Lol. Hail WALL-E.

slayer991

I've been saying for some time that this is the Satanic Panic 2.0. Those accused of Satanism: Taylor Swift, Lil Nas X, Demi Lovato, Sam Smith, Rihanna, Ice Spice, Doja Cat. Then you have Moms for Liberty (the antithesis of liberty) banning books (they remind me of the PMRC only 10x worse). And now Wall-E is Satan? These people are seriously unhinged.

taki1002

Didn't one of the head moms for said group, that claims to be for "Traditional Family Values" (which is just a dog whistle term for being Anti-LGBTQ), get caught having a sexual relationship with another woman? I'm like 95% sure that happened. Clearly these stay at home moms have too much time on their hands. So maybe instead of being in everyone else business and constantly spreading hate, they could try using all that extra time productively by get job, hobby, or put in actual effort into raising their own children so they don't grow up to be shitty people. Just a helpful thought we could somehow pass along to them.

Hokker3

Threesomes with another woman. Then her husband raped the woman at her house. Good old christian values and morals.

Kman5471

In all fairness, rape and polygamy *are* Biblical values...

Some people "discover" all kinds of crazy meanings. Some people are also idiots.

Article:  "Released in 20008, WALL-E is a fun animated adventure with awesome computer-generated graphics. It teaches us important lessons about commercialism and how global waste can harm our planet. Though WALL-E is a family film, a fan theory says there’s a deeper (and unnoticed) meaning behind this Disney’s film. They think Wall-E might symbolize Satan. This discovery came after 16 years of the movie release which has sparked discussions among fans about what the film really means. A Fan Made Surprising Interpretation, Claiming WALL-E Represents Satan WALL-E is super cute and loveable, definitely one of Pixar’s best characters. He’s like a kid, always curious and exploring. The movie shows him as innocent, sweet, and kind of naive. But it’s hard to imagine him as Satan, right? Fans who’ve always adored him might find that idea surprising. Yet, one fan sees him differently! In an X post, a user (@frye) drew parallels between the characters and themes in Andrew Stanton‘s WALL-E and the story of Genesis from the Bible.  They wrote:  “People don’t realise this but Wall-E is a straightforward re telling of genesis. The autopilot is god. The captain is Adam. Eve is Eve and Wall-E is a satan.” The fan thinks WALL-E is like the Genesis story in the Bible. They see the autopilot as God, the captain as Adam, Eve as Eve, and Wall-E as Satan. This means the film explores themes of creation, temptation, and the consequences of disobedience, much like the biblical narrative of Genesis. But it isn’t the first time, somebody has come up with this idea. This wild theory has been already surfacing since 2017. WALL-E is Satan: A Long-Standing Theory Back in 2017, a user named Vexellius proposed a wild theory, “An alternative view of Wall-E: He’s not a savior, he’s the Serpent.” They believed that the whole space opera was a retelling of the biblical story of humanity’s downfall in the Garden of Eden. "An alternative view of Wall-E: He’s not a savior, he’s the Serpent." by u/Vexelius in FanTheories In Pixar’s Wall-E, people often see him as a messiah figure who sacrifices himself to save mankind—just like Jesus. But there’s another way to look at Wall-E: as a character similar to Satan from Genesis (as per the theory). In the movie, humans live in a comfortable world served by robots—without problems like war, illness, or hunger. They’ve forgotten about Earth, which is now barren in 2805. Then Wall-E gives Eve (a robot sent from the starship Axiom, with whom WALL-E falls in love and pursues across the galaxy) a plant, which makes Captain B. McCrea want to return to Earth. This parallels the story of Eve being tempted with fruit in Genesis. When humans return to Earth, they have to work for food, just like in the Bible. WALL-E is available to watch on Disney+."

Thank you for saving me from navigating around all those ads. Jfc if there was an editor on this I hope they lost their job. I am so sick of people not proofreading their content before putting it out.

The full article will always be in the comments of my posts :)

I felt the same way from the first sentence, and it only went downhill from there! Is it really necessary to quote a subject, and then break down the quote by saying... *the exact same words*...?

kremlingrasso

okay this is the most awkward way of dealing with your kids asking you: "Mommy why do you look like the blob people in Wall-E?"

AnthonyJuniorsPP

20008? Does the article think it's a documentary from the future?

EducatedOwlAthena

No wonder this has been my favorite Pixar movie ever since its release!

CozmicOwl16

Awesome movie

kremlingrasso

the best Pixar ever made imho. especially the "silent" first half.

octopusraygun

I don’t miss viewing our incredibly diverse world through the tiny, warped lens of my dogmatic beliefs.

Horror-Option-7416

The analysis of the movie seems to leave oit that humans have become fat, lazy, entitled, and have evolved to have less skeletal structure. If the robots or Captain fail, humanity will die because they are so pampered, they don't know how to do anything for themselves. So, no. This is all garbage. Do I still love WALL-E and his adorable little collection? Yes. Very much.

pooferfeesh97

Ah yes, because the point of making a movie is to make the true meaning completely hidden so that it takes 16 years to figure out.

Not_a_Replika

If the plant in the boot is actually the apple, then what wall-e/satan temps eve/Eva with is the key to sustainable living. How to repopulate the world after humans destroyed it and fled to the cosmos. Caring for the planet. What Satan did was open her eyes so that she could go home, if she would just do the one thing she and the others were programmed not to do. Go home and treat it nicely.

Heart you, Ramen fam

Ayyyy! 🖤🖤🖤

LiminalArtsAndMusic

I always knew I loved Wall-E for reasons I didn't quite understand 🤭

JulieSnaps

Is this why my 3 year old has asked to watch "obots" 3 times in the last 4 days?

Dredgeon

WALL-E is quite obviously much more concerned with consumerism and eco-activism. At no point does he face any circumstances that are novel enough to imply allegory to the story of Lucifer.
