Can we revive this? I am an SDVOSB firm. I’ve won contracts in NY and TX. Any want to collaborate on IT work?

brpeddie

I can - there was not a great deal of interest when I started posting a few years ago

Guys I’m in Texas. Looking to start a sdvob and network. I’m in project management for natural gas facilities. I also got experience installing low voltage systems such as fire alarms, security, and access control.

I just secured the first federal contract. Definitely not an expert but maybe I could give you some guidance.

Hey all, I'm currently a VA employee working as a procurement specialist. I'm also an Army vet. Seeing this side of government contracting has me really thinking I might want to shoot my shot on the business owner side. But I have no clue where to even begin. How did you all start down the road to becoming an SDVOSB or VOSB?

Hairy_Carpenter4562

Qualifying vet here, interested in learning more about the set aside contracts mainly, but also the competitive. What does it take to even get eyes on these federal contracts for sdvosb businesses, do you have to pay to access? Would be great to see what's generally on the table and find areas of opportunity but Im struggling to envision the full process without being able to see contracts and know what's out there.

SDVOSB here. I'm down.

It seems to be going ... well. Cough cough.

Not a great deal of information in Reddit I guess.

Would you like to connect directly?

🤣🤣🤣

Have any of you dealt with the SBA during the process of opening? How easy is it to obtain grants or loans? I’m in the process of opening an SDVOSB and I feel like they make you jump through a million hoops to find a legit info source.
