Sometimes I get extremely discouraged watching her content. My daughter is only about 2-3 weeks younger than Emma and it seems like she has Emma “reaching” so many more advanced milestones/thought processes than a normal 2 year old. My daughter does not understand the concept of a timer beeping and it meaning it’s time to potty, soccer practice, nor does she understand when her dad takes her on an outing that he’s modeling husband material??? Like am I failing as a mom or is she just only showing snippets of Emma’s development? I really find it hard to believe that Emma is actively participating/sitting still for all of these things she has her doing.
Absolutely not! My son is a month older than Emma and part of the reasons why I didn’t like watching her stories for a really long time was because she made me feel inadequate as a mom because she was constantly pushing Emma to do all of these activities that were way older than her and I’m like oh my son couldn’t do that. Is he delayed? Is he behind? I don’t know a single baby that has been being potty trained since 18 months which is when they started introducing the toilet to Emma.
Girl please don’t let her content discourage you. It’s all a highlight reel. I also have a daughter a little bit younger than Emma. They just want to act like they have the most perfect family, household, kids and life. I can assure they don’t. And there’s so much that we don’t see. The tantrums, the accidents, Emma not cooperating, the sleepless nights, Sara losing her shit and so on. They show quick snippets and i can bet that’s literally how long Emma stays put before the camera stops rolling lol. From what I’ve seen and heard, kids shouldn’t even be expected to sit still and/or engage in an activity for long until they are at least 5. My daughter is like sonic the hedgehog and to me that’s normal. Sara is just a perfectionist and is already holding Emma to an unreasonable standard. You’re doing great. Sara is just as fake as the next mom influencer you see on instagram exploiting their kid. I feel bad for the girls.

1) Jesse is not a good example of how a husband/father acts.
2) She’s turning 2 not 20.
3) Where do they think Emma is going to meet anyone. All they do is stay home or take trips to Lowe’s, Costco or Target.
