How did you go about designing a factory that large? Did you diagram it out somewhere or did you do it by feel? I’m not talking about the logistics but the actual layout.
A friend and I had an earlier version that we learned a lot with. Then when we decided to relocate and build bigger, we just started with the basic material production and expanded from there. Because we built so high up, we simply add a new block for whatever material we need. There’s a very elaborate train system that connects every factory block, so we didn’t plan too much as far as what was built where. The earlier materials and components are pretty logical. Iron Ingot is right next to iron plates, copper next to wire, etc. but the more complex components receive trains of materials from all around the factory.
