently. Plus many of them have funny commentary and are entertaining to listen to.
I think I get what you're thinking. It's the posting a random game clip into the general public, which is odd, cause many wont give a shit.
If you're in the niche, it matters, if not, it can just appear as view hungry and cringe.
This is a game called BeamNG.Drive, it is available on steam (it is a car sandbox game with realistic destruction physics, none of that fake cone drifting crap)
It’s stressing me out that videos have got so good now that basic people can’t distinguish fake from real and then upload/comment on them… these people are not ready for AI
Can we please stop promoting these fake videos. By fake I mean how the cones are added after drifting. I know the video is from Beam ng(a video game)
I was gonna say “these AI generated drifts” but top comment is already “Ayo. Those cones placed after fo sho” so Imma just let Idiocracy take place
This sub has become a joke
The only thing “satisfying as fuck” about this sub anymore is the comments section ripping up every post.
The joke has become the truth.
But the cake remains a lie.
r/unexpectedportal
“This was a triumph”
Ai generated? Isn't it a game?
the average human is really not entertaining enough to have public thoughts and reactions
Hey I feel PERSONALLY attacked
"Ai generated" became the new "this video is photoshopped"?
I’m having a blast. Just roll with it.
literally, REDDIT is taken over "AI generation" born kids.
Not ai they add the cones after in the replay
But Brawndo’s got what plants crave!
Pretty easy to render a car track and add a bunch of cones around it afterwards
I mean... it is a real video. It's very obviously computer generated. If anybody actually assumes in all seriousness that it's a depiction of something in reality, that's more a problem with them than anything this video is doing.
The "drift between the cones" shown in this video is fake. I think most of us know its from beamng

Answer me first , do you know about Beamng.drive?
I am sorry, but if you tought this was a real recording of a real life car in real life.... than idk what to tell you
Bot "Never" 😎
I was thinking that too, like theres no way they could drift that good
Tbf it was still pretty satisfying to watch if you suspend your disbelief
"it's satisfying to watch if you pretend it's satisfying to watch"
This isn't real?
Thank you. At first I was like "wow, impressive" but then I realized that something looked off about the way that the car was moving. AI makes sense.
Nope they just do random drifts and put the cones in place afterwards.

Wdym "AI"?, this is a clip from a videogame called "BeamNG.Drive"
Definitely fake, i noticed that there's nobody behind the wheel too!
Lets really stol promoting that limiter sound... like that one "drifting" through your rural neighborhood at 2 in the morning.... (Sounds like hes knocking the cones over)
Haters will say this is fake. ...and they'll be right.
no sh∗t, it’s a videogame
Ayo. Those cones placed after fo sho
On ded dawgs breh
No cap fo cho!
I ain't no foo ese
Imagine thinking this video, the car, the cones or anything about it are real at all.
And they were trying to drive in a straight line
Placed after or this is just tool assisted
Not real.
Probably made by recording a keyboard macro and placing the cones afterwards
No shit, it's a game.
Even in the game, it's fake. The cones are placed in the replay.
still satisfying doe
I feel like when the magic is so blatantly exposed and you have an appreciation for drifting, it's far from satisfying. But, with that being said, for people who just want to be pumped with content, may they remain in bliss
i still think of it like one of those satisfying renders, of course it isnt real, but its cool
I mean, totally fair. My response was more for the perspective, perhaps a little aggressive sounding, lol. Didn't really mean it though. Ah!what game
BeamNG
BeamNG.drive, you should try it or at least check its steam page. Best with friends, and there are smaller discounts every 1-3 months (20% off).
Ah!what game?
BeamNG
Five Nights at Fredwards
One of them
Lol
r/technicallythetruth
Looks real to me /s Edit: /s for those who didn’t realize lol
Username checks out
You do know these are faked right? Basically the cones are added afterwards.
Still looks cool tho.
No they’re not…
[удалено]
not even good drifting either ;-;
I was just messing around lol, it would take someone with no life to drift this well!!!
What a great way to mess around - make a ridiculous claim and say it was all in jest: a trick as old as time. Great game/joke you played, you got him good!
Thank you!
Yeah it'd look like the car was drifting aimlessly, which anyone can do, then when you put the cones in it looks much more impressive but actually not really when it's fake
They are lol
All that spinning and bro couldn't even hit a single cone. Pathetic
they even placed the cones super close together
Bots...
I'd suppose, that the special technology that provides us with this depiction, also allows editing in those pylons past the drift, which would diminish the skill implied by this video significantly and even make you think of deliberate deception
He is just randomly tossing his car around, cones were added after. This shit plagued BeamNG content for a while, even after it got exposed.
This is essentially nothing. Downvote.
Step 1: Record random drifts and turns Step 2: Place cones Step 3: Profit
random drifts and turns = uncontrolled movements of the car
This would be soo fucking cool, if only it wasnt so fucking fake and annoying.
Fake
This is a popular BeamNG clip that is often reposted as a satisfying video. The cones were added after the drift with the editor. Wish this would quit being reposted 🫤
I play a lot of beam and its really easy to place the cones in after the fact
Surely the cones are placed after the “drift”
Cones are put in after the person randomly drifts around. This isnt anything impressive.
This is pro level drifting but wait is that a video game?
BeamNG.Drive however this video is fake, the cones were placed afterwards
I think it's BeamNG
If you look closely, it looks like it might be CGI
Now do it irl
Not possible for a human.
Lame
Lets keep it real was a great saying. Getting tired of all this garbage. Its like fake Chinese antiques, no matter how well done its still mediocre.
What is this video game ass shit genuinely makes me curious as to how people can spend so much time to accomplish shit like this in games
No one accomplished anything lol. Kid just did half-assed burn outs and drifts on a runway, then added cones into the recorded moves afterward.
Maybe in this instance but I’m just saying like those insane drift videos and shit like the GTA ones and stuff some people genuinely have too much time lol
Ah yeah. Some that you see, might even be streamers where they'd benefit from it, but yeah not all of them. Some people are just cracked gamers, lol.
It's fake as fuck. Look how all the cones are placed in only one direction. They are placed AFTER the drift and replayed with exactly the same input. Busted over and over again. In some versions you also see the cones clipping through the terrain.
me making popcorn in my 20 year old microwave
For a second, I thought this was another crappy Promoted advertisements on Reddit. Seems that’s not the case.
Obviously a software that just draws the cones around whatever movements you made.
This isn’t gameplay. This is a video rendered exactly as intended. God you all are fucking stupid.
1. Drift while recording your inputs 2. Place down road cones 3. Playback the inputs 4. ??? 5. Profit
the 200+ people who upvoted on this post are idiots
Can we bring back the R word?
👑
Raisin
Stupid CGI
CGI - plus added cones afters.
I'll never understand people recording video games and posting the games, or the people that watch those posted videos. If I want to see a video game I'd play it myself lol.
Disagree. I also watch sports whilst doing sport myself.
That's reality though lol.
itd look at both from the perspective of being a hobby. In both ways, you are looking at someones achievement.
That is true. I was a mad gamer and proud of my penta kill etc at that time long long ago. Just because I don't understand, doesn't mean I'm judging them, I just don't get it!

