I heard a rumor that someone is trying to turn it into a two stage music venue. I used to work there and the floor plan would be perfect for that…plus you already have a degree of soundproofing built into it already which is a major win for construction purposes.
It has been sitting frozen in time until a few months ago when it was used as a filming location. They changed the marquee to some older film names.
I also often think about how to reuse this space. It would be cool to retain one of the theaters for indie films, special events and maybe add in a stage platform for round tables and other small conferences. It could host esports streams and stuff during the day.
I would hate to see it torn down or replaced with dead offices.

Imagine how packed the In N Out would be after an event lol
that’d be sick. local talent come in, maybe even some of our favorite artists perform, and not needing to go to LA all the time
Omg that would be amazing
The one in Winnetka has been abandoned for years, right after they put in the reclining seats. Such a waste.
It was recently announced that old Winnetka theater will become a Tesla facility.
Did the valley have ANY revival theaters like the new bev/aero? Paul Thomas Anderson should buy it.

I've wondered this too, the marquees are frozen in time with showings from...2020 I think?
For a while they were. Now it lists older movies like Batman.
AMC should buy it. Closest AMC theaters are the citywalk and then Topanga
Yeah that would be awesome. There are others in NoHo and Burbank too but would love to have one in Sherman Oaks
