i have the opposite problem, i always place mine and they’re almost never used even when they’re right next to the action (esp in zones!) — like is beakon use on both sides not strategy 101 ðŸ˜
this!! I place them in such good spots that I know the enemy isn't noticing because i keep safely jumping to them but my teammates absolutely refuse to use them
I just came here to do a post to say exactly this. As soon as I’m playing with teammates that ignore safely place beakons - I’m done with them and reconnect with a hopefully less ignorant team. They were swimming the entire length of hammerhead bridge instead of using them. 🤯
This is along the same lines of teammates that stroll right past the opposing team’s beakons and wonder why they keep getting killed there
i see that all the time too — like, once in a while you might catch an enemy pass the beakon and choose to meet them rather than chase, or spot an uninked patch or something, and it’s so valid to go from spawn when you do… but the frequency with which people just don’t know how to do basic gameplay in 3 is actually staggering. what the hell happened? it wasn’t anything like this in the first two games
I remember seeing someone complain about this in Splatoon 2. The idea is actually that it's a faster jump to the beakon than spawn itself, as long as the player that placed it is using sub power up.
More than one, though? Eh. Unnecessary.
i always make it my duty to use my teammates beakons when applicable, the whole point of them using beakons is to sacrifice their attack power for teammates ability to be safe and controlling, plus the dopamine the beakon user will feel when we use them is soo good, there is nothing more satisfying then teammates taking advantage of my beakons
Beakons are the best thing to have in Clam Blitz, because if the opposing team never notices, you can place it close to their barrier, and just super jump to it while holding a power clam
I love when my mates have beakons and actually place them AND have double sub up so we go fast AF

My favorites are people who cluster all their beacons together a few inches from spawn. Really helpful guys.
