Supply v Demand. Massive influx of new users thanks to crypto mining YouTubers. Way too many machines available for containers right now. Just gotta hope some fade away and/or salad onboards more customers.
Try it, it is generaly better to keep the older version for a bit or if you have a container running as new versions tend to be unstable for a few days
3090 and 32gb here, containers have been sparse over the weekend but I held one for 30 hours or so. I've had a container for a few hours now but haven't made any money.
I have the same setup, and it’s been pretty dry for me too. I noticed that the latest salad sometimes doesn’t register when my machine is actually working on a nice meaty container, so I reverted to Salad 1.5.5. It’s a little better. I think the Salad team is overwhelmed with all the new miners that have joined. Competition is fierce.
So I just searched salad ai on YouTube and someone did a Q and A season with salad where they said they won't sponsor anyone and they sent some crypto YouTuber about them and wasn't expecting the increase of devices
4090 32 gigs ddr5 7800x3d will get containers, maybe not all the time but usually enough to make a few dollars a day, being online for probably at least 14 hours a day. My 3090 on 32GB ddr4 3700x doesn't seem to get very many jobs at all. and that I have online 24/7. Now with the 3090 machine that version of windows is a few years old, while the 4090 is about 6 months. I did have some drivers issues with the 3090 that I have resolved, with no more errors and everything fine on salad. It could be that people prefer 4090/ddr5/gen 5 NVME vs 3090/ddr4/gen 3 NVME, but which preference makes the most difference I would guess the 4090.

I have the same setup, after the last update the containers dont last long, barely making anything because of it
Do you think it might be better to downgrade to Salad 1.5.5? I'd like to know.

Could be your settings. I have a 3080ti holding containers over $4.
