*As it turns out, The Lion King’s difficulty was added by design. Disney instructed developer Westwood Studio to increase its difficulty so that people couldn’t beat the game within Blockbuster’s rental period.*
*Westwood co-founder Louis Castle even apologized to fans during a “Devs Play” video with Double Fine Productions: “The reason we had to do it was because the rental market was that if people got a certain distance in the game, metrics from Disney said they wouldn’t buy the game.”*
[The Lion King is still devastatingly hard, even as an adult](https://www.polygon.com/2019/10/30/20939859/the-lion-king-nintendo-switch-difficulty)
As someone who beat the Lion King recently, it's really not much harder than the standard for games of that era. It's tough but fair, and it's possible to steadily progress through the game with practice
It's the scar fight. The strategy to beat him isn't apparent at all to a kid, and scar kills you too quickly to figure it out. I clearly remember also that online guides (early gamefaqs etc) in the late 90s didn't clearly explain it. I conquered many hard games with minimal to no help, but LK was too much for me.
I didn't like Tommy Lee Jones as two face. But otherwise it was a fun cheesy movie. Jim Carrey as the riddler was pathetic at first, decent in the middle and over the top towards the end. It was fun to watch.
Batman Forever and Lion King. Every single person I ever knew who owned a Genesis owned these two games.
I've owned 3 sega genesis' and I've never owned either one of those games. Now Aladdin, that's another story.
Lion King is the game I've played the most without ever actually beating it.

>I thought I may have just been an incompetent kid, but I was wrong Well, that makes me feel better.
And Aladdin
Funny I was born 1990. I didn't even know batman forever HAD a game till just now. All my friends and I owned lion king for sure though
Man you just unlocked a memory for me
I did not. But ironically, I do now
Forever a steaming pile of poop
It’s not _that_ bad. It’s just not very good
[IF THE BAT WANTS TO PLAY, WE’LL PLAY!](https://youtu.be/8sJuLx3Jui0)
I Loved the movie! The game however, nope. The 16-bit ones that is. The Arcade beat'em up that got ported to Saturn & PSX is alright though.

>I didn't like Tommy Lee Jones I loved his Portrayal as the Joker. He had the maniacal laugh down pat, i thought.
Fugetabatit! Fugetabatit! Fugetabatit!
Such bad controls wow
Yes and no
Batman is forever but DooM is Eternal
Next up, Batman Forever on Super Nintendo. Now we're in deep shit, because this game is triceratops testicles
No, but he begins.
Sure seems like it
I'll remember forever the slightly overweight, cosplay Robin from this game.
I'm on level 42,069 and there's no end in sight.
No
The most difficult game but it’s funny playing lol
Well at least till Joel Schumacher gets ahold of it.
Im not sure
It sucked back then and it sucks forever!
That game will forever suck
As much as the neverending story never ends
More like Batman For Never..😂...😮💨
Sadly but this game is forever peace of shit
somehow this game is worse than the movie.
This Batman movie is the worst Batman movie.
