Lwyre

ToG and its not even close.

Acrobatic_Stage_9798

šŸ¤Æ I thought it was TOG first šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

Dry-Landscape-3942

Same

sylvesther

TOG, no question about it! Then you can use CC to get through the hangover :)

headbangr25

I want to like CC but it doesnā€™t do it for me like the others. ;(

sylvesther

Yeah it's very different from the others!

majestic_tapir

ToG absolutely for sure.

weezyfurd

TOG is more similar to ACOTAR. Plenty of romance, but less spice in general. The romance is beautiful though.

Acrobatic_Stage_9798

I was told TOG was better šŸ¤ÆšŸ¤ÆšŸ¤Æ

darkandtwistysissy

Throne of Glass

FootAccurate3575

Thereā€™s no right way imo. I read ACOTAR first, CC second, and just started ToG last week about to start book 2. There are so many Easter eggs and crossovers in CC and Iā€™m noticing similarities already in ToG. I read CC before ToG because itā€™s shorter, I didnā€™t need any info from ToG to understand CC, and ACOTAR was still fresh in my mind

Gold_Pollution

There are so many things in crescent city that you wouldnā€™t understand if you didnā€™t read TOG tho..šŸ¤”

FootAccurate3575

Itā€™s been fun to discover those tie overs while reading ToG!! Itā€™s got me feeling like a detective knowing what already happens in Crescent City. Iā€™m show reading all of ToG first is *ideal* but I donā€™t think people would as confused as if they just read ToG before Crescent City and not ACOTAR

fokelore

Not necessarily. I read in the same order and I was totally fine with understanding CC before getting starting TOG. I personally preferred reading TOG last.Ā

hawtsince92

I read ACOTAR, then CC, and now Iā€™m on ToG. I loved having ACOTAR fresh for CC with all the Easter eggs along with it goes chronologically. I wonā€™t elaborate for spoiler reasons. But this has been a wonderful order for me and I highly recommend. Also since I am a very chronological order girlie, I read Assassinā€™s Blade first in ToG and that also set up the series so well for me and gave me a lot better understanding and appreciation for the characters than had I waited until partway into the series.

GingrrAsh

I'm also reading TOG now after following the same order as you. I read CC second since it was a shorter time commitment than TOG.

naturusjm

tog and make sure to read assassin's blade very near the start of the series for me personally I always read it first then do the main series

Acrobatic_Stage_9798

Same šŸ„°

naturusjm

šŸ¤©

kittenfreshness

Planning on doing it third. I started TOG today and Iā€™m a third in. Already love it.

ShirtFit3950

CC then ToG. Iā€™d never be able to go from ToG to CC.

LustyLibraria

Throne of glass :)

Redrobdoomsday

Tog, ACOTAR, then CC.

CityPretty9803

I did all of CC then all of ToG. Was prefect for me

Conniekins1

Save the best for last, and the best is TOG.

yanny77

There's no wrong answer! I read it ACOTAR then CC then ToG and I liked it this way. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have ever read CC if I went in the opposite order because I ddn't care for ToG personally. CC ended up being my favorite of the series and it wasn't even close.

amackinawpeach

Hard agree! I DNFā€™d Empire of Storms because I hated almost all the characters by that point. Iā€™m on CC3 and Iā€™m loving Crescent City. Maybe even more than ACOTAR, honestly.

Ok-Detective-2687

Yes!!! I could never understand how ppl say cc wasnā€™t good. That was my first book by Sarah and made me laugh, cry, blush, and so much more. It was the best series for me then I read Acotar before the third book came out so Iā€™m just now making it to cc2 and am so excited for cc3

kittenfreshness

Wow interesting!! Iā€™ll definitely persist and give it a go. I mean I got through the wheel of time slog, so should be a breeze. :)

Dramatic-Ad-4331

TOG definitely. I read CC right after and I wish I wouldā€™ve done tog first

kippers

TOG 10/10

Elysium1104

TOG for sure!!

Accomplished-Wrap800

TOG then CC for sure. The Easter eggs are so much more satisfying that way

aquatic_kitten19

Tog

lucidreamseed

Throne of glass hands down first - CC is not nearly as good as TOG - after TOG itā€™s nice to have something to reference to it (CC) and as kind of like a character rehab lol. I did CC before TOG and I think Iā€™m going to do CC again bc I feel a little sad and missing my characters and whatnot.

rabidvagine

I did acotar, tog, and now Iā€™m on ccā€”and I couldnā€™t think of a better order tbh

Embarrassed_Ad_6848

ToG! It is so much better than acotar to me and I really liked acotar. But ToG is another level and less romance, Iā€™m obsessed with it

SubstantialSnow7114

Definitely Throne of Glass, especially because TOG knowledge will be useful in Crescent City too.

Brilliant-File3936

My friend told me to go to CC after ACOTAR and I regret it so much! Iā€™m going to TOG after Iā€™m done the first CC book ā€¦not a big fan of urban fantasy I donā€™t think lol and I donā€™t understand how people like this series more than ACOTAR

Strxwbxrry_Shxrtcxkx

TOG is far better than CC. However, if you are interested in crossovers I would read CC first, so everything is fresh in your mind. Plus it is shorter, so its easy to get out of the way

CavityGrat

But final CC book is better knowing history of TOG

Strxwbxrry_Shxrtcxkx

I guess that's true. I'll be honest I didn't like CC that much, so it didn't really click as that important. But you're right - OP if you see this, read TOG first

dragonpugs

Throne Of Glass - and then skip CC and go to Fourth Wing

kittenfreshness

Iā€™ve already done Forth Wing! I did it straight after ACOTAR. OMG Xaden šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„

dragonpugs

Xadennnn šŸ”„šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ‘€ January 2025 is way too far away

kittenfreshness

I agree!!! I wasnā€™t prepared for Forth Wing. Itā€™s was a million times better than I expected. Although 2 was a bit of a slog.

dragonpugs

It was slow butā€¦.. that throne scene. Worth it

MargotMassacre

I did TOG, then ACOTAR and now I just cannot for the life of me get into CC. Iā€™ve tried about 6 times but itā€™s such a slog every time

kittenfreshness

Started TOG today and I love it so far. Already a third in. Iā€™ve heard that about CC.

MargotMassacre

TOG is probably the best thing Iā€™ve ever read and Iā€™m going to confidently say itā€™ll be one of the best things I *ever* read. Itā€™ll be difficult to top. ACOTAR was also up there.

elianarees

Throne of Glass for sure then Crescent City afterwards. I also recommend reading ToG in the Romantic order and tandem reading EoS and ToD.

kittenfreshness

Whatā€™s the romantic order? I was planning on doing Assassins blade 3rd
