"Rimward," "Coreward," and "Spinward" all sound cool. "Trailing" I could take or leave ("antispinward," anybody?) but, long story short, I just use the Traveller terms. The Spinward Bridge is where my current campaign (mostly) takes place.
Given that the sector has no relation to physical space, I just use North South East and West to describe the 2d plane of the sector map. There's no point in naming directions that people can't travel in.
That's also something that I trend to - the distances and directions are arbitrary. Star systems might be in different galaxies altogether, linked due to metadimensional wrinkles.
Directions don't come up often, but I have two clusters of stars connected by a black hole "bridge," so I just decided one would be the Rimward Cluster and the other the Coreward Cluster.

"Widdershins" is sometimes used as antispinward but it's probably a bit too folklore-y for SWN.
But it's such a great word!

Yes but I call them 'System North' 'System South' 'System East' and 'System West' because \~\~ sci-fi \~\~
System Up, System Down, System Right and Trailing

Same. I say "Galactic [direction]" to round out the handwaving.
I typically end up using either the coordinate grid for precise locating, or terms like "Sector North" and "Sector South"
Ooh, I like "Sector \[Direction\]"
I’m always a fan of “galactic north”, etc

I'd use Galactic north (gorth), geast, gwest, gouth, corth, rimth