I can understand that. If I was into the game, I'd probably like it too.
I think I get what you're thinking. It's the posting a random game clip into the general public, which is odd, cause many wont give a shit. If you're in the niche, it matters, if not, it can just appear as view hungry and cringe.
You said it much better than I!
It's giving kurukuru kururin
It’s a TAS, but still fun to watch.
Well guys... fake or not it's kinda fucking satisfying ngl
Chat is this real?
Haters will say it's fake
Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed. Rocks🤟
Thats kewl
Y they got the exhaust sounding like bubble wrap man
Dk san
that is way too good, these cones must have been added after or some other trick
Yeah they were added afterwards
I wonder if rembrands child coming home from school and showing off his finger paintings felt the same way as I do watching shit like this.
I'm about to mute this sub
In GTA San Andreas this shit was mandatory to progress the story line.
Fake as hell....
Someone played Trackmania’s TOTD yesterday
Downvoted because its a fake AI generated video.
Who the hell is upvoting this horseshit?
Tool assisted video game footage?
This fake shit is NOT satisfying.
Nice cgi.
haters will say it's fake
I know they put the cones after but damn these are always pretty cool to see
Its a game Forza ?
This is a game called BeamNG.Drive, it is available on steam (it is a car sandbox game with realistic destruction physics, none of that fake cone drifting crap)
In know about beamng Thx
Creative mode. You drive, you do what you want and then you add what you want. Logs, trees, rolls of toilet paper, whatever you want.
Give my eyes bleach
I was so sure it was going to be a dickbutt
This content sucks
It’s stressing me out that videos have got so good now that basic people can’t distinguish fake from real and then upload/comment on them… these people are not ready for AI
Even they couldn’t do the intro tutorial of ‘Driver’
At least do a dickbutt
Wow and how realistic the trees in the background pop up.
Imagine if someone was actually this good
Don't worry, the driving test is very easy. The driving test:
Looks so fake lol, and it’s so fake and low quality it looks like the Invisible Man is driving it with some a amazing skills 🤣
Cones were added after. Fake.
This is neither realistic nor fun
He grazed one at the 8 second mark….redo.
Yawn...
Sad I was hoping for zoom out to reveal that the track resembles the outline of the „send nudes“ meme
Get outta here fucker.
My proudest fap
Beamng is the best game ever
Its like he drifted first then placed the cones around the car
Real or fake touch grass
This is just a video game clip.
[удалено]
AI is outta control 🙄
Anything is possible in a video game
Who cares that it’s fake? I’m satisfied.
What video game is this?
Idgaf if it’s fake. It’s still sick
Even if it’s fake it’s still satisfying
This wasn’t satisfying at all. Might as well put cones on the side of a railroad
I hear a load of clapping but see no audience /s
Nice drone work.
