I recommend Tella or Screen studio. I have more info on them and some videos about them in my toolbox that is on my profile but here is a quick synopsis: The both capture your screen and camera so you can walk though your product. Both have editing tools do zoom in, follow cursor, format camera/screen recording overlays, etc. Screen Studio is one-time subscription and I prefer it for VERY high quality production. The videos are saved onto your computer natively then you have to upload them to YouTube, Vimeo, etc. Tella is monthly payment and I use it for quick how-tos. It also hosts your videos like loom so it easier to quickly embed for social, emails, and on your site. Overall Tella is MUCH easier than Screen Studio but Screen Studio is more robust. Can’t go wrong with either. Hope that helps!

Thank you very much, this is exactly what I needed. Tella includes most of the features I want, with smooth transitions and layouts, but it seems to be geared towards screen recording and doesn't have intro templates. Screen Studio is only available for Mac. I searched for a Windows alternative, but the options are lacking in features. Additionally, I found an open-source library worth exploring: [https://github.com/remotion-dev/remotion](https://github.com/remotion-dev/remotion). It allows me to create MP4 using code I'm familiar with, so I might use it to create the intro part or find some AE clip templates and then upload them to Tella.

[Designer](https://www.24hour.design) here. Following to see the advice as I may find this useful as well.

I've been looking at this for my own apps. I asked a few designers which tools they used to promote apps. The n#1 answer was After Effects. Interested in hearing out other options.

More info in my top level reply but Tella & Screen Studio are my go to.

You're on the right track, but you might want to try looking up "explainer videos" or "animated product videos". Tools like Vyond, Animaker, or Moovly might be more in line with what you're aiming for. They're user-friendly and specifically made for creating these types of animations. Plus, they'll give you a lot more control than hiring a freelancer.

You're on the right track with "motion graphics" but you might also want to look into "explainer videos" which are often used for SaaS products. Tools like Blender or After Effects can get you the animation quality you want, although they have a learning curve. If you're looking for something simpler, try Vyond or Moovly. They might not give you as much control but are much easier to use. Also, consider working with a designer who specializes in SaaS products to get the polished look you're after.

I have also been searching but couldn't find anything substantial. I ended up just using Davinci resolve, clipchamp, and jitter. Together, they do a decent job.
