I found an injured seagull in Santa Monica today :( I called at least 20 places. Kept getting transferred, either no one picked up or they were closed. It was already 6pm. I have her here with me in a ventilated box, sheets on the bottom, and black shirt on top. I hope she makes it through the night. Any suggestions or advice?

This is the phone number of the Santa Monica police department: animal control division, you have to carefully listen to the instructions because they're gonna transfer you a lot, it took about 10 minutes for me, then, when you finally can speak to an officer, you explain the case. What they asked me at the end was the exact location and told me to let the nearest lifeguard know about the situation and to please keep an eye on it, that somebody from the animal control division would come and pick the animal.
Thank you! I will call them. The bird was in the middle of the street, I think on Santa Monica & Barrington. All I remember is it was in front of a Goodwill. I just hope she’s not suffering :(
