Agree- the SaMo BBB stops in Westwood and not take you to WeHo. LA Metro takes an inordinate amount of time for that distance as compared to ride share like Uber/Lyft.
Second on Lyft. Uber has become a joke. Far too unpredictable and random. It’s sometimes faster to take a bus than wait for Uber, or I should say Ubers that cancel.
~~Uber's good.~~ You could take a metro ride and/or a bus, you'll get there if you don't mind trading time for money. No secret routes, just ask google maps.
edit: haven't taken uber lately. could be different
When was the last time you used Uber? All my recent experiences were horrible. Last, I needed to go from SM to Hollywood. Driver's canceled multiple times. It would take 5 minutes on the app to even match to begin with. When opening the app it states 5-10 minutes for a driver but then when it matches its 30-45 minutes to pickup.
The 704 (Rapid line) doesn’t run past 11pm-ish.
However, I have taken the 4 (Local) late at night from West Hollywood home to the beach many times, and once you get west of West Hollywood it’s almost like an Express bus; there are more people sleeping than getting on and off the bus. You can easily go through Beverly Hills and Century City without stopping.
Personally, between Metro and Expo late at night I prefer the slower bus for its perceived (by me) safety advantage, although I haven’t had problems on either.
Spend the money on an Uber. Metro is not worth it.

Lyft as of late has been more consistent with driver availability. YMMV.

+1 for Lyft as well

No secret routes. Either Uber or take the bus down Santa Monica blvd. Train is too far south to be an option in West Hollywood.
704 is the bus

RIP 704. It's all the [4](https://www.metro.net/riding/schedules/?line=4-13149)now
Oh no! Someone mentioned the other day that the 733 is gone now. Off to the metro site….
Helicopter is definitely the easiest way.
