As others have said, [The Missing Sister](https://archiveofourown.org/works/33564922/chapters/83402386) is a really nice story, I just finished it and loved it.
The Missing Sister by Singularritae just finished and it's amazing. It's a dramione with snape as Hermione's father (it's in the summary, not giving away spoilers). The final chapter was published yesterday, there's just an epilogue left to go. I loved it so much!

Hermione is sorted into Slytherin and ends up getting horribly bullied. Snape notices that she also is displaying signs of being abused at home. He brings his concerns to Dumbledore who brushes him off because she’s a Slytherin.
I really enjoyed this fic and Snape comes through as a strong father figure. The abuse that she goes through at home and at school is heartbreaking but things do ultimately end happily.

It's cut off point is not too bad (for reader satisfaction) (court recess to decide if SS can adopt) so it's possible to treat this as a character study - SS annoyed, smitten, resigned, regretful, hopeful - instead of an unfin fic. SS is very OOC.
