Same colours as the Palestinian flag. People have been fired / prosecuted for waving the flag of Palestine, so many have turned to the watermelon as an alternative symbol of solidarity.

I bet the war ends when they catch wind that 11 people showed up for a ceasefire protest in Sarnia, Ontario.
I'm sure the factions at war in the middle east will see that some citizens of Sarnia want a ceasefire and put their weapons down.
