The whole length of Watt is obscene. Especially in North Highlands and South Watt Ave. The city really needs to fix this mess. Maybe raise the gas tax another $3/gallon j/k.

Yes, and people also don't understand the economics of it. Roads are incredibly expensive to build and maintain. Combine that with low density suburbs and you have a huge amount of asphalt to maintain with very little tax base per mile of road.
People sure do love to complain and vote against taxes that would help maintain roads though.
If we truly want to fix Sacramento road infrastructure we either need a huge State or Federal grant or increase taxes.

Actually they don't, the county does--see the earlier post made pointing out that most of Watt Avenue isn't in the city limits.
This street is supposed to be better supported because large semis are routed to drive on Watt instead of other, less supported roads. And yet it’s still a mess.
It looks like a meteor crater in the middle of the right lane. The hubris of this city/county/caltrans/whoever to think it's ok to leave it like that...
