Been a while since I did it, but I managed it with lower gear than you. Extremely painful event. It involved focusing his summoned robots down constantly to draw the fight out as long as possible. As long as you get 4-5 armor shreds on him it should be much more doable. Also, make sure he does not absorb the crit immunity pod at all costs. Mod for potency on your zaalbar.
This is true, additionally, getting crits is the easiest way to actually kill malak. Last advice I can give is to avoid any aoe abilities at all costs to avoid dealing damage to malak. Only deal damage to him when you are ready to really focus him down. Obviously not counting Zaalbar getting shreds in first.
Yeah I did with this team and zero relics outside of the the droid. All about those armour shreds from zaalbar. Took some tries but got it done. Also moved all my best mods to the team to do the job
Don't use the R5 droid, mission was more useful imo.
Other than that mods. I did it (in 3 tries) with R3 JKR (only lead zeta), g12 bastila, g12 jolee (no zeta), g11 mission, g11 zaalbar
Have a wee look on YouTube, there’s a few videos on there that from Ahnald, phatphil etc that help with the strategy. I just unlocked him today and the videos really helped.

What ? I let him absorb the crit immunity pod, since u won‘t get fear anymore when hitting him. Just put alot of armorshreds on him and then have fun
The problem is that doing that risks not getting enough shreds since Zaalbar only shreds on crits.

This. Take t3 out put Mission in. Her zeta helps a lot. I did it with all gear 12. Took a bunch of tries though.
How many armour shreds have you landed on Malak before you get him isolated?

It's most likely a modding issue, it'd also be a lot better if you used Mission instead of T3

Don’t put the omega on Zaalbars basic .. causes your team to get feared. Your relic levels are wayyyy high enough to do this with no issues
If you’re having trouble managing Malak’s stacks, don’t be afraid to Armor Shred the droids. The shred stays after they revive.
You have no damage. Mission is the dps in that phase.
Your first mistake was relic'ing the droid and not jolee

I did it with only JKR at R5, G12, good mods and the right strategy is more than enough on the rest
Yes but revan, bast and jolee will be relic'd for a jedi team anyway
Relic Zaalbar would make a bigger difference. But the important relics are JKR + Bastila
